i would love a video about the physical media resurgence. i love audiobooks for the ease, but wow, when i read a physical book, i feel like a kid again in the best way lol
What I really love about this channel is that it really feels like it coming from an actual person who's putting effort into it. This video in particular doesn't feel like a by committee list of ideas, rather just a guy like "Hey here's what I'm finding is working for me, try it out." I find that approach way more relatable and valuable that way. Awesome job man!
Yeah I totally agree. He's not like those other soulless self-improvement channels who have made their whole life philosophy about maximizing productivity to the point of lunacy
To me, doom scrolling has always been like "gambling". You scroll just to find the right video, and then you feel like you should scroll more trying to find a good video to watch or to vibe with.
It's actually designed to be that way. We as species don't really understand statistics and probability the way that we understand food or math. So they take advantage of our lack of knowledge
Have done the same thing this month and not only this, but I feel a sense of accomplishment. The content of a book sticks with me longer and feels much more meaningful than whatever I'm consuming online. And it's much easier to recommend an actual book to my actual friends.
Me too. Been using Libby to expose myself to new books because the local library has a small selection. Used book distributors are great too, I do love a real book. Just read the Magician's trilogy by Lev Grossman, pretty good.
PLEASE DO A VIDEO ON PHYSICAL MEDIA RESURGENCE! It's already incredible the amount of weight that it gets lifted when you start going analogue for many things. I remember years ago I wrote out an entire novelette-length worth of a story in a notebook and realized how much more focused I was with it rather than typing it on the computer. The best part is that I didn't lose the draft when my hard drive from that time died on me. Also, I'm doing tip number 1 to force myself to learn a new language now.
@@ambiarock590 Sadly my target language doesn't exist in DuoLingo, but what I meant with it is replacing the content with content that is in your target language. For instance, watching a show with your target language's dub instead of its original language (if it isn't originally in your target language).
Yes, I'd love it! I've been thinking for a while to pull up my old mp3 player to avoid having my phone in my hand all the time and still listening to music (also with more intentionality). I've been wondering however, how could I listen to podcast and not use my phone to do so because I cannot sleep without an episode of stuff you should know.
Agree, would love this. I watched a 4 part series recently on a guy who started out replacing his Spotify with an old iPod then ended up down the rabbit hole of getting off his phone entirely. Won't spoil the ending...
Especially with ADHD it's so important to get yourself into action. DO something, MAKE stuff, ENGAGE with your hobbies, TALK to people. As you said, social media can be intentionally used as background noise for productivity and it's been a godsend.
I just love the context of a Doom Imp just turning his life around by watching tons of struthless vids lmao, shows that anyone can change if they try enough!
I recently went back to university to get my Master's degree and got an iPad for studying (smaller and more compact than a laptop). Never installed any social media on this iPad. When I feel extremely unproductive, I pick it up and do something on it, which can only be reading some of the university materials, reading other book or drawing/writing. It's been great for productivity!
Ok I’ve been considering an iPad or a kindle or something for this specifically! I have sooooo many dense ass reading to do most of which are sent on pdf and I think I would be able to get more and better quality reading in if I could just yank it out and not be tempted to work on other things or I go to open UA-cam for study lofi music and end up down a rabbit hole and now I own two ball pythons and I WISH this was an exaggeration. But they have also become my “research” project aka learn all things possible about taking care of ball pythons! And my kid also loves them and is super into them and wants us to make a UA-cam channel. So I’m also grateful it’s resulted in a new family hobby. Boy adhd is sort of a helluva “drug” because that sounds awfully similar to a story my friend told about their dad coming home drunk in the middle of the night with a monkey he won in a poker game and he put it in the boys room because he thought they’d be excited when they woke up in the morning. As you can imagine they actually were awoken in no time at all actually by a FREAKING LIVE MONKEY bouncing around their bedroom all of a sudden. So… it could be worse 🤷🏼♀️
@@meghmadeit Honestly that sounds like a lovely and very interesting hobby! Definitely something you can be proud of and tell people about :) Most people don't realize how much knowledge and care goes into taking care of exotic pets. If I met somebody like that at a party, I would gladly listen all about it. And I'm sure many other people feel the same way.
