For such a small Island the U.K. has an amazing number of beautiful places, both natural and man made, However it’s not all like the movies like to present it, many towns and cities have been trashed since the 1950’s with cheap junk architecture. Fortunately there’s still a lot of beauty to see and enjoy the unique character.

I grew up in Newquay. I'm now 60. Cornwall is nothing like it once was. It was a magical, quiet place, but very busy in July and August, then everyone went home and the locals had it all to themselves. Sadly, no longer. It's busy all year round. In the 60s and 70s, there used to be a trampoline park where the Tolcarne Beach car park is now.
I live in Newquay and I can tell you It’s definitely not depressing. It’s a buzzing town all year round, crazy in the summer. This is in the middle of winter.

Surfed Towan a couple months back in bigger swell. Was so so sick
