In this video, I countdown the Top 10 Most Expensive LEGO Sets as of 2020 - this includes popular LEGO themes such as:
LEGO Ninjago Sets
LEGO Star Wars Sets
LEGO City Sets
LEGO Creator Sets
AND MORE!
Even some LEGO 2020 Sets and LEGO 2019 Sets cost a lot of money (as of February 2020). Would a LEGO Set that costs $1000+ be a smart financial decision? Perhaps a financial investment ... that's some crazy personal finance ... these LEGO sets are only for the rich and wealthy toy investors 😂 LEGO and online ecommerce is crazy!

Bro, I loved this video, but how did the Batman Tumbler from 2014 not make the list? I'm truly curious. I have one, still sealed in box, so my curiosity is quite strong. Lmk. Thanx
a whole minute and a half commercial. that's unfair to us premium users. fix that, its greed

Imagine paying 2000 dollars on a set, opening up the bags and just building something else with the pieces.
That also goes with normal sets as well
I'd imagine someone doesn't know what it is, opens it (people having a thing for opening closed packages), just to see what is inside.
Wait is a Lego NINJAGO samurai X caveWorth alot?
Depreciation on the value NOOOOOO
that's what you SHOULD do- it's what Lego is for
A year from now the Most Expensive set will be the 2006 rescue helicopter
Felipe Sanches it’s spiked in price on eBay recently
Hmmmm..... Wonder why
I used to have it but sold it on kijiji (Canadien version of eBay) about 3 years ago for like 30$.

Blows my mind. I had that castle set when I was a kid. The idea it's worth $2,000 unopened is insane.
Dame here lol
I had that as well
I have the space train one...
ditto
Same, I had that castle plus the Black Monarch’s one. They were awesome.

Yeah me too

I normally actually wait for ads to see if they're actually good enough or worthwile. It was audible, but at least he actually talked about audible Lego sets. So you know, the ad actually made sense with the video.
Ay you gotta support our boy
I had "The King's Castle" set when I was a kid! I got it for Christmas when I was six. We were poor trailer trash when I was growing up, but I could always count on mom to convince dad that his kids Christmas experience was more important than weed. I was over the moon for that set, as it was the first big Lego set I'd ever had. Obviously, I still have fond memories to this day.
that’s sad that your dad valued weed over his kids :(
I just realized I had the milliniem falcon when I was a kid and me and my family built together but It had 1 missing piece so when we moved we just gave it to our friends
LEGO 6080. Kings castle... Christmas 1985, I was a little kid, and this was was the best day of my life I can still remember the surprise of getting this set and I’ve still got it!
Whiskey Shred me too, with the box and instructions.
Call me sensitive, but I also got this one as a kid and seeing it again almost made me cry
You were obviously one of those weird kids that looks after their toys 😂 I only have the green base.. I'm not bitter 😁😭😭
played with it so much
Never was into Castle Lego but a lot of my friends got that one. Even if I had it it would be in pieces, box long gone!
The "Most Valuable" should he based on actual sold price instead of asking price.
Then the falcon right?
Way too true
I just put an Emerald Night for sale on Ebay for $343,745. BOOOM!
This is the most important thing people forget when they’re “valuing” things. What they’re listed for is irrelevant.
The 2007 Falcon has been sold on Amazon for 17k a few years ago, in my opinion that is the most expensive set
I had #9 as a kid. I still think it's the best castle Lego ever had, so I'm not entirely surprised. I spent days just designing bigger and better castles (we also had the smaller black falcon castle from the same period, so we threw them together).
But honestly, just sitting on it as an unopened collector's item just seems wrong. That set needs to be played with.
It’s strange, my local lego store ( not a licensed lego store ) believe they can get $6,500 for that UCS Millenium Falcon, BNIB and the box looks like it was run over by a mod of kangaroos
I didn’t even know about the number one set

Asking prices aren’t the same as sell prices.
Especially when the asking prices you're quoting come off of eBay. Most of those "interested" watchers are most likely just people watching it because they want to quickly show people: "Look how much this guy is asking for an incomplete Lego set!"
Yes the video is quite inaccurate, I saw that on bricklink the original Yellow castle unopened gets sold for between 500-700 US dollars
Exactly. I wanted to get set 6096 (Black Knights Castle). On E-bay it goes for over $600.00. I was just patient and waited until I saw an E-Bay listing for $180. Ended up getting it for $240.00.
I was just about to comment this, and seeing as how I'm just now watching this video over a year later made me realize that someone else must have pointed it out already. I never go by "buy it now" prices on eBay. I could list anything and put a buy it now for $20,000 but that doesn't mean anything.
When you said “I have a sponsor” I thought you where going to say raid shadow legends
The chance of me winning the giveaway are like 0.2%
So true xD
Never tell me the odds!

