In today's video, we demonstrate just how much water this $399.00 - 290gpm Harbor Freight Water pump can move over time.
This is not a sponsored video. Just used this pump to dewater the clay karting track over many weeks with 3" suction and discharge hoses.

Aaaaaaaand we're back! As usual, there's a lot to be done at the track. We are getting closer to working on the Karting track that's LONG been under water.
That little pump put in some work.
Do winter rallycross.....I want to drive my 2017 Ford Fiesta there....
Man, that place looks great! If I weren't 1,500 miles away, I'd be at every event. That area is lucky to have someone as dedicated and skilled as you.
Stubborn maybe, I don't know about skilled 🤣
There's no way I could have done all of this alone. It has taken a ton of help from a lot of people.
Am 500 miles away. And I still think is too far. Maybe one day I could make a weekend trip out of it
Don't forget about Lawn mower racing.. Great fun for kids and adults!
No way have the kart run the way they used to. I raced that dirt track it was a blast . Glad to see it coming alive . Hope you have the outlaw mini mods there . Or the Jr clases for springs and flat kart and flat kart for sportsman class for adults.and kid clases for 5 yr olds the way it was back 2009 or 2010 .
I've been watching since you bought the track. The amount of work you've been able to put into it is amazing. Gotta get that cart track up and running so you can get that young'un behind the wheel!
my basement flooded back in 2013 & I was able to find a cheap pump from a place like harbour freight AND IT SAVED MY FOUNDATION!
I also pumped out my neighbors basement. the pump & accessories are still in the garage to this day just waiting for another flood.
BEST $400 I'VE EVER SPENT ON A PUMP WHEN I REALLY NEEDED IT IMO!
That's outstanding. I'm honestly impressed at how much water this sucker moves. It would empty a basement quick 🤘
Be cool to see a full karting program return. Get the new generation out there having fun.
So cool to see the mystery finds under all that water.
I was surprised to see what was down there.
Place is looking awesome, wish I wasn't 800 miles away or I'd be offering a helping hand. That little pump from HF did one hell of a job.
love that it was drained fully
Dude you have come so far, amazing! Freaking proud of you man!
I remember the first ever video of you buying and going to the racetrack! The progress is unreal!
It's pretty crazy looking back at how it all started. We have the Town behind us, and even better coverage going into next season. I feel very grateful to be at this point.
I swear i just want to seet every race track complete since the first video
great job getting that clay track back from the depths....love what you have done with the track so far.
Pumping out the water is just the beginning! It's going to be a heck of a project 🫣
Yes I know it's got a long way to go to get the surface ready again....@@Greenlightfilming
So excited to see the clay coming to life.
It's getting there, slowly but surely. We need time and sunny days to get farther along.
Been awhile since I’ve stopped by the channel. You sure have done a great job with this property 👍👍
Thank you sir, welcome back 🤘
Great to see the Clay track being exposed. Hope your able to keep the water controlled going forward. 👍
I have been watching since the first few episodes. I didn't think I'd be seeing the bottom of that pond but you did it! Can't wait to see what you will be able to do with that track, if anything hopefully... unfortunately I'm sure we will have to wait until next year for warmer weather 😂
It's going to be a while before we can start resurfacing the track. The clay is hyper-saturated and would be a horrible idea to even try and put equipment on it. It would be buried instantly.
I'm here for it! I'm been waiting for this dirt track work this whole time. Such a huge fan of the channel. Loving these updates. Which you nothing but the most success my man!! I hope the drainage issue on this track can be properly addressed without too much of an initial investment.
The Ole Track is coming to Life Mr Greenlight!! Such A Big difference since the first day!! 💯🇺🇸🤘🔥
Great to see the track 2 again after being a pond lol can't wait to see karts on it !
Glad to see it coming along!!
Me too 🤘
So happy to see the life get brought back into the dirt track. I grew up racing there as a kid, now I’m racing Midwest Modifieds. Depending on what kind of karts you plan on racing I would definitely buy a kart and relive my childhood! So cool!
