Mulching 1,000 Trees At The Racetrack 🪓

- Thanks for checking out today's video! We use a John Deere 333G with a Fecon Bull Hog attachment also know as a "forestry mulcher".
Forestry mulching is actually a very good way to take care of downed and damaged trees/shrubbery on your property.
"There's only one machine involved, which limits soil damage, and the process leaves behind a layer of mulch to nourish the soil and create a healthy environment for insects and small creatures."
While that's being done, we make some major improvement to the parking/put/paddock area with a home-made "drag" and our Kawasaki Mule 1000, as well as recycle around another 65 tires that were previously dumped on the property.

Thanks for watching today's video! The sad reality, is that those trees were all doomed to ride a slow death to the earth. Using a forestry mulcher was a massive labor saver, and really improved things around the track overall. The pit/paddock area is also WAY better. More to come!
Skidsteer and ruckus rake would fix that area in no time. Then put the pile of the leftovers to somewhere where is shadow and moist, maybe a shallow pit or ditch to keep it moist. In a year or two you will have a pile of absolute top quality soil. Dont put the pile to anywhere where is dry and sunny, because then it can take multiple years before the pile turns to soil.
@deadslow201 100 correct...knives would have chopped things up some more, and the ruckus rake to pile it all up and bury or burn
I now daily a low miles 2017 4DR Fiesta SE DCT, in blue candy metallic. ....turbo? ....maybe? 😄😉.... you gonna build a rallycross course, or? 😉 ...I could drive up there in it, in less than half a day.

I’ve watched way to many videos on land clearing and these mulches. The one that guy used had a lot less blades than a lot I’ve seen.
May have contributed to the big chunks you saw after he was done.

Food for thought, might be worth grabbing a landscape rake for your tractor to clean that mess. A dethatcher might work but they're much lighter duty.
Great piece of equipment, never seen it. Perhaps because it needs a safety radius that barely exists in my area, anywhere.

Agreed. There's matting under all of it, so unfortunately it's better to go slow and not rip it all up.
