    Wonderful addition to the overall views. I've said it before, God has certainly blessed you and yours. It's plain to see that you love God's nature.

      Indeed He has. For his invisible attributes, namely his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived since the beginning of creation, in the things that have been made. I think about Romans 1 and Psalm 8 often when I experience awe in nature. I see my smallness in the majesty if creation and am reminded how much God cares for me. Praise God!

      Being on or near water has that effect on me. I lose all track of time. The sound is soothing and I’m fortunate to sit in these surroundings and just be grateful for all I’ve been blessed with. This is my happy place.

      Thanks friend! Looking forward to seeing how this impacts fish behavior and where they congregate in the pond. Already they’re hanging in the 2’ shallows in current.

    Great looking pond ide add sand or pea gravel in the pond where the water comes into the pond

      Thanks for watching. I agree with you on the rock. I was planning adding some more river rock size stones here. Help me understand the smaller pea gravel size for that area. We have three other pea gravel beds in the pond for bluegill spawning. I was going for a little larger rock at the mouth of the falls. This is what we originally laid in that spot back a year and a half ago before we started fighting a leak. Finally got the water level consistent to turn the falls on. I have some more work to do at the base of the falls with more rock work. Open to ideas. Here’s the video of the initial layer of 4-7” rock. Unfortunately, some of this area got eroded over with some clay that washed in from the bank before the water filled all the way up.

      @@newnatureadventures OK so From a fisheries standpoint walleye like to spawn in current and also the eggs need a clean unsilted area and it's easier to place sand down that the slow flow will have better success keeping clean think of it like a gold sluce larger Rocks = larger spaces for the eggs to fall into likely killing them u can also add in some larger rocks on the sand to mimic a natural stream bed where it dumps into a pond also u can add some large logs over the rocks like a bridge fish feel safer under log jams in clear water , also on a side note if u can aquire a plastic pallet u can ziptie some empty 2ltr bottles under it and then place landscape fabrics on top and a thin layer of sand for a more natural look u can then anchor this out they make great shade for bass to hide under and use as an ambush spot u can even add fake or real fish attractors like Christmas 🎄 hung from the corners or pvc drilled with smaller pex line

      This has a little of that process for you to visualize. I’m assuming you’re talking about the intake area. I have raw footage that I could make a dedicated video of just the intake bay. The pump is the Aquascapes Weg 21300 EXT 3HP, 3 phase 230v. The VFD is Weg CFW500-N4X/IP66 model CFW500A10P0B2DB66DSG2

      @kylewalling5432 We didn’t get it through a site. Our Aquascapes builder sourced it for us. I think the 18000 EXT is available online, but the larger 21300 EXT just came out, and was exclusively available through our Aquascape builder Greg Gill with Eastern Iowa Landscapes. Here is a link to a site online for the 18000 size. aquascape-usa.com/products/aquascape-external-pond-pumps?variant=44600309252377¤cy=USD&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjw0MexBhD3ARIsAEI3WHKRbA75DICtCisJ3xWcLTZqZq1zw-DmcDB3E02JYoO3WgCD3pSbTPoaAv6AEALw_wcB

    • @newnatureadventures

      What did the whole waterfall cost you?

    • @newnatureadventures
      @newnatureadventures  2 місяці тому

      @brodycampbell2990 Wow, we’ll have to do some math. Stopped keeping track…cause it’s sad to think about. Focusing on the benefits and enjoyment instead. It started out in the neighborhood of 60-70k. 100+ tons of boulders, 10 solid days of design and dirt work and heavy lifting for the intake bay and waterfall, HDPE liner and protective fabric, pump and plumbing. Then we expanded the project to include patio and trees and landscaping that we aren’t done with. Isolating just the waterfall from the rest of the patio and landscaping…it’s in the $70k range.

      @@newnatureadventures oh wow!!! That’s very impressive

    • @newnatureadventures
      @newnatureadventures  2 місяці тому

      @chrismelton6117 haven’t confirmed this with actual data yet, but it he pump draws 7amps at 230v full speed. If we ran it 24/7 at full speed, that would require ~1600w. This will probably equate to $35-40 per month to run in electricity. This is basically the same as our Airmax diffused aeration system. With the VFD, we can turn the speed down and reduce that number to probably $25-30 per month. Ballpark figure.
