But no more than 2 years! While on the exempt list their contract in terms of the time will not be frozen. Should contract end during the exemption... That player will not collect anything more beyond the end of the contract. if said player is deemed innocent... he gets the frozen salary + 33% extra (of entire salary while exempt) for damages! (Said player should be able to go after whoever in civil court for the rest of damages) if contract ended during the exemption.. the league would payout a prorated 100% salary equivalent to that players expired NFL contract + 33% (being paid 50% of your salary for not actually performing is still a good deal for the time being...
