I have had a 2016 Touran 2.0 TDi 150 in the same colour as here (Caribbean blue) for 3 1/2 years now - I have three younger children and the car has become a well-loved family pet. It is a simply superb vehicle for our needs. We live in rural, hilly Devon and need a compact vehicle (the lanes) with bags of space inside and enough grunt to tackle the long fast gradients on the major trunk routes - it feels like Golf to drive, rather than a bus like the other car we considered (the Citroen C4 Grand Picasso or whatever it’s called now).
I love to see reviews like this that show all the vehicle's capabilities including seat flexibility. The Touran is on my list of potentials if I don't buy another van. Possibly out of my price range though, even for a used one with decent spec. I just wonder how heavy a petrol version would feel to drive around - I used to drive a Peugeot 806 some years ago that was like a tank to lug around!

Pretty offensive fat shaming in this basic, characterless review.