Somehow this person always posts what I need whenever I need it. I was literally just procrastinating on the periodic "vomit method" check-in I do by doom scrolling...
THANK YOU FOR SAYING IT DOESN'T MATTER (that you may never use/need these notes)! So many times I've not taken notes on things because "I don't NEED to". Not everything has to have a productive purpose/future use!
Paradoxically, I have been sort of avoiding your videos, knowing full well that they would be benefitiary for me. It was important for me to watch this one though, and with uni coming up I am somewhat excited to start this process of detaching myself from my phone addiction
@@markm0000 bro what? english is my second language, it's just how I came to learn to use it, literally what's your issue? I wrote it 'too well'? huh? 😂
One game changer for me was turning off UA-cam recommendations, and this works across all of my devices. Shorts are not an option unless I actively seek a specific one and even then it doesn't let me scroll beyond 3 shorts. I cannot tell you how often I have come onto UA-cam to kill time, realized that none of my subscriptions have posted anything since an hour ago, and moved on to do better things. Really makes you actively seek content rather than watching the first bit of content that appears on the screen.
REAL ^^ i’d like to add onto this: i’ve had my reccs off across my devices since last year and my time on youtube has dropped so much an iphone app i highly recommend for doing this is called youtube untrap :0 it only works on safari youtube tho, not the app, so be wary of that. but i prefer it like this anyways because the website’s ui is less addicting and a bit more clunky so i naturally use it less it feels so much more intentional too cause now i mainly check my curated subscriptions and search for things i wanna see now, not something fed to me
This was a great watch. I've turned my screen time into quality time outdoors, hiking, shooting on film, and befriending random cats everywhere. 10/10 would recommend.
i feel like this video will genuinely, singlehandedly, help so many people out of content addiction. genuinely a really good and helpful breakdown of the mechanics of addiction that doesn't lean too heavily into "just don't use your phone". wish i could like it twice so instead i'm commenting
I usually never comment but man, this video put a smile on my face all along. It just gave me this warm feeling that we’re all in this together and that you make us part of your journey. You just have this deeply unique, relatable, valuable and creative voice that questions, challenges, conforts, inspires and motivates. Your themes, concepts, visuals, everything is always so spot on. I’m so grateful that you share your humanity with us on this corner of the internet and I’m very glad I stumbled upon you years ago, probably in a doomscrolling session. Loved your first book and super excited for the next. Thank you for making me grow. Full support and love, man! x
Being equally blessed and cursed with anhedonia, don't get that endorphin hit from anything. Cut down my UA-cam list the other days as I just wasn't watching 'content'. When it comes to social media, FB is tedious memes and ads, Reddit has the same tedious gubbins that turns me off. On that note, there are the days of desperation in the hope of something interesting. Thanks for adding productive and positive joy into the world, always love me some joy in this crazy realm. Heh, love your creative suggestion at the end, reminds me of a video I was watching the other day regarding putting more of yourself into the world instead of just consuming what others create. Lots of good info, especially the replacement therapy gubbins. Really need to do more of that.
I rarely hear people talk about anhedonia! I think you could educate and be relatable to A LOT of others if you share about your condition. Many, many people experience anhedonia as a symptom of PAWS (post acute withdrawal syndrome) when they get sober, especially from opiates. It's so disheartening to find that one of the byproducts of doing something incredibly positive and imperative for your well-being is that you are unable to feel the joy one would imagine such a huge accomplishment would provide. Thank you for sharing, and wishing you all the best.
I find that staying informed could also be done by reading the local newspaper (the physical one) and to make a bit of a ritual out of it (I usually have my morning coffe with the newspaper). At least where I live, the newspaper covers local issues and local plans in a way that makes it easy to stay informed of what is happening in your city or community. It's also a good way to find topics for those breaks at work where you don't know the person that you sit down with too well. It also centers my worldview a bit to the local area and to the present day most of the time.
Centring your local area is so key. Lots of people around me can give a play by play of current American politics but don't even know we have our own election coming up. How can you feel part of a community if you don't know what's happening around you!
