Brings Best childhood memories.. Just a little boy, now fifty, sitting on the picnic table In back of grandparents home with cousin Nick strumming his guitar end all of us Italians singing In English end grandma loving it with tears in her eyes!!!
I like the most that they show my kids that you can be an exelent musicians, traveling the word bring people the joy of music without walking half naked on a stage . The inspierd my kids to learn and study on their instruments and singing harmonys together ( And yes Thankyou for being a good example to them) love from the Netherlands!
@@andronikostheophilos Yes...the Petersens are just so amazingly talented! They blow away the music coming out of Nashville! This song is also amazing! ua-cam.com/video/8bPlRzEWY_E/v-deo.html
Hello, how are you? My name is Sergio Mora. I am from Costa Rica, the southern border with Panama, in December I was very sick with covid-19 and its music and it inspired me to continue living. Thank you very much for everything I have seen many Videos of your group and it is very nice I like your music I like the group and keep going I congratulate you, total thanks
I’m in Paris, France and was just heading out the door to see the sights when I noticed this new post. I immediately opened up my iPad and sat down to enjoy it. Us Petersens fans have our priorities straight.
I was a hard core country music fan for decades starting in the 80s as a teenager. About 12 years ago I practically stopped listening to country music because so much of it just isn’t recognizable anymore. Then a couple of years ago I discovered the Petersons and fell in love with REAL country music again. I’m thankful I can go outside of FM radio to find good music these days.
Beloved girls, beloved boys: You're a bright and steady light in any darkness! A light that makes people smile. That's a real gift. And you give it away again and again!
Danny Flowers wrote Tulsa Time while on tour with the late Don Williams. They were staying at a hotel in Tulsa and Danny wrote the song during a snowstorm. Danny is a gifted musician and songwriter.
Just great! So I was recently on vacation in Spain, and I went to get my hair cut at a mall on the outskirts of Madrid. After some small talk, the barber asks me (since I’m from the US) “do I know the Peterson’s?” I was floored…told him I’m a fan. Man it’s a small world.
I think the Peterson’s could become internationally known. Trio Mandili, three gals from Georgia (country), have done it. They have over 1 M subscribers from all over the world. They sing in their own language which most listeners do not understand. Peterson gals are just as charming and they have a great rhythm section.
I've said many times on other videos how much I love Julianne and her voice, but this time I have to get on the "Get it Mama" train. She is the driving force in the back beat of this group and she does such a great job and sounds so good.
If you had told me that it was actually played live, I would not have believed it. Sung and played so perfectly. You really don't want to single out any of them because they are all perfect in their place. That is perhaps the secret of the Petersens. But- one should also mention the great microphone company Ear Trumpet Labs (I'm not paid, just a big fan) whose mics are a fantastic match for this wonderful group. The way they reproduce vocals from all sides and the instruments is truly phenomenal. I think it's great that the Petersens show here how "bluesy" they can be.
Oh, my! That was great! Three part sister harmony! Emmet's dobro playing other-worldly! Even with my eyes closed, I could tell which sister was singing, they each are very distinctive! Yee hah!!
Wow, a great Don Williams song done by the wonderful Petersens in a manner that would have made him proud. The awesome singing by the girls (Ellen, Julianne, and Katie) knocks it out of the park, with stellar support by the band. It just doesn't get better than The Petersens!
It's great to see the three girls sing back to back to back. You can get a feel for the uniqueness each brings. Amazingly talented. The son has a great voice too. What is really cool is when one is doing a solo, they all look so proud. That's love.
This is top-notch again, The Petersens know how to make music that pleases. Also, Emmett with the Dobro is incredible. Each of the girls have a unique voice, but when I heard Julianne it was there again, the goose skin. There is something very special about her voice, something distinctive, well anyway, I like it excellently. Thank you to all the family and to Emmett Franz, may God protect you all and bring you through the dark times.
Had to google who is the mandolin player and sure enough, Julianne. I have the same reaction when I hear her singing voice. It's like quartz. Hard yet brittle, often fractures in a beautiful way.
I listen to you from Polish, I don't even know English well, but I am fascinated by you. Especially the voice of the lady in the red dress. Greetings from Poland
As a musician who appreciates stunning harmonies and impeccable instrumentalists The Peterson are nothing less than an incredibly talented musical family. Oh ya, PLEASE , persuade Emmett to become a permanent part of your awesome sound. I tell you that man is a joy to watch and listen to. Dobro excellence.
