Sooo... you literally are in my head!!! I had this EXACT idea and even purchased the twists pack from Amazon and was searching high and low for a youtube video if someone has done this faux passion twist look and it took WEEKS but here you are sis!! I had been procrastinating on doing mini twists on my hair because I don't feel my prettiest with my hair being on the fine side but I needed to able to moisturize my hair because your girl is getting to waist length!! You don't know how many conversations I had in my head to talk myself into these mini twists with just my hair. I just couldn't do it. I was like I'll just do braidouts until my hair is long enough for a wash and go I like on me... but I keep searching for protective style ideas because I need to lose 45 lbs but my hair ALWAYS looks a mess when I hit the gym heavy and I wasn't putting ANYMORE added hair in my head because my tail is lazy and my hair will dry out and break off due to neglect and all that sweating. I just want to thank you!! The last box is checked and I will be doing this hack TADAY!!!

Yes, awesome hack. I do something similar when I do a high/low puff. I bun up my hair and use a similar ponytail around it but with loose afro springy hair. It's so undetectable. I love it!!!

I finally tried mini-twists on my fine hair and I'm LOVING them! It weird but they actually look good. I've had them in for almost 3 weeks now and the frizz is definitely showing coz I don't wear a shower cap when I shower. I'll try these tips next time. ❤️

I like this. I'm not quite ready to loc my hair, but I love the mini twist look, so this is a viable hack for me. Have you used the Shea Moisture manuka honey hydrate & repair leave in? My oldest daughter and I have fine hair and it's become our official leave-in!
I used to used the deep conditioner all the time, but I don't think I ever tried the leave-in!