I just started watching it, but i wanted tell you that your videos are always so nicely looking (if that's even how you say it), idk, i love the drawings and cartoonish style you do even for the smallest things, love it
i love love love this video, it's so intelligent and should be required watching for anyone using technology right now. I'm slowly getting better, but one of the biggest barriers for me is that a lot of that content that challenges and inspires me is in amongst apps like instagram and tiktok, and that makes it even harder to limit my time on those apps. recently, as a way to both consume that good stuff on tiktok specifically rather than just doomscrolling the fyp, i've been scrolling through my saved videos, which - for the most part - removes that instant dopamine hit because i've already seen it, and allows me to just consume content i know is helpful? but yeah, long journey and all that.
I don’t think I ve ever left a comment . But I just want you to know that your videos are amazing. They provide so much value. And the work you put in them shows! Keep it up! You are an amazing human being !!!
I would absolutely adore a video from you on moving from digital back to physical media. I'm not one to collect vinyl quite like a couple of my friends, but I'd never really considered buying myself a separate camera before. Now I'm awash with thoughts of taking pictures of my cats. Cleaning my house so it's presentable and photo-worthy (especially for cooking/baking photos). Going out hiking and taking pictures of the fall colors, now that they're starting to come out. Makes me wonder what else I haven't thought of.
Been trying hard to cut down screen time recently to focus on my mental and physical health. This video could not have arrived at a better time for me! Thanks for the tips, some of them I was already implementing but I especially love the app suggestions for healthier things to do on the phone rather than using social media.
I will close my computer right now and go do things I have been procrastinating. Like decluttering all my stuff. Thank you kind and wise man on the internet. I appreciate you being alive and bringing your messages to the world!
This is exactly what I needed right now, thank you thank you!! I've recently been diagnosed with ME/CFS and as a consequence of not being able to do much else, I've fallen into the abyss of endless scrolling. I can feel my brain decaying and I hate it. I've been in search for weeks of methods that are not just 'lock your phone in a box' and let me tell you, this video is an absolute game changer. What a blessing to find on my feed today.
Love your channel! I feel bad for people that are addicted to their phones. I carry mine with me all the time. I use it for all sorts of things. But when it beeps with a notification, I usually ignore it and look at it later at an intentional time. That doesn't mean I never doomscroll. I doomscroll once ever 2 or 3 months. Usually when I am physically and mentally too tired to do anything else and am being too stubborn to go to bed. I highly recommend your research project. That is my typical "go to". Lately I'm into gardening. I am loving learning more about gardening. Also highly recommend audiobooks and physical activity. I do a lot of that.
Your content literally never dissapoints. The way you make your videos feels authentic and you speak open and honestly about different problems. Thank you for that!
Google Arts & Culture has really fun learning games. I end up doing a bunch of research so I can figure out where I am in the world from a Google street map or what time period an art work is from. Keeps me engaged way more than social media and its my go-to when I feel the scroll coming on.
I really like this UA-cam chrome extension called Unhook that lets you decide what features of UA-cam to turn off - so like I turn of all recommended videos on the side and the recommended page, and only see my subscriptions feed. You can hide trending, or comments or shorts. its pretty great paired with deleting UA-cam off my phone it means i don't just throw on stupid UA-cam videos one after the other.
Switching to analog is amazing. I got into fountain pens a few years ago. Aside from enjoying the tactile experience of writing with an great pen, the beauty of the functional art some of these companies sell, in the form of both pen and ink options, can be mind blowing. Pairing pens with excellent paper has led me to love using paper planners again -- though not exclusively for planning. For the past couple of years, I've been getting an A5 size Hobonichi for journaling and brain dumping, and a Hobonichi Weeks Mega as a reading tracker and commonplace book. Great way to engage my brain, stay curious, use my pens, and avoid mindless tech.
i feel the same way about all of this. the hobonichi weeks totally changed my life; it is the only planner that i've kept up with daily for going on three years now. so proud!
@@mac7134Yes, I'll never be without a Hobonichi again! I'm trying a Hon this year to see if I like the hardcover style of the Cousin. 😊 A local stationary shop set up at the Orlando Pen Show this year had Hobonichi -- I love JetPens, but I'm excited that I can support a local FL business now, too! Props for the Garfield & Friends profile pic, that made me smile!
