After playing the Destiny beta on PS4 for 10 hours, I can happily confirm that this game looks every bit as good as Destiny graphically.
No fall damage? Thats going to make shortcuts much more fun.
Plus, being able to see the enemies level without targeting them is a great idea.
I liked low fall damage in Xenoblade Chronicles.
As a PC gamer the WII U is definetly the most appealing console right now to me.

Did you know that one of the doll designers was also responsible for making the mech design in Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance?

I am so hyped for this game you don't even know. Xenoblade Chronicles was the best JRPG of the previous generation IMO and this game looks better than it...plus the guy composing the soundtrack for this game composed the soundtracks for Attack on Titan and Kill la Kill (among others), which are amazing...and you get to pilot Mechs in this game...and you can run. Too much.
I am glad that you can actually customize your character, that's pretty rare to see in JRPGs. I also hope that they've improved the AI because they were kinda dumb in the original game.

Der Zender Ah man, to own a Wii U and ignore greats like Pikmin 3, DKC Tropical Freeze, Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, Wonderful 101, Mario Kart 8, Zelda Windwaker HD, Bayonetta 2, Super Mario 3D World and Smash is a disservice to both yourself and the console! Buy it for X, play everything else too!

Same here, actually after playing Xenoblade i played Beten Kaitos (Another Monolith Soft game) and its amazing, you should try it.

I guess it won't get an award like this, simply because it will be coming out pretty soon. Games like these are easily forgotten by the press later on.

Ngl, this game was ahead of its time.
I'm really going to miss having a main character. I really don't like the idea of having a voiceless protagonist in this game. Xenoblade's story wasn't the greatest thing ever but it wouldn't have been as good as it was without Shulk. A written character will always be better than a blank slate, especially one who doesn't even talk in cut-scenes. Seriously, it looks so awkward to someone who plays most other JRPGs. Idk, I still trust Monolith to still deliver but its still not what I would have done. Also the new composer Hiroyuki Sawano is good but i can't lie, I'm gonna miss Yoko Shimomura.
That being said, it looks leaps and bounds better than Xenoblade as a game. Xenoblade is my favorite game of all time, but the new mechanics in X look very very promising. The new class system and weapon switching will really add alot to this game's combat system, which is already proven to be very good. I just wish I didn't have to wait until next year to play it >_>

Usually when a game is delayed it's for a good reason. I would rather have an amazing game than just a mediocre/good game because it was rushed. The only problem is from a business standpoint in that they currently don't have any solid release dates for Black Friday/Christmas time.
Smash Wii u is set for Holliday realease which is usually mid November so that counts for Black Friday.

My most hyped game of 2015 so far. Loved Xenoblade Chronicles. Played it to death, in fact.

2015 is gonna be a heck of a year for Nintendo even for the other consoles but cant wait for 2015 for Nintendo.
I was just playing Xenoblade, and after going back to this, I can definitely say that the graphics improved a lot.

I haven't owned another console since the PS3. I honestly just spend more time on PC games these days (not ragging on consoles, I love em too!) but I haven't seen anything on the PS4 or XboxOne that I really want. Im sure in about 2 years there will be a ton of sweet backlog and then maybe I will get one. But This is different. I've followed the Xeno- games from the very beginning, Tetsuya Takahashi is a genius. Getting a Wii U. End of story.

I LOVE the character designs.. they look mature yet not too crazy. They look likable and I know for a fact im going to fall in love with this game and story just from watching this. The graphics will look even better on your HD TV screens. Nintendo always manage to pull that one off

2014 Nintendos biggest games for WiiU are Mario Kart 8 and Super Smash Bros., for 2015 it's The Legend of Zelda and Xenoblade Chronicles X. Because of that fact I assume their release date will be similiar.
XCX will be release around the time MK8 did, at the end of May. TLoZ like SSB4, at the end of November. Of course, this is just a guessing, but it would make the most sense to me.

Bayonetta 2 is more of a niche game. Comparing SSB or MK with Bayonetta would be a joke, in the sales.