Listening to The Petersens cover Tulsa Time is like eating the finest piece of chocolate. You want that sweetness to linger on your tastebuds as long as possible. Thank you Petersens!!!!
I love y'all. As a 60 year old widower in west Michigan? Social Distortion, Rock Blues my thing. You're honesty in music refreshes my soul. God bless. ❤🙏
Whew boy. I spent about 30 years in the music ministry in the Tulsa area and this was one of my favorite songs because of my love for that area of Oklahoma. Thanks Petersens for such a great rendition of this song. You guys just keep on blessing.
Wow!! That was enjoyable especially after a very difficult week. Thank you Petersens. Thank you again for using the gifts you received from the Lord to brighten our lives.
Each sister has their own unique voice, which is great, and together they are dynamite! I've listened to Don Williams sing this song of his which was good, but these girls make the song a whole lot better...
Posting for the 3rd time in this great video. Back in the day I used to take ballroom dance lessons at a studio called Ballroom Magic. And I'm realizing, this would be a prime song for a dance called the West Coast Swing, which is an earthy gettin' down style of dance, matching the style of this song.
Get. This. Song. On. Country. Radio. NOW!!!! This is your best cover yet. I was totally rocking out in my seat listening to this one! you guys sound better than ever!!
Let's just hope that from where he is now Don Williams can listen to this and watch the Bluegrass fairies trio taking turns to sing his song - needless to mention the whole group effort for the signature rythm and solo arrangements. Masterful cover of a classic ! Taste and musical skills combined. Unless I am mistaken all the greats are cut in that material. Keep up the amazing work ! There is still hope in this world when you hear this.
This song is a perfect example of harmony being a mixture of different sounds to make a single sound better than the individuals. Such different beautiful voices, but together it doesn't get any better!
My goodness that BASS! All of y'all did a great job, but I have to give Mama a hand for that smoking bass! It would have been so easy to alternate fifths but took it several levels UP!
Incredible! Every week everything is getting more and more perfect. The three girls who sing individually and in chorus with great professionalism and who instill enormous joy to hear them. Emmet's Dobro always at the top. Matt and Mamma who hold the rhythmic base with great synchrony. You are more and more a band of international level. My sincere congratulations! 👍👍👍
*LYRICS - Tulsa Time*
------------
I left Oklahoma, drivin' in a Pontiac
Just about to lose my mind
I was goin'-a Arizona
Maybe on to California
Where the people all live so fine
My baby called me crazy
My mama called me lazy
I was gonna show 'em all this time
'Cause you know I ain't no fool
No, I don't need no more school
I was born to just walk the line
Livin' on Tulsa time
Livin' on Tulsa time
Well, you know I've been through it
Gonna set my watch back to it
Livin' on Tulsa time
Well, there I was in Hollywood
Wishin' I was doin' good
Talkin' on the telephone line
They don't need me in the movies
And nobody sings my songs
I guess I'm just wastin' time
An' then I got to thinkin'
Man, I'm really sinkin'
I've really had a flash this time
I had no business leavin'
And nobody would be grievin'
If I went on back to Tulsa time
Livin' on Tulsa time
Livin' on Tulsa time
Gonna set my watch back to it
'Cause you know I've been through it
Livin' on Tulsa time
Livin' on Tulsa time
Livin' on Tulsa time
Well, you know I've been through it
Gonna set my watch back to it
Livin' on Tulsa time
Livin' on Tulsa time
Livin' on Tulsa time
Well, you know I've been through it
When I set my watch back to it
Livin' on Tulsa time

Ok, stop. The overload of talent and beauty in this family just isn't fair to all the other musicians. Seriously, they are absolutely remarkable.
Yes, they really are making other artists look lame. They are doing it with pure acoustic instruments.
I like the most that they show my kids that you can be an exelent musicians, traveling the word bring people the joy of music without walking half naked on a stage . Mama must sure be proud of what she created; an amazing beautiful family!
I like Mamas smiling as Julianne sung 'Mama told me lazy'.
I noticed that too!
Just watching the little looks and smiles they all give each other right the way through the song
Yeah, I noticed both big sisters grinning at each other when Julianne started singing. She's taking some big steps right now.

3 very unique and powerful voices blending together wonderfully. Stand back gentlemen, the ladies got this one.
Yes, I agree the two gentlemen and Mrs Petersen are awesome, but on this one the three sisters got it all wrapped up, love it, thanks everyone.
