Slash (the guitarist) is considered one of the best in the world. When he's doing his solo out in front of the church, this was pre-drone era. That's a friggin' helicopter repeatedly buzzing past him getting those shots This was the first video to do that.) blowing his pretty afro hair all over the place.
What happen in the video September rain when the rain started there was lightning so is girlfriend “wife” was struck And died that’s what I seen in the video
@@RobSquadReactions LOVE Guns N' Roses, I'm so happy you did a reaction to them!!! I agree with everyone else asking for more GNR, I suggest you start with anything off of their Appetite For Destruction albumn (lots of suggestions in the comments for those songs, but I suggest Mr. Brownstone, Welcome To The Jungle or Rocket Queen). I will say that if you're a Bengals fan, you've at least heard the beginning of Welcome To The Jungle at kickoff during a game, but you should still hear the song in it's entirety. Axl Rose is one of my favorite singers (and my taste in music is anything from Classical to Rap to Heavy Metal with the exception of country) and Slash is definitely in my top 5 guitarists list. There are great guitarists that play technically, and there are great guitarists that play emotionally, and I would put Slash in the later category. Enjoy the ride, I'm loving your reactions so far!!!
Everyone at my university adored Welcome to the Jungle when it came out... the "party dorm" on campus had been nicknamed The Jungle for years, decades even... and then GNR came on the scene and gave it an anthem!
You will not find Rock bands like this nowadays. They had their time and can still rock it. 80's-90's rock was awesome as you will find during your journey through these songs.
“Who is that?” That my friend is Slash. Legend has it he isn’t even a person, rather, an immortal guitar spirit personified come to bless us with some music and give us eargasms with his guitar play.
once they did this song axel decided he wanted to make more songs that were similar kind of part of what ruined guns n roses stuck in that big hit ballad mind set i think plus he was nuts lol
Its a song I can relate to, met a true love at age 55 and moved across the country to be together but just short of 2 years I woke to find her passed away from a massive heart attack. Love has found its way back into my life. I believe 🙏 God brought Suzy to me to make her happy for a short time as those were her last words before I fell asleep "I love you Brian. Thank you for making my life the happiest its ever been " kissed me as she played with my hair. Then that was all.
I know you were vibing to the song, but if you watch the video carefully, he lost his wife. In the short story this song and video are based off of, the bride committed suicide shortly after they married. GNR spent a truckload on this video when it came out. It's a work of art. If you like their swag, you need to continue down this rabbit hole. They have swag galore. Axl Rose on vocals and piano and the one and only Slash on guitar.
Also, if you read the subtext of the video, the girl who became Axl's character's wife had feelings for Slash's character. That's why she looked behind her when she got into the limo; she was looking for HIM.
@@GRAYR189 I agree with this, and I think the feelings were mutual, because as soon as the couple kissed, Slash left the building to play his guitar outside. When you scree your guitar like that, you make it "weep/cry". That was probably him letting out sadness through his guitar.
This song is one of those "in a category of its own" songs. Definitely listen to more GNR -- Paradise City, Welcome to the Jungle, Don't Cry (the video of which is part 1 to this one), Rocket Queen, Civil War, My Michelle, Patience . . .that should get you started! For what I think is the VERY BEST power ballad of the 80s, please PLEASE give "Still Loving You" by the Scorpions a listen. No keyboard for you but it will give you chills. Also, give Lynyrd Skynyrd's live 1977 Oakland performance of Freebird a listen. You'll hear keyboards and see some of the best guitar playing you'll ever witness.
These guys were THE hugest rock band in the world back in the late 80's/early 90's. I mean, just look at the film-level production of their videos, and this is like back in 1992 or so. They cost a fortune. The record this song is taken from was a double album that literally had singles at the top of the charts for at least 3 or 4 years after it came out. They did a tour with Metallica that was insane since they were the two biggest rock band of the time, and they invited Nirvana, who were only starting to hit it big and were arguably the third most successful band of the time, to tour with them but hey declined the offer because they felt it was too commercial. If GNR, Metallica and Nirvana had toured together the world would have imploded or something.
