One of my favorite singers of all time. He performed in an outdoors concert in Heber Springs Ar when I was living there. Nothing fancy just him sitting on the stage singing and playing his guitar. Still my top concert I ever attended.
I love seeing & hearing Don's "live" shows with this band here. Been watching a few lately, & they are all fabulous. I love watching Danny play & seeing his "guitar player faces" he makes, really getting into it! 😉👌👍
It seemed like this live version may have sounded more rock sounding as opposed to the studio recording. Don was also on Soundstage a few years earlier and Danny really turned up the amp on TT. What was the bassists name. I know it was David something.
Bass player is Dave Pomeroy. I think he is now president of the Nashville Musicians Union. Still very active as a bass player on stage and in the studio. He's an awesome talent!
@Heidi Miltz you must not know that Danny flowers WROTE the song and performed it even on Austin City Limits even. Don Williams paid Danny for rights to record it. Do your Homework!
Only Don Williams can pull this one off !!! RIP Don !!!
Clapton pulled it off pretty damned well....
Eric Claptons cover was good.
My favorite tunes when would hang out with my grandparents back in the day❤
I'm about to pack up and go back home, I'ts ok that California didn't work out, This song sums up me right now.
Are you home? I'm right behind you. 🎉
As a California resident for 19 years, GOOD LUCK
Never look back ! California ? ………🤔🤮
Rock on

Being from tulsa this is one of my favorites

This song is pretty simple, but it is a ton of fun to play. Lol
First time my son was singing it playing drums at a show lol I call him Tulsa time
He was such a great one, his music lives on
Absolutely the best, he did everything great. Don you were the best, thank you, love this song
funk musician here... this groove is great.....
One of the all-time greats...gone, Sept. 2017
His leg hits that beat every time.
Mine does too every time I listen to it!
Its habit of guitarist. .i am a guitarist too .... Enjoy Don playing
The ULTIMATE line dance song.

Love this song so much! I can't believe I still remember the words to this, after decades of not hearing it. I guess music stays in your head forever.
Especially a song as good as this one
A song like this stays in your soul
So, so true! 👌
It's a part of you, which is a good thing.
This is an undeniable banger.
My Dad used too sing this song
He was a cow boy and a gentleman
My dad too great fan of Don..from india
The best two chord song ever written
I love the way Don’s foot doesn’t miss a beat with the music
I wish the vast catalogue of Austin City Limits would be remastered to 4K.
My man on keys just vibin over there 🤙
I love this song and every song by Don Williams
Old school sounds perfect.
Manual instruments talented musician plus electronics for effects we get good music
Never heard a better rendition of this song. This guy was GOOD!
Tya kindly, one of the best ever .
I think I prefer this over the studio version. Such a great performance
