It’s always something else to see Mac when he’s just doing his thing. I remember seeing the music video for Best Day Ever when it first dropped and just thinking to myself he is a true artist and genuine human being. Even back then my man knew how to just tap into that side of himself and express how he was feeling or what he was thinking through music. When I watch his videos these days I just really appreciate his realness. Having being a little younger than Malcom and relating to many of the same struggles he spoke of in his music. Don’t know how to explain it but his music just always seemed drop at the perfect moment where it was very impactful for me, or would relate almost disturbingly close to my own personal experiences. I will always be bumping some Mac to the day I meet the man myself 😂 Just remember that no matter how low you get Mac will always continue on within you. I’m so glad I got to see him perform at the University of Arkansas in 2013, I remember the last song he played was Aquarium and he said it was his favorite track off WMWTSO and I was glad because it was one of my favorites off the album too.. somehow I lost the ticket stub so I’m pretty upset about that but I have a picture of it and I got to see him at least once. I remember seeing the music video for Best Day Ever when it first dropped and just thinking to myself he is a true artist and genuine human being. Even back then my man knew how to just tap into that side of himself and express how he was feeling or what he was thinking through music. When I watch his videos these days I just really appreciate his realness. Having being a little younger than Malcom and relating to many of the same struggles he spoke of in his music. Don’t know how to explain it but his music just always seemed drop at the perfect moment where it was very impactful for me, or would relate almost disturbingly close to my own personal experiences.
