    Nice to see you're having a much better trip out to CO this time around. Altitude is tough, even for us living here and hiking in it all the time. Slow and steady on the big climbs is always key. That and hydration (not beer, ha!), the right food choices at the right time and listening to your body. The CW and CT are amazing, anxious to see the rest of your series.

      😂 I loved Bryce’s Town Shirt sun hoodie/“blouse” the first time I saw him wear it that I bought one. It arrived last week.

    Funny I was just in Colorado same-ish area as you were. Also had a hummingbird dive bomb my face! Not sure if he liked my purple jacket??? Startled me! Hope you all had a good time up there!

    Bryce, maybe you need to buy a hoodie which doesn't have attractive flowers on it so the hummingbirds don't dive bomb you? Just a thought, LOL! What a beautiful hike! How about that new gnarly design for you trekking pole?!!! Do they have porcupines that high in Colorado?

    I had a ball cap with a bright flowered pattern that hummingbirds loved to dive bomb too. Great hike. Thanks for posting

    Lake Ann is one of the best places to camp on the CT. Climbing over the snow cornice at the pass above is always fun.

    Great video love it. The alcohol restrictions, thanks for that. I had hummingbirds also. They love my red umbrella (the zero Helinox). I guess you don't have mosquitoe problems up there on the AT.

    I hiked CW4 earlier in July. I'm looking forward to seeing this section in the video. The lake where you were camped is Lake Ann?

    This is just a great hike. It looked early like your pace was way too quick before you slowed later. I have to tell you a big issue with you struggling is just the pressure of not only hiking with a group, but a high profile group while filming. Thats exactly the kind of thing that adds to altitude sickness. Anything thats not really simple and at the perfect pace is really hard I bet you'd be fine on a solo. I've grown to just love a solo just because of that constant perfect pace. Mine. I'm going in 4 days and expecting rain in the sierras. I'm going to just turn it into a rain test....I've been crazy lucky with weather for years. We'll see. Gotta get away

    • @seedmole
      @seedmole 2 роки тому

      Yep, it's hard to keep a perfect pace when you're solo, and it's even harder if you're trying to match that pace with others who may or may not have the same ideal pace as you. And like you're saying, the competitive aspect of the content production world definitely factors into that too.

    Are you required to use a bear can (not a beer can) or Ursack on CT?

    Nope! Iraq & Afghanistan has ruined those mountain/dry/Rocky landscapes for me. Sold my house in Guffey Co, moved to Alaska. Bigger mountains with ocean view with trees and vegetation.
    Thanks for posting! Always enjoy your videos regardless of the scenery. 👍