You aren't the only one to mention picking up a kart again. Thanks for the photos on the Facebook page! They were great.
Clay kart racing is one my favorite types of racing to watch, I hope you get it up and running. Then video the races, I’ll watch for sure!
We are aiming to have that track functional next year. We are right next to winter time right now, and the clay is hyper saturated which makes doing anything with it impossible.
You'll see videos of racing on it when we get to that point!
Dude that's awesome I remember one of the 1st videos where you had just bought the property!!
Hard work has shown, and you're getting things done!
Nothing no better for a family friendly environment of motor sports, and motor sports racing, its just a good clean form of entertainment great job!!🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁
I'm really liking the progress !!!
Thanks Dave 🤘
The clay track would be an awesome area to run some RC's. It's getting harder to find good venues for 1/10 dirt oval and outdoor offroad. Maybe get some lap counting equipment and run dirt oval with 1/10 and 1/8 offroad in the infield utilizing some of the oval as part of the offroad track. 3" drainage pipe is easy to come by move around too.
Glad i've been here since the first episode, the progress is awesome. If i wasn't in the UK i woulda been there haha
Ha, that's a little far to just swing by. Thank you for the support abroad!
BRAVO!
🙌🙌
That place is really coming together. I can’t believe the water was so deep in the karting track
cant wait to see it in use again
great to see all progress work done. gonna have visit with out racecar as repairs are out of budget.
Good you're getting out all of that water now , while it's still liquid . Once the temperatures start to plummet the ground water will become frozen and unworkable . Unfortunately when the groundwater gets cold and solid that clay will be like concrete . The one thing that will still be doable is vegetation removal . A permanent sump system would be nice but that would require piped in electricity and a large discharge pipe which costs lots of money .
So glad that it's getting closer o hope you get the word to local karters that you need help to get this track back In shape and hope that they will show up excited to next year and also looking at the third track on back and to give the kart group a choice between asphalt and dirt will make the difference to getting a club started out there again to get it back in shape and functional for holding races once again Kraig from Washington State
I agree, that with things starting to take shape there's more and more interest from the karting and lawn mower racing community. We are doing everything necessary to manage expectations, as this will be a long process to get back into shape. It's something we simply don't have unlimited resources for like may be the case in some other situations.
That being said, we will work very hard at getting this track back in usable shape next year and re-open in some capacity.
Love to see the progress
Watched the videos for some time. Never had the chance to get there, perhaps someday I will. I can only offer aplomb to your character, work, and dedication.👍
so cool to see it dried out!
Looking Better and better!!! Keep it up!!!
Thanks Doug!
This is awesome! After being out there in person. The videos don't do it justice, How nice it is out there! You're doing a great job, Brian!
Love seeing the Gingerman shirt! That's my local track.
Attended my first Gridlife there this year with Cody Smith and his Cutlass. Really cool track!
You have done a ton of work to that track since day one, wow....... Looking great❤
Thanks! It's been a giant community effort. Lots of people help behind the scenes
@@Greenlightfilming In my 57 years, I have seen many tracks. Close down and sell to developers. I find it extremely refreshing and rewarding. To see somebody opening up an old track to let it live once again.
Between your track and the Freedom Factory, it has made me want to build a racecar more than I ever have before. You and Cleetus have done so much for your racing communities and its awesome to see, but now I really need to participate. Only question is dirt track car or autocross/drag car?
Can't wait to see racing on the dirt track.
She's coming along rightly.. Fair play to you and all involved. I wish someone would do that here in Ireland. ✌🇮🇪
Been watching since the start and the place is realy coming to life amazing to see the potential and progress. Welldone 👍👍
Thanks for sticking around! It's been a long process, but we operate in realty on this channel haha. There's no major outside help coming like on other channels, but that's ok. It makes the project interesting.
