This all makes sense, but I'm in a tough situation that seems like both fear and anxiety. My son needs a kidney and we've been waiting and waiting. We never know if the next doc appointment will be the one where they say he needs dialysis because he doesn't have a donor yet. It's a lot to handle and it has been a 20-year journey. We trust that God knows best and has His hands on Jared, but sometimes my body forgets that and reacts negatively with anxious feelings/thoughts.

I suffer from health anxiety, so when I have a symptom I always think it's cancer. So I don't know if this should be classified as fear or anxiety. It's true that I dont have a diagnosis yet, but the symptom is there (dinosaur). What do you think?
How do you cope with loss of one of your body senses?
Any perspectives re: chronic illnesses? I have type 1 diabetes & insulin is my life support but can also kill me. Blood sugar highs & lows (especially lows in short time) will kill me… this is an immediate bodily threat. I end up with both fear & anxiety 😬 How can we manage if & when these fears are real?…
Hi: so sorry to hear you are ill and I do understand the worry. But the tools are the same - if there is something you can do to take care of a worry (I call that productive worry), you take those steps. If there is nothing you can do, it is anxiety. Physiological calming techniques are very helpful for people with chronic illnesses. I hope that is helpful

This is completely off-topic and sounds odd, but I swear I met you in Colorado while I was snowboarding. You were limping in a cast. Does this sound at all familiar?
Lol! Let’s see - I was once in an arm cast at a ski resort in Utah (an obscure mountain, not one of the well known ones) probably 15 years ago and then I was in a shoulder sling in Montana and Jackson Hole in 2022… those are my two winter resort injuries!
