Loved the way you improvised with the string bulbs 💡
Definitely gonna do exactly what you did. Thanks for the idea.

Thanks for watching and the comment. I used these stakes for the bulbs in the yard… www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B07Y2FS481/ref=ya_aw_od_pi?ie=UTF8&psc=1

GREAT JOB. I love the what you did, you really put in some work and it turned out awesome. I say that because I put in more, and I recognize what you went through. a little food for thought... I got the idea from another UA-camr to install cable hiding tracks, painted (tracks and lights) to match house color and ran the permanent lights in that, hiding the unsightly wires. Im curious what length of the string lights you used on the trees. that was a great idea. also, the hanging lights on the yard stakes was totally genius. I had 2 curtains over the porch and 1 curtain over a window on other side of the porch and got sick of them blowing all over so I took a 4' scrap 2x4 and ripped a few 1/4" pieces and stapled the bottom to the those, worked perfect and super lightweight. as far as the top, I stapled them to a 1/3 and hanged it on hooks to easily remove and store. FYI, im incorporating your idea with the trees next year. LOVE IT!!

Thanks for the encouragement and ideas. I wondered about some sort of track to hide the wires. That’s a good idea. I will look into that in the summer when it’s warmer! 😀 The tree lights are 66’ long. It took me a couple times to get the spacing to turn out the way I wanted. For the taller tree it required the entire string. For the two smaller trees next to each other, I just used one 66’ string and stretched it across the small gap to cover both trees. The hanging lights on the yard stakes was the easiest to install, and I think the cheapest of the govee lights that I got. They’ll be a good addition. I’m pretty sure my setup will grow next year. 😀 Good work on the curtain lights. Getting them not to blow in the wind is a challenge for sure. Hope you had a merry Christmas, and enjoy the lights all year long in every season! Blessings! If you use the tape to stick your outdoor strip lights to your garage do they have to stay permanently? If so what could I use to put the strip lights around my garage to where I could take them off and put them back on for next season

I did use the tape, and they will have to stay up. But you raise a good point. I bet you could use the velcro-like command strips every couple feet to make them be able to be taken down each year. Look into the command strip brand reusable strips.

That’s actually a very good idea, thank you! I just ordered the lights for next year

Happy to help. I think I’ll do the command strips as well if I take the strip lights off the garage frame!! I think you’ll enjoy the lights. Happy New Year!
