Greetings. I've been reading your articles on puffer fish. I saw that your on youtube, so here I am. Subbed now and notifications turned on. May I make a comment here?? Puffer fish- I have dwarf puffers, probably for 3 years now in community tank. Heavily planted. Ones a 90 gal and the other which has 1 dwarf is a 55 gal. Both tanks have adult bichars, one has a Jack Demsey, white cloud minnows, a school of wild native fish (Florida),clueless as to what they are. Back to yanks, picus catfish blue ram in one. Just kind of assorted rescues and purchases. Now, I'm wondering if I'm doing it wrong and am a little stressed. I love all my water pets. Puffers are my fav though. I've got 13 tanks altogether and am excited to watch this here video. I thoroughly enjoyed your written words but seriously, do you think my puffers are in danger or vs. I have no injuries of any fish. 😢 They are fed well with live food. I sure would appreciate any thoughts from anyone. The one saddle bichar is abt 18 inches. He never bothers the puffers and all seem peaceful🧐🤔 am I fooling myself. Is there terror in the tank when the lights turn off. (Funny, but I'm serious)
I think there is always a risk if the fish can fit them in their mouths. You have probably have gotten lucky due to the size of the tank and that it’s planted. It most cases I think the larger fish would have tried to eat them.
@AquariumStoreDepot thank you very much for your honestly. I will now be working on getting another tank and just putting all 3 puffers in there. Then I'll know they are safe✌️⚘️🌴
Great video! Quick question, my tank is currently sitting at around 29-30 degrees celsius and the heater isn’t even on (it’s summer here and warmer in my room). Will that be ok or should I wait for my room temperature to drop? Not quite sure what to do. Thanks 😊
You can purchase a copper test kit - though I’ve only used a Hanna Checker myself which is pretty expensive. LFS might be able to test it if they have a kit available.