Best video I’ve watched in a long time. Especially loved how you used the notebook for everything and the little fold around tabs! Reminded me of the kind of stuff I’d make when I was younger, before technology really took over. Made me want to write stuff on paper again! Off to go learn some Korean now! Thanks mate, you are a true hero of our society
In some video's you show tidbits of your room, and the stuff I see really inspires me for decorating my own room, would you consider doing a room tour video? :) Keep up the great work!🫶
I probably lean toward Removal, but I do employ a few Replacement strategies. A key one, I think you overlooked in #6 is to read physical books. I also make a game out of seeing if I can get my screen time down from last week. I'm not always successful, but it gives me something to aim for.
I have to say that I love how simple you kept this. Good explanations, to the point, minimal graphics (but on brand), relatable and humorous. Thank you for another excellent topic and video.
I've never understood the allure of social media or news or any of those scrolling apps, but still always enjoy the stuff from this channel. Its that uplifting positive part of the internet that is so refreshing, while also a brief look into lives other than my own
I've been following your videos for quite a some time now. And I gotta say you have got the most unique way of processing these concepts. I really love the way you think, the creativity and the time you put into thinking about these subjects; and the ground to earth advice you are sharing. Highly appreciated, thank you, Campbell!
This is, in my own personal opinion, one of the best videos I've watched on youtube regarding breaking the content addiction, great job! Will use these tips.
Your point about using media to accompany doing something productive was a reminder I really needed because I tend to just get stuck scrolling on my phone (or laptop) whenever I feel sad or anxious. Then I feel bad at the end of the day because I got nothing done and am still in the negative mental state. On the few occasions I have used music or a podcast as a distraction while cleaning my room. I've felt much better afterwards and I guess I needed someone else to tell me I need to start doing that more often.
Words are less,to describe my thankfulness.Your content is quite practical , extremely useful and most important, very easy to switch. I loved it,this video, your Vent system and also your thoughts on Perfectionism.Waiting for more useful like these.
Thank you man, you’re videos always help me at my worst and help specific problems I hardly know I have . And the solutions you suggest are so good too , unlike anything I’ve heard anyone say before on the internet , I really appreciate it
"We're all gonna die! Remember?! Haha." 😂That's the spirit! I recently uncovered a tiiny book store. I was short on time, stormed in, spent all my money I had with me just because I wanted to support it and carried my loot home. Since then, I spent each evening reading two to three chapters and man. It's so good. The store focused on good books, not this empty self-insert-bs that dominates the market and made me stop reading novels. And they have (paper) notebooks. Seriously, one can never have enough notebooks. That's a fact(?)! Thank you for your videos, I love how honest and reflected they are and I like how you draw so much by hand for them. Have a nice weekend!
This was great! ✨ I've been using the greyscale filter on my phone for a couple years now and it makes a HUGE difference. Social media is so much less interesting to look at when everything is bland. I'm definitely going to look into that minimalist launch app, that looks like it'd be up my alley 🙂 I can also attest to the research project bit. Earlier this year I was working on illustrating a card game based in pre modern Japan. So to ensure that my clothing/weapon/color/etc choices were all authentic and respectful of the source material, I devoured so much content researching ancient Japanese culture. It was so refreshing to sit down and watch some intentionally selected UA-cam videos instead of just whatever happened to pop up in my feed. And at the end of it, I felt proud of myself for learning more about something I have an interest in. Plus! I also now have a finished card game with awesome character illustrations that I'm confident will honor the culture it's representing 😄
My biggest pitfall is what you call the comfort vortex - and I usually fall into that when I have no mental and physical energy left and I just need to lie on the sofa and do nothing, even reading a book or watching a film would be too demanding at that point. I suppose what I need then is to somehow get transported into a forest or to the seaside to have a nap in an outside setting, maybe that would help xD
Off to podcast and clean for the second day in a row. Yesterday I needed it because I was feeling off, but today I’m motivated by all the progress I made yesterday. Thanks!
