I love Mac’s writing. He very openly talked about feeling shameful and lost and made philosophical evaluations that leave you thinking and it’s all between a lot of vulgar innuendos and incredible instrumentals/mixes. Miss this guy’s perspective sooooo much
He was self aware. Which is why his music is so good. He knows who he is and isn’t trying to make music everyone likes, but music that portrays who he really is. It’s why he always grew as an artist and no project was really ever the same. The realest there has ever been.

@@Goddessy That's facts though, people are toxic as fuck, for the most part. But you just gotta ignore their bullshit and eventually you'll find people who connect with you. The other thing too is some people just need time for it to grow on them, perhaps they just weren't in the right mindset for your song to really hit them. I mean, I made this comment a year ago, and just about a month or so ago, we were joking around at work and put on a beat and I spit a verse that I have written from memory and everyone was kinda blown away. I'm kind of a perfectionist so it's hard for me to look at something I made and call it well-done, but it was kinda cool to look up and see people with their jaw dropped. But even then, if I made something exactly the way I wanted it to sound, then I wouldn't care if only one other person enjoyed it - I'll still feel like I accomplished something, and got some weight off of my chest. Not only does the process feel so much better without that constant stress/weight on your mind, but you end up sounding better and are more able to connect with and relate to the people you want to reach. It gives you more musical integrity, because it seems less artificial. Also, in my personal opinion, it makes you a better artist because you truly expressed yourself, rather than molding what you say to fit somebody else's definition of "good," and expressing yourself is quite literally the entire point of making music.

Respectfully I gotta disagree a little. I think Mac made music for him. Not only because he liked it, but because music was his life and his therapy. We just had the privilege of him sharing it with us. That's why his music was so honest and brought us to his soul, he's writing to himself.
@@romanbost4709 i agree completely. i was saying now, long after his death, new music being released isn’t being released to generate profits, it’s for the fans who still listen. and we still listen because of how brutal, and honest, and beautiful it all is

Mac you saved my life 10 years ago and I'm so grateful that your music has watered and grown me into the blossom i am today. I remember my heart breaking the day you passed but you are immortal and one day my kiddos are gonna know your name. I love you :(
I used to watch this exact video back in the Fall of 2021 when I first started college. Me and my buddy started smoking a bunch of weed around that time (typical college activites) and we'd get crazy stoned in his attic and come back to the computer in his room with all the LEDs on and this star projector thing on the ceiling. Those opening chords always take me back right to that spot and give me the most overwhelming nostalgia to probably the most exciting time in my life. So thanks for uploading this, I might not have discovered this song if you hadn't.
This man, is such a beautiful artist/producer. This guy has produced his OWN songs BY HIMSELF, obviously not the case with all his songs. But the fact that this guy, was drunk, possibly stoned out his mind, made a beat, AND rapped (probably) did this all in one take , AND PRODUCED THE WHOLE SONG on his own at 6AM. Like it couldnt get anymore clear than that.
His passing makes me sad. Makes me wonder... makes me realize how special this person was. Words literally cannot describe how deep and cool his flow is at the same time. This is poetry. I am 42 years old. Been listening to hip hop habitually since I was 13 and take great pride in my taste. Mac miller is timeless and is in my top 3 WITH OUT A DOUBT. RIP. only the good die young.
I feel like he's one of the best of all time but the world hasn't come to the realization. People forget that all of these "non mainstream" songs are produced by him 100%. All of his aliases were genius. Truly one of the greats.
mac is the reason i even attempt to make music...his artistry will go down for generations...he was so honest and true to himself while also being cool as fuck....thank you mac from the bottom of my heart
Used to hear this song with my old best friend. He showed me this song and he would rap EXACT like Mac same style and all. Long story short he got hooked and drugs and I tried helping and so would his mom . Now I haven’t spoke to him in YEARS. Every time I hear this song brings back strong memories of my younger days and good times with a true friend .