This looks absolutely amazing. One thing I have NEVER understood is ... why are random words in english!? I mean, my head explodes when this happens. A game completely in japanese then BAM english words here and there.
Its because the japanese language adopted alot of english words, if you have ever been to japan youd notice it happens there people will just say so english word or two in the middle of a sentence and nobody bats an eye, its something that happens with most languages, they often share words or borrow from one another due to the mixing of multiple cultures, and not all languages have specific words for things that other languages do
There's random English in Japanese because they are "loan-words", reason being that they simply don't have the English word in their own language (sometimes it isn't the case though, it's just easier to use English sometimes). Before the 19th century, Japan was an isolated culture and Japanese was already standardized by this time, so a lot of concepts that exist now didn't exist in their language back then, so they just use the English word.
I'll accept that answer, but even then a game title Samurai Warriors is in english while the whole of the game is in japanese. Surely they have words for both samurai and warrior. I would not think that those words would be easier in english, especially with the history behind them.
I read somewhere that they like spreading some English into their speech. It's like how we say german words and spanish words and other words.

Man, This was shown 10 months before release and already looked great then. I find it interesting that Monoliftsoft managed to make this game look great o WiiU, with no major updates needed after launch, yet the Switch games have come out looking kinda ugly at first and needing later fixing (mostly in portable). I guess that portable aspect is something they must tackle during development.
Damn, people weren't kidding when they said the guy who did tracks for AoT made some tracks for this game. The music sounds just like AoT music

Ok seriously though, while the character models are hit or miss artistically, the environments are gorgeous and the scale in this world is insane. With environments that huge and that nice looking, it really does show that the WiiU has a lot more potential then people give it credit for. Start at 14:00 and watch 2 minutes of it.
Buying Wii U for this, Bayonetta 2 and Nintendo goodies. Buying PS4 for Guilty Gear Xrd, Bloodbourne & Japanese third parties goodies.

It would be great if they did a bundle with Xenoblade Chronicles like Platinum is doing with Bayonetta. It's very expensive and hard to find and I would appreciate a re-release with better graphics.
That would print money, there literally is nothing like Xenoblade on the market and an Hd re-release would sell hot cakes in the States.
And would take 300+ hours to finish them both games literally :P Would really be win-win situation for fans and developers while they develop next game.

The scale of this game is HUGE! A large hub world, plus the surrounding environment. Now, that's how you put hard work into your project.

Once this game releases and you still don't own a Wii U, you should consider about seeing a therapist ASAP.
Can't wait for this game. I have full faith in Monolith Soft to offer an amazing RPG experience. Again. I mean look at this giant beautiful world, this is gloriousness right here. I don't think I know any other studio that creates universes quite like Monolith does.
The graphics is as good as the movie Final Fantasy. It's like After Earth but with a vengence. Evil empire destroying planets is as old as Star Wars back in 1977. In the late 80's the Wing Commander series started and in WC III if you played badly enough the Kilrathi empire kill all humans on Earth. Half Life 2 and its expansion packs deals with survival against and alien horde and it has puzzles and plenty of weapons but not much in fighting styles. Halo series pretty much the same thing. Xenoblade Chronicles graphics looks like Halo 4 quality. I wonder what is the goal to finally defeat the aliens? The fighting sort of reminds me of Tera Online. I'll buy it.

There's one thing I don't like about games with customizable names and voice acting.
Nobody refers to you by name.
"Are you okay?"
"He doesn't seem to be in good shape."
"Help me dude!"
However, if there was some way for them to refer to you by some name, like, anything at all, that would make it so much better. Like a nickname.
Or, better yet, if there was a set of predetermined names where if you chose one of them, the characters would refer to you by the one you chose (Hello, Ethan! | How are you, Jared? | Many thanks, Reyn!), or a more broad reference if you chose a custom name (Thanks dude!, How are you doing?).
Also, the WORST POSSIBLE THING that could happen, is no voice acting for the main character, I hate mute protagonists.

Well, I wouldn't wonder if they would give you a nickname. Like they did in The Elders Scrolls IV, V or Fallout3. Where you are "Hero of Quatch", "Dragonborn" or "Vault 101 dude".
