Works well with competitive online shooters too but like some have said. A lot depends on your location and if you're near a server from Nvidia and your ISP.

Looking at the details it's only for games that can be played with a controller. So no keyboard and mouse input. Basically all the games that can only be played on PC. Why would anyone want a sub-console experience instead of just getting a console?
you can use mouse and keyboard if you play through a computer, or you can connect a bluetooth keyboard to your TV or your Android device (Apple doesn't allow mouse and keyboard, since they were being weird about cloud gaming services)
You just download the app or software depends if your using tablet, phone or a computer or even a smart tv. Then you have to connect your steam account or any other service they provide like Epic Games. You need to own games on those platforms to able to play. And that's if those games are on the list of the playable games on Geforce now. If you don't own any games you have the option to start a subscription to Xbox PC Game Pass they have a vast collection you can play on Geforce now . Hope that helps.

No, not really. You can play the games you already own on Steam, GOG, etc. using this service. This has also been out for years before Stadia was a thing. Stadia tried to take this idea and charge you to buy the game again on their service.
They never tell the full info, basically you will loose your saves, many steam game doesn't sync properly and you can't continue the game local, epic is worse many games just don't load saves and doesn't sync at all. look by youself on the forum of nvdia so many complains. so if you use just play there and don't get your saves back to play local or any other computer.
You are thinking of Stadia who tried to take this idea and monetize by making you buy the same games you already own. Geforce Now allows you to play the games you already own on pretty much any device.
