I use a 20ft piece of PVC with a cheap wire type trash can. I use thick gorilla tape . Catch them all the time with this and can take it on the back of a truck or side by side for added height.
On another channel I saw someone use a wire waste basket on a pole to collect swarms. The bees liked the basket and didn’t want to leave it. It may have been lighter than a five gallon bucket. I don’t remember which channel it was on.

That indeed looked like a good size swarm. When did this happen? Just trying to see how late in the year they swarmed.