This song is one that pioneered the transition from 80s-style hard rock to the style that became popular in the 90s. The lead guitarist is known by the stage-name of "Slash." He's considered one of the best guitarists of all time. You should also react to "Sweet Child Of Mine" (Guns N' Roses.) And thanks for letting us know that you like songs that start slow/soft, but then build up to deliver the guitar-gasms. The best-known, legendary rock (actually, heavy metal) band that specializes in that is Metallica. Led Zeppelin songs often follow the same pattern.
This old hippie really loves this site that is the best hands down on u tube. They are SO willing to step out of their comfort zones and listen to ALL generations of music . Love them. They are decent people who don’t try to be anything but themselves which I find so refreshing. Hope little mama Amber is doing ok!
I would also heavily recommend Don’t Cry and Patience and Estranged and also (one of their more obscure songs) Prostitute, which is a very subtle masterpiece imo.
One of my all time favourite bands, thank you for sharing this reaction. What an introduction to the guitarist Slash and Vocalist and pianist Axl Rose and the other amazing members of G’n’R
This song is part of a trilogy, Estranged and Don't Cry is the other 2. But you need to check out their other songs Welcome to the jungle, Sweet Child o mine, etc..
November Rain has always given me chills, every time I’ve heard it❤. In my playlist, Always has been one of my favorite G&R’s songs. Axl ❤❤❤ and Slash is a legend on that guitar! One of the best bands from back then and today. They still rock ❤
Great reaction! That song blew my mind when I first saw/heard it. I was in awe. It truly showed how great of a singer Axl really is, at least to me. I later find out he is considered one of the greatest singers of all time. I did some serious head-banging back in the day with these guys, among many others in that time. Some great years for music, that was for sure. Still rocking to them to this day.
Great reaction. Guns N' Roses are such an amazing band. This is an unusual one to start out with for a couple reasons. Most of their stuff is a lot harder, and this is also the second song in a trilogy (but you had no way of knowing that). If you're interested in the rest of the story, the first song in the trilogy is "Don't Cry" and the third song is "Estranged." They are all ballad-type songs. To see what they're really about I suggest "Welcome to the Jungle," "Paradise City," and "You Could Be Mine." I've seen some other good suggestions but they don't have videos. By the way, the guitarist is Slash. He's a legend.
The hard rock genre (at times, depending on the band, referred to glam rock or hair rock) reached its apex in this song. The ending funeral was actually a funeral for this style of music as as it had reached its peak in that very funeral march. :) Thanks for the reactions.
Def Leppard, Pink Floyd, Ac/Dc, and G&R is pretty much the soundtrack to my coming of age years. Thanks Jordan. Ya need to let your girl in on this one, for sure. Shoutout, my Dude, from this old, longhaired, hippy in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Peace and love, brother. Take it easy. See you on the next. Later.
I'm 22 now and I grew up with music from my parents. I absolutely love this era of music. Also, even though he's 55, Slash has literally been one of my favorite guitarists and one of the loves of my life since I was 2. That man is highly talented and STILL highly attractive. Lol. Great reaction! ☺☺❤
It's great to see you have an open mind on metal music, there is so many great bands with great music and lyrics that have meaning to them. There is so many types of metal categories, and so many legends. Great reaction, thank you.
welcome to the jungle paradise city sweet child o mine are all musts by guns n’ roses. those are some of their most popular songs. guns n’ roses were absolutely huge in the 80s. they are one of the biggest band ever in rock history. they are amazing!!
Guy on the piano is Axl Rose, the lead singer. He also wrote that song. You should listen to the Appetite For Destruction album, their first & the highest-selling debut album in rock history. Btw if you liked the guitar solo outside the church you'll love pretty much every 80s rock video, guitarist playing in a remote location on their own for no apparent reason is just what you did back then
How did I miss this reaction. November Rain is my all time favorite GNR song! You should let Amber react to this. Slash is a killer on that guitar. Check out his group Velvet Revolver.
