One thing to consider once you pull your honey supers is pull 2-3 frames from each of your strong hives for splits in 5 frame nucs. What I do in my single deeps, seems to help the over crowding. Sell the nucs if you don't need the extra or just over winter them. Just a thought.
That went smooth! I caught a small swarm maybe a little over 1 frame worth of bees but it had a laying queen in it that wasn't one of ours. I took some resources from another hive to boost them up and they seem to be doing fine so far. Our swarm was drawing out new comb though so you should be fine. If you can get them to build up and into a double 5 frame deep that'll be the same as your 10 frame singles. I'm looking forward to the video of removing the hive under the gray hive.
Haha, well I have been draaaaaaagging my feet on that one. It’s so big it touches the ground now! 🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️ I really need to get it removed. They’ve been there over a month. I’m a terrible beek. Lol
Olá gosto muito dos seus vídeos ,também estou a começar ,este ano apanhei 2 enchames ,mas para mim não foi um bom ano de mel ,talvez para o ano seja ,tenha tudo de bom beijinhos
I would have removed a couple of frames before inserting the swarm to insure the most of the bees would have been installed.
Yes. I am still learning this lesson. Lol
That is a pretty good size swarm. I have a colony under one of my hives this year too. I'm waiting on the fall flow to get started to remove them.
Ok, now I am really impressed 😊 to do all that in shorts and flip flops 😂
Now hopefully it survives over winter 😊😊
Haha! 😉
Lol...I have been making deeps and frames.
Nice
Doesn't necessarily mean that they are going to stay 😂. Still feeling your pain

@@beesintheweeds It's been so hot though, totally understandable! It'll give you a chance to use that bee vac though!
@@BrianCooper901 Brutal heat!!!
How many colonies are you up to? I'm at 13 with 6 nucs
