Thanks for the demo. Your hair always looks good! Suggestion: After appling your styler and defining your curls, put an alligator clip a couple of inches above your ends per section, then diffuse. The weight of the clip will stretch your curls to the same length, and your hair will dry without breaking the gel cast.

I loved this review. I ordered this gel also and I was one of the lucky 100 to get that cute acrylic case. I used this gel with the Melonberry leave in and the definition was so incredible. I didn't get any flakes and my curls are still super defined and shiny. I also subscribed to your channel. I like your content.

Hey Katrina. Every review of that gel I’ve seen, the gel flaked on them. So, it wasn’t you. The reviews are reminding me of the 4U By Tia line. Your hair was already soaking wet, sooo. Don’t let anyone convince you that you applied it incorrectly, because you didn’t. As for the Melonberry Leave-In, that’s a whole other story. I’ve seen nothing but GORGEOUS results with that leave-in, combined with their Curl Defining Cream, or their Curl Defining Gel. I just placed an order with them and I can’t wait to receive my little 1 oz leave-in. Hearing about these flake city results hurts my heart, because my son and I love Adwoa Beauty. I’m so happy I didn’t buy the Melonberry gel, though. Thanks hun for the great and very fair review🥰💜.
Oh my goodness 😩Yes I agree and both times were very disappointing because I really wanted to like them! I’ll still play around with gel, but I do look forward to trying other combos with other products from adwoa beauty. I can’t wait for you to get your order!🥰💕

Just done my WnG with this gel this weekend and loving the results. Used a little of the hair milk underneath...applied to wet hair...and no flakes. Just shiny beautiful curls. I feel like if too much is used you would definitely get flakes as I had added a bit more to my crown area which tends to be more frizzy and less defined that the rest of my hair. That section I did notice had a coated, almost slightly flaked look. But once I put some oil mist on it and it disappeared. So I definitely know I can't overuse it or else it would flake. It had a good crunchy cast too when I sat under the hooded dryer. But when I added the shine mist it broke some of the cast...and then when I went out in the humid warm weather here in Bermuda it seemed to break down the rest of the cast, but it still was nice and defined and moisturized.

First of all, you look so pretty! 😍I'm just getting around to trying some of the adowa products but I love the way this gel defined and added shine to your curls. Hopefully you find a way for it to work without the flakes.

I haven’t tried it yet. But it looks like something I would try based off how it applied to your hair and your dried results looked good. I’ll probably try with the leave in and cross my fingers for no flakes. tfs

Great review and beautiful results. I love the gel. I’m on day 3 of my wash and go. This is my first time trying Adwoa Beauty and I do have fine, less dense curly hair. I applied it on wet hair with the melonberry leave in. I didn’t get flakes though.

I would buy it just for the packaging!!! I have fine strands and low to medium density hair so I think this would really work well for me. It probably wouldn't have like so badly if you had done it in the shower on soaking wet hair like you said. But either way it looks really pretty, Thanks for the review!

Thank you for reviewing this! Although I love their masks, the serum, and the blue tansy leave-in, the baomint gel didn’t work for me. I was wondering if this would be better
You’re welcome!💕 With the baomint gel you really have to make sure your hair is soaking wet when applying. The melon berry gel you just can’t use a lot of it.

I used this gel and didn’t get flakes. I used smaller sections of hair than I usually do, and only used half of pump per section.
Ok well I’m glad you didn’t get any flakes…I will play around with it and hopefully I won’t get flakes again.
What would you say there hold level of the gel is?
I would say a soft hold.
I bought this too but worried about the glycerin here in the south and flakes lol

But I heard the leave in works wonders with the other products. But lots of flakes with gel.
I will stick with my mousse, I tried the biomint gel and it flaked on me that’s when I decided, no way I’m wasting money on that gel, cause I will be pissed and I will get my money back.
The baomint gel flaked on you? 😩Oh no….I haven’t tried that one yet, but will soon. Yes it is disappointing when you spend your money on something that doesn’t perform like you wanted it to.