This song is so perfect in its imperfect Mac miller way - I can picture every lyric in my head so clearly and actually feel it. Does anyone else ever feel like Mac had a deep, yet beautiful way of connecting his raps/life experiences with others whether dark or light? His constant theme of duality really resonates, and his music was ahead of his time like even before the world got especially crazy, now we are all aware and have a higher consciousness of it. RIP Mac though your an angel, your spirit lives on 9️⃣2️⃣ till infinity, I’ll be on that 🌊 too following my dreams as a writer- music such as his inspires me and makes me want to leave my mark in this strange world too. 💯 🌌🌀♾📓☯️

1:32 “I place my hand on the stovetop to see if I’m awake” interesting lyrics when compared to Kanye’s Ghost Town’s “I put my hand on the stove, to see if I still bleed”
You can tell this was made around the time of faces. Asking questions, accepting and deep in drugs, the flows and rhyme patterns. I miss this mac. To a degree, it was liberating hearing him talk about all of the things he was struggling with in such an artistic way. These flows are my favorite
Respectfully I think he was younger. He is only like 3 years older than me & and I remember listening to this back in about 2014. So that's even more impressive, love Mac

[Intro]
Check, it's 6:26 in the morning
I just made this beat 'cause I realized that I enjoy playing the piano
Ah, you know, fuck you
No one is in the room with me right now so I'm gonna record myself
I'ma try and do this all in one take, so there's not a lot of editing
'Cause I'm too drunk to edit, and that's just the truth of the matter
Aight, let's go
[Verse]
Uh, I said raps is cold, about twenty below
I just realized I don't give a fuck any mo'
Used to look into the mirror askin', "Where will this go?"
Got big quick, kinda wish that I was takin' it slow
It takes balls to go and break from the mould, I guess I did that
I still got some dumbass fans who want K.I.D.S. back
And I forget that they twelve years old, I must accept that
Should probably stop thinkin' so much and just rap
I wish life was kinda easier to figure out
I wish it was like Ferris Bueller singin' "Twist and Shout"
I got a couple reasons that I'll stick around
But for the most part this shit is foul
I place my hand on a stovetop to see if I'm awake
I heard you takin' bath salts and eatin' people's face
Saw the people I know personally
I see they act a certain way because they workin' for me
And if you take that as a diss it means I'm talkin' to you
Know I never look down, I got knots in my shoe-strings
Made some money, went and bought me a few things
This ain't shit, I'm just doodling, haha
I'm sick of goin' to the movies and people lookin' at me
Inquire 'bout some shit that they know they shouldn't ask me
Hollywood got every girl around the world fasting
Like eatin' was a sin, when really beauty lie within
Guess I wouldn't fuck me a fat bitch
I just disagree wit'chu determining fat is
Wanna go to Israel and see if there's a God there
For now I'm 'bout to smoke some blunts and post in this lawn chair
Could've been the mayor 'cause I'm excellent with politicking
People never say what's on their minds because they on a mission
Who do you think you are?
And may God damn your soul if you forgot tradition
Locked inside a box, a prison, somewhere there I saw a vision
Met this girl with innocence and stole it while on top of linen
Rocket, word to Roger Clemens, that don't mean a thing
I'm in love with makin' melodies but scared to even sing
For you judgmental fuckheads, talkin' 'bout my life
You don't know me, and if you did, you'd say I'm nice
Everyone I see always has some cool advice
'Bout what they'd do if they were me and all the issues they would fight
You could never fathom what this shit is like
And I hope you turn your bitch to dyke
My kryptonite is me
Yeah

Everyday I miss this man and never even met him but yet feel so connected and attached to him through what he created.
Respectfully I gotta disagree a little. I think Mac made music for him. Not only because he liked it, but because music was his life and his therapy. We just had the privilege of him sharing it with us. That's why his music was so honest and brought us to his soul, he's writing to himself.
@@romanbost4709 i agree completely. i was saying now, long after his death, new music being released isn’t being released to generate profits, it’s for the fans who still listen. and we still listen because of how brutal, and honest, and beautiful it all is
There is still no talent today who can match the energy and mind set of Mac. SO unique. This world wasnt ready for Mac. Your where you deserve to be. At rest. Peace. But we sure do miss you.
KAAN is pretty damn great. He's one of a few artists of the younger generation that I think has a similar mindet as Mac
@@theherbpuffer I check him out for sure
@@jfnd1zz would be a disservice not to
Missed Every fucking day like he was my maternal brother and I never even met him. love you Malcom, miss you man.
@@loganbrown2807 bro I feel the same way. The pain just doesn't fade like other artists
There are literally no artists with these lyrics, prove me wrong. I love these, his work.
No
Maybe earl but it’s different. But agree Mac was the real deal goat
Mac you saved my life 10 years ago and I'm so grateful that your music has watered and grown me into the blossom i am today. I remember my heart breaking the day you passed but you are immortal and one day my kiddos are gonna know your name. I love you :(
the world needs Mac more than ever right now...
my kryptonite is me
Mac I miss you so much. No artist has ever resonated with me as much as you did. Wherever you are I hope you have found peace.
So thanks for uploading this, I might not have discovered this song if you hadn't.
it’s crazy how music can do that
Hope You and Your Buddy Are Doing Well
This man, is such a beautiful artist/producer.
@@truthwatchsociety I agree. His bars be over their head n under their feet.
This is honestly my favorite song macs ever made. It’s so angelic .
Holy shit when he said "It's 6:26 in the morning" I looked at my clock at IT SAID SIX TWENTY SIX A.M. I'M FUCKING TWISTED RN
All his songs, feel so personal. Almost like he wrote if for you..beautiful artist.
Lyrics are brutally honest as always. Rest easy king
mac is the reason i even attempt to make music...his artistry will go down for generations...he was so honest and true to himself while also being cool as fuck....thank you mac from the bottom of my heart
Find him man ! This is the year you speak to him
I’m off the LSDDD lol smoking a joint and appreciating all of the beauty in this video and music when it was created. It’s also hella trippy LOL.
@@Guisk8POA nooooo lmfao it has saved my life I was going through multiple neuroses, and an existential crisis,I would have took my life or even worse continue to live life with no meaningful connection to others and oneself and only get worse,LSD in moderation and micro doses has unexplainably changed the way I view myself and the world around me,I now am able to perceive the world through a lens that allows me to know “I am the thinker of my thoughts, and furthermore the observe”,without this I would still not know to feel the feeling but not become the emotion and I would be impulsive and suicidal once more. But LSD may be different for you :) thanks tho for caring.

