Movie Description: Women Talking is a 2022 American drama film written and directed by Sarah Polley. It is based on the 2018 novel of the same name by Miriam Toews, and inspired by real-life events that occurred at the Manitoba Colony in Bolivia.[5] The film stars Rooney Mara, Claire Foy, Jessie Buckley, Judith Ivey, Ben Whishaw, and Frances McDormand, who is also a producer on the film.

Thank you. Your review just made me so happy. Women Talking & Aftersun are both my most anticipated movies. I’ve heard such raving reviews about both films. They don’t come out in Australia until February. I’ll be there first day both are released. I’m so glad you liked Women Talking. One of my most favourite ensembles of actors ever. Sarah Polley is brilliant. I also heard the score is excellent. I cannot wait to see it!!!

How's the weather right now in Australia? It's freezing in the Northern Hemisphere more specifically in the United States.
This was an impressive film. The powerful themes presented are relevant to today, and demand serious consideration. The situations grab your heart - especially as embodied in Ben Whishaw's performance. I love Polley's use of desaturated colour, which reflects the psychological damage done to the women. My only complaint is the liberal use of the Monkees' pop song, Daydream Believer. The lyrics and tone just didn't match the film's sobering message.
Saw this today and it floored me. The writing has to be some of the best I've seen this year, it could honestly have been a stage play rather than a movie
Should I see this or living? I don’t mind slow movies as long as it keeps me interested. but which would you recommend

Great film with a important message. Claire And Jessie killed it as did everybody else.
I'm very surprised. The set-up seemed boring, the plot seemed boring, but it was actually very engaging
Another great thing that I haven't seen anyone mention is that the movie is almost completely just pulled from the book. Word for word, I don't think they even wrote much of the script, they changed almost nothing from the book.
