Once I was involved with a man who jumped from bridge to the river. Drugs, alkohol, mental health. Luckily river was not deep and somehow drugs made him immue to the pain. However when he went to A&E he had to wait 5h. Soaky wet, under influence, after suicide attempt. Not even quickly checked to determine if he should be treated as priority.

I never understood how someone with an able body can be homeless in the UK other than by choice. I came here with a suitcase without knowing anyone or even speaking the language, no useful qualifications whatsoever. Rented a room, found a shitty job and started to progress. I worked in a Chinese restaurant, a 3 star hotel, factories, warehouses, been a forklift driver, delivery driver, worked in a scrapyard, etc and in the meantime I learnt the language, studied and now I'm an engineer mostly sitting in my office designing parts all day long. I'm able to rent a 3bed semi detached with a nice garden, have 2 cars and regular holidays abroad. Oh and never in my life I had a penny benefit.

Lived there in 1968-1971 ... Angus Court. It was beautiful back then. We kids would walk to downtown, go to the swimming pool, theatre, shopping, and carnivals. It's all changed for the worse unfortunately. Very sad.

When i lived in Glastonbury (second half of the 80s) wasnt that hard to rent a place to live - there were bedsits above shops on the high street and there were also plenty of travellers. Now anyone one with a spare room sticks on air bnb and the people living in vans arent travellers - mainly because there's no where to go.

Yes they should stay and other groups need the opportunity to move their caravans to safe spots. You been up north? Bristol's a kids party compared to Middlesbrough and the west end of Newcastle 😂 it was obviously bin day there. Some of the best shops are in Easton and I've always found everyone there very friendly.

I know this is an old video, the works are to supposedly regenerate the town centre but 10 months later they’re ongoing still. I worked in Yeovil for 3 years, driving out for the last time wasn’t emotional!

ZIGZAG building and adiacent land has nothing to do with the caravan problem in Glastonbury. Redbrick building is creating most of the issue by providing water, toilets and free food/tea/cakes/coffee to alternative dwellers and due to no parking restrictions on the roads around Redbrick building, created this issue that's wrongfully targeted ZIGZAG building when the problem is Redbrick building and alway been Redbrick building.