I always felt so good to put my friends on to new music and now it feels so good when my kids put me on to good music..!!
I Found this on sound cloud and just now remember I listened to this song 3 years ago
3rd shift at Waffle House. 4am in the empty parking lot, smoking a blunt, listening to this song. Wanting my life to be more than what it was but afraid to let go of what I knew. This song brings back some strong feelings.
you are where you are meant to be at the moment. ride the amusement park ride, life is wild. you'll get to your destination.
@@BradenWhite624 bingo
just keep paying attention. No matter where you go, God is there to help you just do your best. Be good to people around you. That’s all life is. You can do whatever you want with it in the meantime. The world still needs waffle house employees after all
Finding new to me mac music is the best thing ever. You could try to do it every day for the rest of ur life. He has so much shit out there. He was and still is incredible to me.
God damn by him is on soundcloud. Heeeat
I've never heard this before. The tears just fell out of my eyes
use to listen to this song all the time but honestly forgot about it as time went on. Thanks for this upload.
The raw insight into his mind in this song blows me away every time I listen to it.
Heard this the day it dropped, makes me think back and I've listened to Mac his whole career, he grew up with me and now I grow without him, but I'll always have his music and memories with it, love you Mac, appreciate everything you've done for me without even knowing
I remember walking to the store with my boy marc. He was talking about why I didn’t like Mac miller. Told me to listen to Larry fisherman. Said he was rapping about the stuff I was going through. He got killed. I can’t even tell him he was right. Life is kind of fucking wild.
This is one that always seems to find me when I need to hear it
what a trippy ass video, really brings the song to life
This visual is dope as hell
This song is so hauntingly beautiful, you can just feel mac's emotions and pain in his voice
Ive noticed in the songs where Mac is very monotone, he brings out a lot about himself. Wish I could have met you Mac
mac just made sense lyrics are vivid and real. miss you man.
This is honestly one of the most beautiful songs ever made, there’s levels to this I can’t even explain.
Mac has been one of my favorite artists and I grew up listening to him. This used to be one of my favorite hidden gems by him, and I'm so glad that its getting the attention that it is. I love that swimming and circles got the response that they did, but it's also nice to know that new fans are experiencing the Mac that I fell in love with.
it’s even like, mac would’ve even drawed and edited this video by himself.
rip, easy mac 🙏🏽☮️
With the cheesy raps
got home from first day of sophomore year. don’t know anyone in like half of my classes. i mean i could make friends and shit but i just really don’t like a lot of people some even for no reason. got home and fell asleep listening to this song almost instantly. almost wish i never woke up
damn i really forgot about this comment. it’s 3 weeks later. and i’m a little more social then i was. but i’ve developed an eating disorder i think. i’m 15 years old 120 pounds in the first place and i’ve lost 4 pounds in a week. my stomach just always hurts if i think about food now it sucks. i put just enough food in my body to get me through the day (like half of breakfast). hopefully this just fixes on its own but idk
@@DP-ru1gi damn bro i got some stomach problems too, shit that causes anything i eat to instantly vomit back up, despite the fact that i enjoy every taste of it like i normally do i just cant hold anything in my stomach while other shit occurring in my life was already enough as it is
Ugh I remember back in like 2015, being so drunk at a party and all i wanted to do was listen to this song on the speakers. I played it & the vibe of the party shifted bc this song is very dark. I still love this song almost a decade later. Thanks for the memories, Mac. We all miss you & love you. Most Dope forever 🕊️
Every single time I hear a Mac song I wana make music, inspires me everytime. Miss u dude ❤️
This is easily by the the most profound and mind-blowing visual of all time. As expected of one of the goats. Rip Mac
Mac describes the feelings we can’t describe
💯 🌌🌀♾📓☯️
