This trip was so much fun! Sick Intro! You did an awesome job putting this together! Great meeting you out there and hopefully we will be able to backpack again sometime soon!
YAY! Just got back home from going back down there this weekend haha Loved your video! You got some great shots. Also a lot better storytelling than me! So excited for the other guys' videos as well.
Hello Bryce, thank you for sharing another outdoor saga adventure. You had a great cast of fellow U-tubers. I'm sure that a good time was had by all. You did an excellent job of filming and narrating. Awesome views in this video. All the best of good things to you and your family. 🤗
I miss Utah so much. Been to canyon lands a few time. Lived in Vernal for 4 years. Loads of backpacking that way. I do remember the wind lol. 70mph winds were considered a bit breezy. Excellent video.
Sandy campin.....yea thats tough. I woke up one time with everything in my tent COMPLETELY covered in sand. Deffinately takes some getting used to. Great video man!
Nice video! After my trip to death Valley last year I absolutely fell in love with the desert all over again. Just got back from Joshua tree and Mojave a week ago. Starting to put up videos from that trip. Can’t wait to explore Utah. Thanks again!
My favorite part was the Walrus tent sighting, because I thought I was the only one that still had a tent by that brand. Eager to see the new Bivy. So far the original hasn't been enough to make me switch over from Garmin and my InReach.
Nice to see different channels I watch come together. I saw Dan’s the other day now yours. It’s wild to see the same seen in different videos from different angles. I remember seeing the seen of Dan talking about the meal having 900 calories in his video too. Great place you were at. 😊❤️🇺🇸⛺️
Beautiful stunning area Bryce! Careful calling the squatch 😂. Definitely got windy..wow! Better the lens hood then the lens. Thanks for taking us along brother! Doug
haha!! are there squatches in the desert?. lol.. and yes so happy I bought that $5 lens hood for my new new lens! only reason I use hoods are for that reason.
What a bunch of weirdos you went with😉 Thats place looks surreal! Ive hd that same problem with snow/sand/dirt blowing in all night. Not super comforting 😂 totally epic trip man👍
You probably dont care at all but does any of you know a way to get back into an Instagram account..? I stupidly forgot my account password. I would appreciate any tricks you can give me
@Bryan Clark thanks for your reply. I got to the site thru google and I'm in the hacking process now. Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
As always, killer video!!! I’m hoping to be there in Utah in June. This just made me that much more excited, and it also made me realize that I need to get my butt in shape! 😂 As always, great editing!
Bryce, I don't think The Restless One is going to be pleased when he finds out that you went backpacking with his BFF and didn't take him! Easier to ask for forgiveness than permission, I guess. lol Seriously though, very cool video. Utah might as well be a whole different planet from Ohio!
Nice Montbelll Jacket, I remember you discussing this jacket once and how it’s nice for running and hiking. Which one is it tho? Their are a few on their site under wind shell, thanks in advance
Bryce Newbold Thanks for the response as I was looking for a wind shell and remembered your advice on how you enjoyed yours. As a runner and hiker, which I enjoy both also. Again thanks loving the videos...
It is awesome that you got the chance to go to Utah in their semi winter season Sorry about your camera it took a big hit 😬 So many Rock scrambles I'm kind of jealous But that wind is very vicious on that poor little tent of yours I think you could have used those 8" sand spikes The same kind that Darwin has changed over to but his is only 6 inch I decide to get the 8 in because of the soil that I have around me and some Sandy spots
I could probably find it if I looked. But watch Devin or Amy's Videos. They know the area better and probably explain it in the video. I didn't look a map the whole time.. lol!! I would remember some of the names if I saw them however.
Wow, stunning country in Utah! and Haha... yep, welcome to the desert! When I saw you pitch your tent I've got to admit I cringed... your trekking pole needs to be a lot shorter on those kinds of days to keep the sand out... as you found out I guess! And snow in the desert... not something we see in Australia very often!
Here is another tip for you my friend Believe it or not nearly 30 or 40 years ago that little shovel called the deuce of spades. My grandfather bought 12 of those at our local Kmart for only $10.99 per pack and he used those as spikes at the beach and for the tents in other areas like very wet ground
Wow this is a must on my list now. Great vid and thanks for bringing us along. I emailed you but I'll ask here as well. Were you at Mohican this past weekend?
@@BryceNewbold yes you did. Dude I was going to say something but didn't want to comee off like a groupie. Lol..Honestly the ground sleeping didn't go well and my fuzzy brain couldn't think of your name.
Great video Bryce. Any chance you could post the route or email to me? A trek from Ohio in Feb. sounds perfect. I'm guessing there was no way to lower that rainfly to reduce the sand. Thanks for this.
No poop for me. Never had too. Pretty normal for my body functions to shut down on trips. Just didn't talk about the tent idk. Lol. Too much stuff going on.
Hey! Awesome vid!! Any plans to collab with syntax 77? My first backpacking trip was in Joshua Tree National Monument. It was Monument back then. Now it’s a National park. It was with the Sierra Club back in 1987. Great to see all these folks on a trip together!!
This video gave good picture why all of you are ultralights or lights… You have to be because of 2 kgs camera equipments 😂 And after few YT-sessios some average weekend warriors start to count ounces and buying some titanium spoons and change shoe laces for lighter one (I know one guy like that and he’s doing under 10 miles one night hikes every now and then, mostly then 🤣)
Awesome Channel and Awesome video! Glad your channel popped up in my suggested content. I create UA-cam backpacking videos as well. A buddy of mine and I hiked Needles in November of 2017 Starting at CP2 and finishing at LC2. Cool seeing another group in the beautiful Westward facing Chesler Park spot. Check out my video if you ever get time, we had temperatures in the teens at night at CP2. Looking forward to more videos Bryce! Safe Trails!
Wow... so many big time heavy hitters in one video. Very good video. The scenery was spectacular. Take Care and Keep Exploring The Outdoors.

Thanks man. Appreciate it 👍
I was at Moab in 2018 awesome place, the scale of the landscape has to be seen to appreciate it. Thanks for sharing your hike with us.
That nighttime wind reminds me of our Grand Canyon trip. It was wild! Definitely a trip you'll never forget!

Good tents from what I learned!.. and yea the 2nd gen bivy is way better.
@@BryceNewbold Indeed they are/were. Ultimately they were bought out by or merged with MSR in 2000.
Awesome video. Beautiful scenery
20:00 what just happened 🤣 amazing
it wouldn't be a Bryce video without at least 1 stupid thing in it. lol
Sick editing bro.... seriously loved it!!

That crust thing is BS. Dan. Don’t let them feed you that crap.
That looks like the most annoying trip ever...Everyone constantly filming each other. You have to be "on" the entire trip and can't relax.
Maybe if your not used to being on camera. We obviously had none of that. Amazing trip
First
Bunch of sell outs.
I don't see the problem. The Bivy guys were hardly in any of the video and the product was only briefly mentioned, I thought it was pretty subtle.
Arcana73 that’s awfully rude to say.
Lol. We didn't even get paid
