I got very tired around assassins creed rogue, hopefully your playthrough set keeps you interested
so how advanced is the AI? can I kill targets other than the templars or the Borgias? like political allies of both groups? or supporters? can I use the Templers or Borgias tactics against them and make people think they have turned against their own people so that they look bad?

I love that you used the Sly Venice themes for Venice here. Your soundtrack choices are always good. Haven't heard most of the Naruto ultimate ninja stuff in ages either, it's great.
I think the reason why the second game looks the way it does is that the team wanted to replicate the look of the old paintings from the Renaissance. The Ezio Collection receive some backlash for changing the graphics to make it more…uh, realistic?
Saturated... I like what they did with Forli, but everything else was really overboard

You CAN do stuff like the jump assassinations in AC1, but it’s more involved and is essentially a hidden mechanic that is not tutorialized or fleshed out. The executioner dude from Damascus (i think) has a built in approach that culminates with a flashy opportunity to air assassinate him from over his head
Yeah, I found out about that mechanic by accident. If you aligned yourself precisely with the enemy and jumped at them while hitting the attack button, Altair would kill them but it was a very hard to pull off move.

@@LordSeth-hf8ew it's easy to forget when you're playing, and the poor communication of game mechanics is still a problem, I don't believe the game should hold ypur hand every step you taek, but it should at least make you aware of game mechanics existing and how they work without needing a list of shit they arbitrarily decide to not tell you about so you can actually make use your full arsenal of moves conciously when the time is right.
It's only been 7 months, but the madman has actually done it.

Judging from the tone when you mentioned Brotherhood at the end, I'm going to make a wild guess that it's either the combat system, the story or just the main villain specifically, idk, i have mixed feeling about him too

Do you think assassins hear a trumpet playing whenever they go out to do contracts? I could've sworn I heard it pretty clearly when Ezio took on the Templars, but especially when he stabbed Uberto. Not that I could really blame him for such brutality.

I’m realising I enjoy your videos so much because with me juggling two jobs and taking care of my family I havent been able to enjoy any games besides the rare dota once a week. I loved KH and would be on forums talking about how 3 would pan out but til now I never played it. Same with mgs and ac. Its sad but also Im happy just vicariously playing through these with uncle jess while folding laundry

OMG I JUST finished AC 2 two hours ago then I go on UA-cam and see u uploaded this. WHAT TIMING
The AC1 fighting techniques you forgot to mention before are taught to you in training right after Altair gets the skill. I ignored these back in the day but in my recent replay I payed attention and it broadens the scope of combat in AC1. It might be my new favorite AC combat system but i don't want to jump the gun with it being so new to me.
I'm aware that there's still more features that I didn't mention or glossed over. But I think at this point it's all pretty small stuff.
It sucks that Assassin's Creed 2 Mario sounds like a better Mario Mario than Mario in the Mario movie.

I feel like 2 was a massive improvement over 1 in every way, but I still feel like the gameplay needed some fixing, fighting enemies became a chore after awhile and those dlc chapters went on WAYYYY too long and in the Ezio Collection its built right into the main game.
That being said, I believe that the story in AC2 is the best before they kind of rebooted the series (haven't played past unity) Ezio is amazing and seeing his growth is super rewarding

With new techniques, hay bale and ledge assassinations, there are high profile alternatives. The hay bale one you jump out and assassinate, don't know how this could be useful. With the ledge you jump up and kill them on the roof, useful if you dont want to alert people below.
you know, with that point of ezio apparently knowing where are the tombs are all of the sudden, we see la volpe dissapear so that means the animus skipped forward a little, maybe ezio asked la volpe to find switches like that
Every time you whip out the "did you know gaming" bit for something extremely obvious it has me howling in laughter. Love it.
Im pretty sure they explained the mask for the carnival is used as a pass into the event where the target is not just used for a disguise. That’s why we needed to compete for it. I may be misremembering but I played the hell out of this game.

Actually the bribe mechanic is much better once you realize that after doing the bribe, you can pickpocket the money you spent (and then some) for only a small increase in notoriety. It's quicker than tearing down two posters and you profit this way.

26:25 That's still the game's error, for making the controls complicated and jumbled than they needed to be. Requiring you to hold A to start climbing, and most people would immediately assume to keep holding onto it, and the game never even explains otherwise.

so excited to see you talk about brotherhood soon. i have great memories of that game. if you have any interest, i recommend looking up some footage of the multiplayer component to that game. it was actually really fun, like an assassins creed hide and seek game where you could mimic the npcs. it was really easy, and a lot of fun. really interested to see how you feel about 3 as well. there was a lot of controversy about if the game was trying too hard to be 'politically correct' when it came out.
if you have a ps3, you can very easily play these games without patches. i recommend it to anyone who's looking for a good laugh. ac3 with no patches is a wild, wild ride.
The reason Rodrigo walks away after stabbing Ezio is because it was actually a lethal hit, but the armour of Altair saves him.
Of course this makes no sense if you don't bother collecting all the seals.

My theory is that Rodrigo need to open the vault using blood aka dna, but it doesn't open cause Ezio doesn't realize "nothing is true, everything is permitted"

I love this game and really like the character of Ezio. It really is the definition of a good sequel, improving on everything wrong with the first game.
Personally I really enjoy the Assassin's Creed games, or at least the games that I have played which are 1, 2, Brotherhood, 3 and some of Unity. I know some people don't like 3 and I can see why but It's not as bad as people say. I've been meaning to play Revelations and Black Flag.
Personally, and I might be in the minority, I really liked Desmond's story and everything to do with the Animus. It was a great way to disguise gameplay limitations and blame it on the Animus. I would have maybe liked to see a game where you played as Desmond in Modern times, that could have been really fun.

Any type of disguise or attempt at blending in with the crowd makes zero sense in this game. Ezio has the iconic hood and armored Assassin robes and TWO Assassin symbols on his outfit. It looks nothing like what the civilians around him wear.
