      Meat is amazing for your health as long as you ONLY eat meat. Meat is better for you then vegetables, why? Because humans live longer eating meat over eating only vegetables. U felt like shit because you ate trash with the meat. Try a carnivore diet and you will feel waaaay better then on any vegan or vegetarian diet. Im 102 years old and have been eating only meat for 91 years. I can still jog

    Wfpb vegan has been the easiest diet ever. So so many times I've sat and starved myself because I thought carbs were just evil. One month after being completely vegan I realise I can eat as much as I need to feel full. My energy is booming. I have 3 small children and being so over weight from the "ketogenic diet" that I thought would help me, I felt so lifeless. I felt like I could barely keep up with them. Now more than a month into it I'm so much happier. So much more energy. If you are reading this and struggling to adhere to a vegan diet, please take this from someone who has struggled for so long with weight, arthritis, asthma, high blood pressure. All of this will melt away completely. I have my life back!

    I can't believe he's 63 years old! He looks amazing! It's strange but when I was young, my doctor told me to eat meat again. At this point, I was vegetarian for 3 years. I was living in Santa Monica, California and also unaware of the health benefits of being vegan. Now that I just turned 47 I finally became Vegan. It's hard to find support here in Texas. Although, I wonder why some doctors are against the Vegan diet? Sometimes, I feel afraid to tell some people that I'm Vegan cuz they get combative. For example, my coworkers, when I told them I was vegetarian in California took me to a restaurant. Of course, my manager ordered steak and he acted like he was killing it on the plate at the dinner table in front of me. I felt so upset, that I will not go out to eat with non-vegans. It was 20 years ago, but I felt that traumatized me. Where do I support as a new vegan? Also, as an older woman, I feel that young u tubers are hateful towards older people. Eventhough, they are vegan, they express hate towards middle-aged people which I have experienced. I'd like to find a vegan support group that not ageist. Big hugs and much love, from Texas!🤓❤❤

    I think you were right asking the pertinent question about blurring the message. The problem that these health professionals have is that they try to communicate a comprehensive message; everything from animal rights, to health and all the way to climate change is being thrown in. The problem with that is that people at some point stop listening and tell themselves "it can't be that bad to eat meat and dairy". This is especially sad because the message on health alone is so strong that it should blow everyone away.

    It was seeing the thriving vegan athletes in the Game Changers the ultimately convinced me to make that change 2 years ago. I wish that I had not been so hard headed about my health, and made the changer earlier in my life, but it's understandable once you see that we've been lied to by the meat industry about needing meat. Everything about my health has gotten so much better. I see people now that are clearly sick and overweight and when I've tried to mention this diet, then get extremely defensive. It's obvious that a lot of people will continue to die early from poor diets of animal protein, and highly processed food.

    I was vegetarian and at times vegan for 32 years and had all of the metabolic syndrome issues and 280 lbs at 5 ft 9 inches tall. Last June I changed to Carnivore Diet and eat grass-fed beef and chickens raised on free ranging diet and take fish oil (also took fish oil on veggie diet). I lost 35 lbs and have plateaued but keeping it off now 9 months into my new Carnivore Diet. For the first time in my memory my lipid panel was normal, my A1C 6.0 and going down from 6.5, my joint pain down by at least 75%, my doctor saying it so far appears that I'm no longer with NAFLD or Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease, no bloating, no gas pains, no constipation, no rectal bleeding, no sense of starving with weight loss... Why? On vegan diet I at least 3 times attempted weight loss and starving and gaining back more than before? On Carnivore Diet I've never felt hungry. Could it be my body type is more conducive to Carnivore Diet? Thanks for a great interview. I am a person who can look at myself, see I need change, and do so.

    • @Daniel23544
      @Daniel23544 14 днів тому

      You should **not** have been starving on a vegan diet. One of the first rules on a Whole Foods Plant-based Diet is NEVER GO HUNGRY. Because veggies and fruits are lower in calories, you must consume starches like potatoes, rice and other grains along with a large serving of vegetables and you must eat to the full satisfaction of your hunger. If you broke that rule, there is no question you would fail. Read Dr. John McDougall and Dr. Michael Greger’s books. Essentially, you failed because you didn’t approach it correctly.

      @@Daniel23544 Thank you very much for taking the time to consider me! If I have carbs my body converts them into sugar and then it's stored as fat. I went on Carnivore Diet for 2 years. I plateaued and was keeping 40lbs off. A lot of things improved but I am genetically predisposed to heart disease as my father died of a massive heart attack and my mother had a quadruple bypass. So on 5-3-24 I had a heart attack and a stent placed in my LAD artery in my heart. I'm on 93/7 grass-fed ground beef and veggies and just a little fruit as I am prediabetic. I'm also eating some Atkins candy at times. Does that sound good? During my hospital stay they put me on a lot of new meds (6) and concerned about that.

    It’s great that everyone can now learn about healthful diets thanks to Dr. Barnard. He is a great communicator whose positive approach is a model to us all. Many thanks to him and PCRM!