Lol yes! I was prompted to comment thanks to the distraction section. I'm literally listening to and watching this while drawing with headphones on after having a bit of an introvert-meltdown due to the last few days having lots of new things starting, new people, and some stressful social situations that were unavoidable BUT I tackled them really well. This list is beauuuutifully thought out and delivered, also a huge yes to turning your phone into your own personal hopecore tool instead of falling prey to the doomscrolling and compounding upon the bad feelings by consuming bad material. Yay. back to the drawing and a mental note to reach out to a loved one for some support later and to share how today has been pretty heavy!
Inspired 😁✨ thank you - I don't know how you do it but your content is consistently some of the most genuine, useful, insightful stuff on the internet.
Cam thank you once again for your amazing insight and advice! I’ve been recently trying to spend less time on my phone because I just feel like I live in a constant loop, of work, cook, clean, scroll etc. not fun, I’m trying to spend more time doing my art when I’m not at work. So this is great, and I just really really appreciate these videos! Thank you! 🥰
taking notes is a great one. I often wish i had taken notes from many of your youtube videos. But then i remember, i have your book, and am waiting for the next one! Thanks for the great art again campbell :)
This is one of my favorite videos you’ve made recently. Thank you for sharing the way you see things and caring about the future of humanity enough to make it actionable and helpful!
I REALLY LIKE THiS list i have my own personal mantra that i must create before i consume and have 1 memorable moment of the day i could look back on before i sleep so i never feel "empty handed" thank you. ALSO as well i didnt consider my history research as really creating something but i guess it is :D i'll be more optimistic reading now i always read a book before leaving university in the library. i learned aboutt real estate evaluation todayy
Your channel is extremely valuable and should be introduced to every young man ever. Bonus points: sit down and note everything down. I just did that and I felt grateful.
Great video, gonna e sharing this to all my friends who definitely struggle with this like I do. And I would LOVE a video from you about the resurgence of physical media
This is exactly what I needed! I recently realized it’s not just social media addiction for me it’s content addiction and I appreciate you addressing it with action items so much
Love everything about this! I just switched to using a fitness journal for my gym workouts instead of opening my fitness app and I honestly felt more connected and motivated during my workout!
I love that you show me there is a way out in case I find myself in a similar situation as you were in one day. I will find the inner strength and beat my habits same as you did!
When I saw ChronoPhoto I knew you created another banger. The thumbnail is repulsive and kept me from clicking for a few days, but that's probably how our brains look like anyway when doomscrolling, lol. Your organic friend-like approach with just showing what worked for you while also summarizing it into a youtube video is far better than when watching videos on the similar topic (habits, replacing them, addiction etc) that are more informative in nature. Asking myself "what now?" when looking at myself hitting a slump, it has always been helpful to ask replacement-type thoughts like "what projects I can continue working on again?" rather than focusing of removal. It's almost like a beacon to come back to when things aren't working out. For that I'd like to thank you again for reminding me of it! Much love
Also for people that love wallpapers alongside said minimalist homescreen I'd shill Olauncher! Some things are so important, you want to look at them 50 times a day to keep going. that's all good! (ofc, you can turn it off by holding "Daily new wallpaper" too)
Love this! I’ve been doing far less doomscrolling lately anyway but this video has ended my bout for today. I’m now off to read the new National Geographic that I’d been wanting to read. Thanks! And yes - a video on physical media would be great!!
Im normally never commenting, but god gracious are you a great human being. Thank your for that content. Your character, charm, experience and work you put in it really makes me do the things or adopt parts you recommend.
This video came as recommendation literally the same second i switched from tik tok to youtube thinking about how bad my scrolling "habit" is. Gotta love syncronicity
yes i would love to hear about your experience with film photography! going analogue in that aspect makes me think more about what parts of my life i want to capture and retain on a strip of negatives, as opposed to the ease of a phone camera that has hundreds of pictures that look the same. it also makes me want to actively go and explore the suburbs and the tiny details i wouldn't see if i was consumed by media, work or school.
I have a UA-camn’t Shortcuts automation , active a few hours before bed, that waits 5 seconds, closes UA-cam, and locks the screen. I can totally open UA-cam again but after three or four times I’m just annoyed and move on to something else.