a piece of the world died when he left us…thx for being there for all of us broken and down, you helped me get thru this game called life. gone way too soon r.i.p to the greatest 🤘
THere's just some kind of medicine in this one that you have to come back to.
i wouldn’t be the same person without this guy
r.i.p. mac miller (aka Larry Fisherman)
i feel like this man work is always so good, watching this vid changed my world for a minute
Brooo I literally couldn’t find this for the longest. Hearing Mac at the start so surreal now.
Been a Mac fan for a long time…. Just found this song today and to think of his lyrics and him actually talking about his life 😓😓😓💔💔💔💔 that breaks my heart especially when he said “my krypton is me” he was his own worst enemy and it took the best of him
'My kryptonite is me' - relates with me and leaves me thinking about universal and individual hardships of life...
Appeared in my feed again..something about winter makes this perfect..
I was tripping on an 8th of shrooms and gd I couldn’t stop listening to this, I finally felt like I understood where he was coming from, also how damn talented he was to make this with ease drunk
I remember listening to this in middle school. Macs voice brought me warmth in a world so cold. Rest easy Mac
I remember being almost addicted to Larry Fisherman SoundCloud drops. RIP Ill be listening till i die.
This brings so many memories
1:32 “I place my hand on the stovetop to see if I’m awake” interesting lyrics when compared to Kanye’s Ghost Town’s “I put my hand on the stove, to see if I still bleed”
Yes
How come no one is talking about the visuals on this, daaaamn!
"my kryptonite is me.."
🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 miss you larry.
Real Gs know this been out for years and never forgot it , “my kryptonite is me....yeah”
His best song. If we ever get an official release of this track, I'll ascend to heaven.
We don’t need an official release of this track. It’s perfect as is
R.I.P. mac, you were an amazing person and artist.. We miss you, but we know your jammin in heaven... Much love!
Used to bump this all the time back in the confusing days right out of high school
out of all the artists in the rap industry in these recent years Mac was definitely the most honest.
It's always a very emotional moment every time I find a track I haven't heard. I'm not smart enough to express what this man means to me.
the beat is so hard and the bars are so cold. the beat drop at 2:35 brings peace
I just am crying. RIP Malcolm
You can tell this was made around the time of faces. Asking questions, accepting and deep in drugs, the flows and rhyme patterns. I miss this mac. To a degree, it was liberating hearing him talk about all of the things he was struggling with in such an artistic way. These flows are my favorite
Nope
One of the most beutiful thing iv ever seen and heard
“People never say what’s on their mind cos their on a mission”
This songs a gem 💎
I too, wish you'd never left us. If you're reading this, Mac.. just know..
You are so loved.
Love you homie. Thank you for this.
Mac was a musical genius. He was only here 26 years but the dude was such an old soul. Love him like I knew him straight up.
Respectfully I think he was younger. He is only like 3 years older than me & and I remember listening to this back in about 2014. So that's even more impressive, love Mac
@ I’m speaking on Mac’s age in general. He was 26 and blessed us with a long list of music in his catalogue. I know he wasn’t 26 when he made this one.
@Dubskii4209 ahh sorry, I gotcha! I agree. We lost him far too soon. In a way, I feel selfish saying that. I just wish he was still living his life & doing what he loved.
@ oh yeah, he had a lot of potential to keep growing and creating. Thankful for what he left behind for us but will always wonder what else he could’ve created.
ive heard this song a few times but I needed this tonight. Thanks mac. Love your tunes.
This music will live on forever forever miss this guy
One of my favorites from Mac
"I wish life was kinda easier to figure out. I wish it was like Ferris Bueller singing Twist and Shout. I got a couple reasons that I'll stick around, but for the most part this shit is foul."

oh man haven’t i not seen this yet miss you mac 🥲🙏🏻🔥
This feels like a sad trip
This song hit’s very different & i love it so much. I honestly wish there was such a time, i got to spend some time in the studio with him, just to see him do what he was doing in the studio, the conversations etc. love you mac
