The car is 8 years old and 4 stars are very good. Which car of this age will have 4 or 5 according to actual standards? The Touran is one of the last very safe MPV for families nowadays. Moreover, the 4 starts are mainly because of old supporting assistant versions. Mechanically it is still a 5* car. Look, even the front glass did not brake in the case of an accident. We have this car for our three children and the best choice we did. Very comfortable, with space inside but still reasonably compact size outside.
Ce vénérable Touran âgé de 7 ans se permet d'avoir des résultats comparables à la toute nouvelle 408. C'est une sacrée calotte que met le groupe VAG à Stellantis.
The car is nearly 10 years old and it is not too much importnat for the VW (MPV are loosing its market and are being discontinued by the brands). We can not expect any innovations here.
@@PetrB Volkswagen just updated the car, therefore the model year is 2022 now. You’re missing the point, they shouldn’t be selling a car that doesn’t comply with modern expectations.
@@masonholder69 Well, I just do not agree. I think that every customer should consider what is best for him, not some "higher power". The fact is, that VW is still above average in safety (was in 2016 and still is). Yeas, Volvo will be better, but that is everybodys choice. And it is up to VW how long will continue to sell this car and up to every customer if he or she is going to buy it.
The AEB and the "safety assists" do nothing but make drivers less attentive and more dangerous. This is not an objective test. They also don't protect you from another car crashing into you, so it's wrong to factor them in the safety of the car.
@@Random-nf7qb ok, then you need to find a solution: - stop the world from driving cars, or - stod YOU driving car, or - visit psychiatic hospitan and change your psychopathic thoughts.

Hmmmm, the curtain airbag seems to be a little short to properly protect the childs head?
If you would use rear-facing car seat (which you should for child up to 6 or 7 years) you do not to deal with that.

2012 platform this is actually incredibly good, better than many brand new french cars
Merci pour la vidéo
disappointed over the lack of front interaction airbag

You see one side but you dont see the other one, which is build to save pedestrians also.

Come on VOLKSWAGEN!!!! You can do way better that this.
What's not good?
It was on limit to get 3 stars with that numbers ! Not good for family car !
Not bad either as it’s for sale for 7 years now. Considering that the Fiat Panda and Renault Zoe both got 0 stars in the same test
Not that great
Its Masterpiece
The car is 8 year old now!!!