@@AHAH578 it’s done using the IOS Shortcuts app, all you have to do is create a shortcut to lock the screen or whatever you want it to do, then go to the Automations tab and add one for when App is opened -> Youtuve.
Needed this video! I'm 4 weeks postpartum, and I'm using my phone to keep me awake during night feeds - nice to have some ideas of what to do instead of doomscrolling!
My anti chum bucket - We didn’t start the fire. Working my way through the Billy Joel song and reading/researching people and events throughout the song and looking at how various events and incidents are related.
Thanks again, Cam, for everything you do. Re reading Your Brain Is rn after seriously trying to turn over a new leaf in getting my life together. Love you, Papá I hope you're well 🖤
I feel like videos like this ignore the underlying issues that make short-term content consumption really appealing. Like, nobody has free time anymore, which makes twitter this ideal pick-up-and-put-down thing while you wait for tasks from your supervisor. It's low committal, and terrible, but that feels like all I can afford these days. Definitely can't bring a book to the toilet unless you want hemorrhoids. Someone should be talking about ways to facillitate the things discussed in this video for people with low time and energy!
I used to clean (something that I don't like) while listening to music (something that I love) but recently discovered that I can listen to podcast while cleaning and actually understand the message, not as dumb as I thought.
Love it! Thanks for the great video. I have started to implement some of these already on my own, now inspired to make more changes! Regarding number six (replacement with analog); I noticed I grabbed my phone a lot to look at the time. Bought a watch and it has really helped (not a smart watch that distracts with notifications!). Now I pick up my phone way less :)
thank you for this video !! literally needed it because i was stuck doom scrolling and it just icked me out to even scroll anymore so i knew i had to find solutions to this. the day before yesterday i didnt use my phone 30 minutes before bed and slept good and then the next day when i used my phone right before i went to sleep, i slept awfully and kept waking up and sleeping in more
This video couldn't have come at a better time! I feel like I've started every day of the last week with at least 30 minutes of scrolling but now I have a foothold on ways to think about how to improve it.
I really appreciate the options of how to use your tech better, like website recommendations! I want to be using my phone to learn but I don’t always know the places to look that aren’t mining my attention. Thanks!
I most definitely want a video on physical media ressurgence. I can never have enough videos and essays on physical media ressurgence. Please and thank you!

Good luck with your Master's degree!
@@nettorak Thank you!!
Somehow this person always posts what I need whenever I need it. I was literally just procrastinating on the periodic "vomit method" check-in I do by doom scrolling...
You are so right. I’m trying to get back on track bc I’m going back to school this year 🤭.
I would say +1 again ONLY this time I *voted* for this topic, intentionally-because I need as much struthless content as I can get 👌
THANK YOU FOR SAYING IT DOESN'T MATTER (that you may never use/need these notes)!
Bro you’re wiring comments like it’s some homework assignment. That’s not how you solve a problem. It’s been 3 weeks I highly doubt you quit.
@@markm0000 what's bad about writing grammatically correct? at least they're not the one leaving comments bringing others down....
REAL ^^ i’d like to add onto this: i’ve had my reccs off across my devices since last year and my time on youtube has dropped so much
an iphone app i highly recommend for doing this is called youtube untrap :0 it only works on safari youtube tho, not the app, so be wary of that. but i prefer it like this anyways because the website’s ui is less addicting and a bit more clunky so i naturally use it less
it feels so much more intentional too cause now i mainly check my curated subscriptions and search for things i wanna see now, not something fed to me
This was a great watch. I've turned my screen time into quality time outdoors, hiking, shooting on film, and befriending random cats everywhere. 10/10 would recommend.
"Internet poisoning!" I love it. YOU MAY NOT REALIZE how helpful this video is, I'm taking notes NOW. Came here after doom srolling.
i feel like this video will genuinely, singlehandedly, help so many people out of content addiction. genuinely a really good and helpful breakdown of the mechanics of addiction that doesn't lean too heavily into "just don't use your phone". wish i could like it twice so instead i'm commenting
Full support and love, man! x
Doom scrolling lead me to this video

I would absolutely love a video on the physical media resurgence
CFS = chronic fatigue syndrome?