Still amazes me how old Lego is and how popular it still is. Quite amazing
Mom: "I'm not giving you any toys, you never open them."
Me: "How do you think I am going to pay for college mom?"
i think when a set costs that much id probably just buy the instructions and the parts separately seeing as each individual part doesn't quite cost $12.58 (as it would with the 2012 piper airplane)
imagine having a lego Set of a car in your childhood that you could now sell and buy a real one🤣
“Hey guys! What’s going on spitbrix here back for another video”
Been waiting to hear that!
Mansoor Alhosani Me tooo
what's going on guys spitbirkz back for a lego ninjago video
We had the castle at #9 growing up, remember building it and playing with it really clearly. I remember the little flag pieces and the fact the castle opens up. I think when my mum gave all our Lego away when we became adults it would have been very unlikely we'd have been able to locate all the pieces but we would've still had the instructions, albeit with a few torn pages. Going to tell my brother we grew up with a $2000 Lego set
Seeing the millennium falcon on there really gave vibes of when I had one, built it, didn’t come with an integral piece and never could finish
customer service would have sent it for free
@@MJKToys I had two sets that were missing a piece each. The second time around, I got a free Ferrari minifigure as compensation, and I was happy the set had been missing a piece because of it.
I can't stop watching these videos! The nostalgia is real!
Regarding the Statue of Liberty box being horizontal rather than vertical, i think it's really only like that simply for shelf space and no other reason.
the castle, we had as a kid and played with it for hours. Painful to see its that expensive now...
It's not expensive. You can get it for around $200 in almost new condition. The price they are quoting is sealed in the box.
But the enjoyment you got from playing with it and the happy memories you have of playing with it are priceless. And that my friend is far more valuable 👍

Wow! It’s actually really interesting to see which sets become expensive over time. I honestly didn’t even know that half of these sets existed. Great video, I learned some cool facts.
If I had the money, why wouldn’t I spend big bucks on LEGO? LEGO is so cool and I could also think of the purchases as investments.
Very interesting information! Thanks for your work!
0:48 Looks like it came strait from Stalingrad tractor plant

