Great video! It was fun meeting you guys up at the CW/CE junction. Thanks for cheering me up those last 100 feet, that was a crazy steep spot! Hike on! Lin aka Elderberry
At 6:52 would make a kool pic for ya. js. Dog was barking and by chance I stopped the video there to see what was up. I came back and saw it said Dayyamm ! lol
Very cool. I've always wanted to get out to Colorado and hike the trails there. You've got to do Isle Royale National Park sometime. I'm going there this August for 60 miles in 7 days.
You’ve really got me excited for my upcoming Colorado Trail hike beginning in a few weeks! I’ll be going through the CW in early September. Looking forward to part 2!
@@mtadams2009 September was an excellent time of year on the CT. I started in Waterton Canyon on Sept. 2 and finished around Salida on Sept. 22 (completing 75% of Collegiate Peaks loop). Zero'd one day at Twin Lakes to avoid a snowstorm. Plan for a mix of warm, cold, rain, snow, and mostly fantastic weather. Can't wait to finish the CT this September!
@@AndrewHikesBergs Thanks for the information. Sounds like you had a great time. That is about the time I want to go. Avoiding the bugs and T storms possibly. Enjoy the rest of your hike. Take care
The Mule was awakened by The Moose. So what does “sleeping late” mean for The Mule? How late does he sleep? When camping, the daylight and animal noises always wake me up early. I can’t sleep late.
My goodness, you guys picked an epic trail to walk! Was this trail more challenging than the other one? How would you rate this hike in a 1 to 10? I was gasping along with you. Your traveling companion and you didn’t get to hike together much, though. Beautiful views!! Thank you so much for recording this trip and taking us along. Looking forward to the next video! Great vid, thank you. Looking forward to part two.

Hi! Crazy how steep that part was. Some guys pushing mountain bikes up behind you were really struggling. Good luck with finishing the trail!
“Snow wedgie”? With those shorts, I would have assumed you’d get a snow ENEMA sliding down that mountain.
A mid hike cleanse is always nice.
What a great trip. Part 2 should be a good one. Cheers.
Thanks der bud. Have fun in dem dare mountains.
Another great video and adventure. Good to see you out on the trail. Beautiful scenery. Thank you for sharing!
Thanks for watching!
Well, I’m enjoying this!
I’ll be watching for the next episode.🙌

Great content! Thank you!
Just awesome. That’s all I can say. Wish I were there with you 🏔🏕

Nice.
Do you bring micro spikes for these trips? I’ve never hiked something with snow like that in July and I’m curious what the snow is like.

He was hiking around 9am.

The CT is always a 10. More challenging that what other one? It was a butt kicker.
On day one, did you hike 14 total miles (with the back tracking) or to trail mile 14 (so 18 miles)?
Do you naturally adjust to high altitude? Especially coming from low elevation.
Most people do. It takes me about 4 days until I don’t notice. Everybody is different. You can hike days 1-3. Just take it easy.

Muchos gracias
What month did you go?
Early july
Chuck sleeps in to long. I am an early riser, I never understood those that sleep in, especially when blazing sun and T storms are an issue.
Love your vids