^^^ this helps sm
Would absolutely LOVE a video on physical media!!!
Amazing video as always, Thankyou!! 🙌🏻
Keep up the great work!🫶
I probably lean toward Removal, but I do employ a few Replacement strategies.
Its that uplifting positive part of the internet that is so refreshing, while also a brief look into lives other than my own
I have a STRUTHLESS ADDICTION 🤭
I've been using the greyscale filter on my phone for a couple years now and it makes a HUGE difference. Social media is so much less interesting to look at when everything is bland. I'm definitely going to look into that minimalist launch app, that looks like it'd be up my alley 🙂
I can also attest to the research project bit.
Spot on regarding replace/removal process and mindful consumption! 🙏🔥👍
I am so LOVE LOVING your analog additions to the video content! It speaks to me in a different way and I feel more connected to it somehow. THANK YOU
Off to podcast and clean for the second day in a row.
Good stuff, and as always, I love your illustrations! Thanks for the inspo!
Thank you! 🥰
THANK YOU!!! Can’t say how much I appreciate your channel
taking notes is a great one.
Yes PLEASE to a physical media resurgence video! I would be delighted to learn more about that. Keep up the awesome work!
Create before Consume sound nice strategy!
Your channel is extremely valuable and should be introduced to every young man ever.
Bonus points: sit down and note everything down. I just did that and I felt grateful.
Absolutely loved this video! It's always such a treat for when you post!
Your book (head is a house boat) was game changing for me & i love basically all your content x
love your takes Cam :) the format is fun and simple too!
Tip #10 is so good.
And yes please make a video on physical media!!
Yessss you left me informed instead of just a passive observer and THAT is what I love about your content. Thank you for sharing!
yes i would love to hear about your experience with film photography! going analogue in that aspect makes me think more about what parts of my life i want to capture and retain on a strip of negatives, as opposed to the ease of a phone camera that has hundreds of pictures that look the same. it also makes me want to actively go and explore the suburbs and the tiny details i wouldn't see if i was consumed by media, work or school.
You really are a legend. I really needed this video right now, thank you!!!
I have a UA-camn’t Shortcuts automation , active a few hours before bed, that waits 5 seconds, closes UA-cam, and locks the screen. I can totally open UA-cam again but after three or four times I’m just annoyed and move on to something else.
how do you do this?
This is the first video I've seen about doom scrolling solutions that actually seams realistic and doable, thank you so much for making it!
I used to clean (something that I don't like) while listening to music (something that I love) but recently discovered that I can listen to podcast while cleaning and actually understand the message, not as dumb as I thought.
I really look forward to your videos man. Thanks for the wisdom!
10/10 advice as usual, thoughtful and solution based. Also the use of a hand made notebook for your visuals really really made this click.
God this video was exactly what I needed. So articulate, considered and helpful!
Number 10 really hit me. It's so true for me! Thanks Campbell - you're a legend.
Documentary UA-cams instead of mindless doomscrolling. I really like the TRACKS ones. :)
Board games from 100+ years ago are unfortunately not good :(
Past 20-30 years have some great ones though
Love this video! 💛And please do a video on physical media resurgence!! 😍🙌
Definitely one of my biggest inspirations and one of the best places I look for advice in making positive shifts in my life
Thank you for this. I love the way you think, and that you share these things with us. Also, cheers from one recovering addict to another :)
I love the format of the presentation on paper. Very creative and unique
Would LOVE a video on the resurgence of physical media! This video was unreal. I will be trying a lot of these. Thank you!
thank you for this video !! literally needed it because i was stuck doom scrolling and it just icked me out to even scroll anymore so i knew i had to find solutions to this. the day before yesterday i didnt use my phone 30 minutes before bed and slept good and then the next day when i used my phone right before i went to sleep, i slept awfully and kept waking up and sleeping in more
This video couldn't have come at a better time! I feel like I've started every day of the last week with at least 30 minutes of scrolling but now I have a foothold on ways to think about how to improve it.
Your videos always give me such a sense of hope and direction. Thanks for another great one. I think I'm gonna go Make Stuff now.