10:50 - People watching on eBay can also be others that own the set seeing how long it takes to sell and for how much.
I know this because I have done it.
7:18 Wow, 3 years ago, this set, for a (I assume used condition) set, costed $2,500?! Because NOW, 3 years later, it goes for 4 times that price for even a USED COPY, about $10,000!
0:39 hehe, I actually got this set as a present on my birthday in 2003 or 2004 :3 And I still have it, only missing a few tiny pieces.
Is it the Lego Star Wars set if so you’re lucky I wish I had it I have the new one
@@n1njahawkssecondchannel84 yep, it's a big Blockade Runner from Star Wars :3
I would've expected more older sets or licensed sets on this list. Very interesting.
TheFlashPoint85 that was literally the list, several Star Wars and several retro. Just 2 or 3 new
Well, I’ve already spent 800 on the Millennium Falcon and just bought the Daily Bugle, Hedwig, and Mos Eisle, so I’m pretty sure I’d spend at least 1000 on one set. The Star Destroyer is next for me. There goes my backlog!
The King’s Castle and the related sets were great. Almost every building set had a peg that could connect it with a hole in an adjacent building set. There was a blacksmiths shop set, it came with a black sword. Literally the only old-style black Lego sword I have ever seen.
I've got two sets on this list, the Millennium Falcon, and the modular house. I also own Cafe Corner, the Eiffel Tower, and the Carousel. I didn't keep them in their boxes though, as I bought them for their intended purpose which is to build them. I simply cannot imagine spending so much money on something when the moment you open it, you've immediately lost most of its value. It would be much cheaper to buy the individual bricks and build it from there.
I've got that castle built up. Kids are playing with it. They've inherited my old Lego sets.
King's Castle and the Lego Knights sets made my childhood. Damn. I would drop my entire savings just to get the entire series.
We did some work at Lego Land, they made us some half human size construction workers. They were in reception for years, I'd imagine they do it for a lot of big contractors. They were ridiculously heavy, not something you want to be walking into by mistake.
I had the space themed train set when I was a kid. I got so many hours of entertainment out of it.
Lego hasn’t done a castle in a long time. They should do something like that again
I saw a medieval themed 3in1 Set, which had a classic castle feel. so I hope they do more medieval sets in late 2021 and 2022
I like the piper airplane. And I'm a plane lover myself btw!
Great video as always! :D
4:26 Jesus, that’s only $100 more than my iPhone 😂
That Millennium Falcon, ooooooh that looks so cool
My childhood would be blown away by how cool it is
Best youtuber I love your vids
Great channel and thanks for the inspiration
Very cool vid. I had #9 back in the day. I got mine around 1988-89 so lego sold that set for a long time. It’s crazy how much lego has blown up since my childhood. When I was a kid I had to build my own versions of the Star Wars vehicles. I actually built a Batwing for the Batman movie in 1989 and won second place in a build contest at a department store in my town.
I was so pissed when the LEGO set that the ninjago set from the thumbnail wasn’t shown
Im not cuz i have it and my friend broke it i would be pissed if it was like 3000 rn
Imagine if SpitBrix did a Spitta minifigure giveaway😱😱! Love the vids
Dude he just did
I had set number 9 (Lego Castle) when I was younger. Good times. 👍
I knew the 6399 would be present. All monorail sets are quite expensive but this one was the one with a custom cover for the electric motor. A yellow monorail was planned but never came into light... it would have had yellow cover for the motor and new interesting tracks such as an 'X' shaped track and a real 'Y' shapped one.
I would love to own that castle. Amazing....
I still find Temple of Airjitzu in stores for regular retail, so it being in the thumbnail is throwing me off 😂
Oh man, I have the kings castle, not sealed but with instructions.
I bought a box of mixed Lego and it was part of the box along with some other castle and classic space bits.
Not bad for £40.
i didn't know about that lego house set for 2019. very nice. i might modify it for my collection as a modular.
What about used but still a complete set?
Yes same qeustion here !!
Much less expensive.
Temple of airjitzu is amazing!
Probably the most valuable set from ninjago
Definitely the best Ninjago set along with Ninjago city
I got it just because I could. Four years later it's so dusty and I barely look at it but it's a great set.
I wanted that Death Star so, so bad as a kid. I used to look at it from time to time on LEGO's homepage, it was available for a wierdly long time too. I still want it, but I wich they'd release a new Death Star modelled like a display piece.
This is crazy. I have the M. Falcon unsealed and in good condition. The Eff. Tower of France & Cafe corner, the first modular building but I couldn't get Market Street.
I’m not hating just thought I was gonna see like a 20 or 30k price tag for a lego set. 4K IMO isn’t to far out of the ballpark for REAL collectors. I would’ve expected something more expensive.
Try finding sealed sets from the 70's and before that (effectively) never come up for sale. This guy was looking up popular sets that happened to be on eBay the day of recording.
My grandfather and grandmother have the Lego castle set but unfortunately it was all broken😥 but then I build it again and now it is complete😁. I was very lucky that I found all pieces
Has it got the mini figs?

I particularly like the market street set, mostly just for the picture you used! 😜😜😜
When you complain about buying a set for 15$...
The funny thing is, since I was 5 years old, I have asked for the Death Star 2 for christmas, unaware that it I worth $2000+... Imagine if I had actually got it... Lol
The thing is, you would have opened it and played with it, making it loose value. Crazy init
My grandparents have that castle set from when my dad was a kid, but its already build, and taken apart again.
Definately the train set 6399, i had the og monorail as a kid i love those train tracks!

Wow I had almost forgot about the King's Castle. I had that one when I was a child! memories!
Great vid! ;)
Huh, I actually own number 9 and some of the instructions, though it’s not built, probably has some pieces missing and has definitely had it’s fair share of use. It actually used to belong to my mother and her brother when they where kids, and was passed down to me and my siblings when we where younger.
The more you know I guess!
4:43
Ah yes, $1,900
Small price to pay for box
11:18 ackchyually, the most valuable set is 'Ole Kirks House', based on the house legos founder Ole Kirk grew up in. its worth over 16k
3:21, recently I got my uncles Lego and I am really happy to see some old space and town Lego in there. I am pretty sure this set was in there with the Lego. I think it is but I don’t really know. But once it is out the box the value drops a lot.

Omg I was obsessed with LEGO as a kid (and now am again) and I had both the King's Castle and the Airport Shuttle sets. My mom gave all the sets away when I went off to college.
