Just went to George Strait in Milwaukee what caught my attention there was people of all ages at his concert 12 to 80 years old all walks of life love his music.
Boy June 15th, 2024 at Kyle Field was a sight to see. 110,905 people got to experience The King George Strait perform at the largest concert in the USA. Glad to be a part of that.
Can only say he was then and still is the KING. Down to Earth COUNTRY. I always told everyone in the early 80s that King GEORGE would be. GREAT He did not let me down. To do Baby Blue after the loss of his Daughter he was a True Blue MAN. I lost a daughter who LOVED George more than me. My Heart felt SORROW goes out to a GREAT PERSON. This show sounds like a greatest hit compilation from the 80's. I am not at all disappointed. As far as I'm concernbed, George's best music was from the 80's and 90's.
Exactly! He didn't even have to play his guitar and he still killed it! Whoever did his sound and mic'd all the instruments without any feedback or leakage, I would say has mastered his craft!
It's pretty unbelievable just how on the mark he is vocally. He's just spot on. Always. And so effortless. He just stands there looking good and kills it. King George.

I love George’s old concert footages. He was such a love, so cute, and loved to be funny. He really loves being a showman. George always gives his best and put his whole heart into every song he sang. I have followed his career since way back in the 1970s before he signed with Nashville. He is like a little brother to me. I have watched him from a distance grow into the best man that I know, you just can’t help loving everything he does. We both just grew old together, I see him now at 69 and my heart just swells with memories of all the joy he has brought to my life through his singing. I also love every member of his “Ace in the Hole”band, they grew old with him. He still got it. It is just better now, just like real good aged whiskey, smooth and mellow. I’m just waiting for him to drop another album and get entertainer of the year again at 70 years old. This April 23, I turn 70 before him! Then May 18 his birthday he’ll be 70, exactly 25 days after mine. We are Taurus & I am stubborn, Norma said one time he was. And I hope he stands the test of time and goes down in history as the best ever. More number one hits than any artist in any genre. Last I counted it was 60!!! A friend of mine and I were blessed to have met him personally in about 1982 in Fresno, CA. He wasn’t even the headliner yet. Merle Haggard was. We met his Road/Tour Mgr Tom Foote (RIP, we so recently lost him-he was very good people) who invited us to go aboard the tour bus. After that, we walked next door to the hotel where the band (and we) was staying and sat in the bar to listen to music, have a drink, and chat. It was quiet and empty in the bar with the concert still ongoing next door. At first, it was just Tom, my friend and I, and a couple band members….but a short time later, in walks George and his career manager Erv Woolsey (RIP Erv also 💔). It was an evening to never be forgotten. We both were able to have a dance each with George. I’ve enjoyed a continuous friendship with Tommy Foote to this present day. He just passed on weeks ago. I’m deeply saddened by his sudden and very unexpected passing.
I am in awe of George Strait’s performance in the first episode of season 14 of Austin City Limits. I can’t imagine how Strait and his band were able to stay so focused with that wild crowd. Strait is a born entertainer and his performance is captivating. I’m not even a big country music fan, but I’ve already watched this clip three times.👍

Years ago, early 70's every band that played ACL would play for about 50 minutes. None of this two band an hour thing. And when they played they would pick and intro song so that everyone in the band got to showcase their talents. I guarantee you that is why George did it. I am sure he was raised on ACL.

Years ago, early 70's every band that played ACL would play for about 50 minutes. None of this two band an hour thing. And when they played they would pick and intro song so that everyone in the band got to showcase their talents. I guarantee you that is why George did it. I am sure he was raised on ACL.