Another great update.. 👍👍
Great videos! Keep up the good work. Greetings from Germany
Thanks for watching from abroad 👍👍👍
Have been watching over the years. You have done Such a wonderful job, bringing that track Back to life. Truly wish I live in your area to enjoy coming to You're track I'm looking forward to see what all you do over the next few years with your track. Thank you for keeping the racing World Open running, great.
You should paint that garage/shed the color of the dirt that's building up around the bottom, then it will always look clean :D
🤣
Clay looks good!
I'm so happy to see all the progress you have made over the last few years, it is truly inspiring. Keep it up and can't wait to see the clay track come back to life.
thanks for following along cheesenips! I really appreciate the support throughout the process.
Man this is INCREDIBLE! I’m so pumped to see this project and follow along. These type of videos are the best. Please keep us updated. Love seeing this track come back to life! Keep up the great work
love this story! keep this up! What you have done is HUGE!
I think it's great your progress and success with the track. I would love to see the go kart track back in action.
crazy to see copper creek drained, however it looks like it lost all its banking lmao
Would love to see you make it a multi use track again. Awesome job so far keep the improvements coming as you have the funding and time.
Ok I’m sold 😊
Great job on the track. Good luck with the future plans. Just an idea. Take pictures of the track sponsors and upload them to your channel for exposure.
Nice work this year.
Thank you sir 👍
Super awesome! Keep up the great work! I cant wait to see go carts ripping around!
Friggin awesome 🏁🏁🏁
🤘🤘🤘
great job
That pond would of been a great puddle jump in the hot weather. 😊
Ha, if you would have saw the size of the leeches in there you would run away like it was lava
Things are looking good! I must have missed it, but where is all of the pumped water going?
Finally!
awesome
I bet you’re sick of the sight of tyres 😂
Are there species of plants you could plant around the track to suck up the moisture from the ground?
Maybe even something native!
How about cattails 🤣.
We are going to leave them standing as long as we can so they wick out as much moisture as possible.
Great work!
So there's an asphalt oval under that gunk?
No old dirt track
@@Bearded_chris_wisconsin But the vehicles are called karts?
How did so much water get there in the first place? Will you need to have some sort of plan to keep it from getting that much water down there in the future?
You should build a drift track. Build it and they will come. Lol. Seriously tho many car ppl want to drift and have nowhere to. I was just watchin adam lz new video and was like damn so many people would pay to drift his compound if that was a thing.
I'll be doing a video on the cost of paving.
Having watched some of your early videos re this track you have done a LOT of work and clearly a lot of time and money as well.Looks a great deal better.
The dirt track? What you need is to make a drain from the lowest point to a lower point below the track,, obvious. A big sump filled with crushed rock and then a pipe or a big trench and just fill it was cruched rock, the water will find its way through. So either get a hole bored then feed 8" PVC pipe into it or just backhoe a trench 18" wide, plenty of crushed rock then fill back over. Then you will have a nice little kart dirt oval.
I doubt you will ever get rich on the place, but as a apying hobby you should do ok.
Probably the obvious. Tyre walls in front of the concrete and further away purely as a wall you can make by 'wiring' to gether the tyres through holes in the walls to hold them together. I have seen it done using 5/16 rod, and a tool made to twitch it all together. Tyres are cheap,, tyre services will give them to you, probably pay you to take them. But you need similar size tyres and bigger sizes, full size passenger or SUV 4wd tyres. And not tyres with exposed wire.
Since I am in Oz a little far to come help or even just supply tyres.
Looks like you need some tile
There's a sump basin with a pump and float. The pump and float actually still work. They maintained a certain water level on the infield because it's a resource to wet the track etc.
Do you plan on putting in a drain for the track ?
Negative. We will keep the sump basin. That allows for a water reserve at all times.
Why dont you try and race karts on the asphalt track. So much better.
Dirt track asphalt is just for getting there . Dirt is where it's at !!!!
nope asphalt is for going fast and dirt is for slow racing@@Bearded_chris_wisconsin