I remember getting to my favorite record store in Johannesburg in 1991 about 2 hours before they opened with all of saved up cash from delivering newspapers to buy both of the Use Your Illusion albums, I still have them both, not a bad track on either of them!
You’re doing great with your new channel! Hope you take your back drop to your new place you talked about the other day .love rock ballads. Have a good one
The video is actually snippets from his actual wedding. But they got divorced. This song & Patience are my absolute favorite by Guns But they are All great. Guns will be played at my funeral ; that’s how much I LOVE them…
Axel rose is playing the piano and synthesizer on this song and the song was released in 1991 gives me chills every single time I listen to it such a great song and Axle Rose and his bandmates just rock
Every band that's played for at least 10 years or so has an anthem song. That one song that reaches more than just their target audience. 50 years from now, this one will be the one that identifies this band as a true musical talent. Sure, Welcome to the Jungle may still be played in football stadiums in 2070, but this song shows the overall talent of this band more than Welcome does.
Guns is awesome. so many tunes: Mr. Brownstone Locomotive Night Train Estranged Welcome to the Jungle Pretty Tied Up Double Talkin Jive and a bunch more... so many more.
Without You is a great short story by Del James in his book Language of Fear . November Rain is based on it. It was part of a trilogy of videos. Don't Cry, November Rain and Estranged. If I remember correctly.
👍👍 Another great reaction! Gun's and Rose's Rock Hard!!! Slash is one of the best gautar players ever! There is a long list!!! And Axle Roads is the lead singer.
The lead singer Axl Rose during a GNR concert in KC in 2011 took the time to talk to the crowd between songs and told us that when he started out in trying to be in a band that he didn’t want to be a singer , but just wanted to be a piano player .... then told us that as the band began to form and they needed a lead singer , he went on to be the singer and not the piano player.... and the rest is rock n roll history!
This is part of a trilogy. Now you gotta do Don't Cry, and Estranged. Any G'NR OV is a masterpiece. Nice reaction brother. The guitarist is Slash, definitely a G.O.A.T.
I think it's so awesome that in the video, Slash attends the wedding Stag and is like "Duty done, I'm out! I'm gonna celebrate my boy's happiness with a Guitar Solo!"
I still remember watching this premiere on MTV when I was a kid. The entire block watched Slash go to town on that thing without blinking or breathing like, "what the hell is this?!" ROCK GOD!
One of my favorite bands!! My mom loved Axl Rose she absolutely loved his voice!! This song is a classic of theirs!! Hmmmm - Axl Rose in glasses is kinda hot 😍 Slash’s guitar solo is amazing!! FYI - Axl Rose sang WE WILL ROCK YOU with Queen at the Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert 1992. Check it out! Guns n Roses credits Queen as being a big influence! Nice reaction! 👏👏👏
This is part of a trilogy of videos... it amazes me that reactors are never told this and the proper order in which to to watch the trilogy Don’t Cry November Rain Estranged And then it still helps to read the short story “Without You”
Love watching you grooving in the Bengals tee to your first GnR song totally unaware of "Welcome to Jungle" until you visited Paul Brown Stadium months later.
Hard rock group... suggest Welcome to the jungle. You might like Billy Joel Piano man ( theres a cool live performance). Also Joe Cocker .. unchain my heart..official version. That was Slash. Well known guitarist.
Guns N Roses is one of the biggest rock bands of alltime. I’m sure you’ve heard Welcome to the Jungle and Paradise City which are played at every sporting event known to man lol. Also Sweet Child O’Mine was a massive song aswell.
One thing that was huge back then the singing had to fit the music to a T the speed the softness of it and if they made a video it had to fit everything what they are singing about and everything else so you can feel the music as you can see that why they worked so hard back then
@@RobSquadReactions yep and now a days it's like they don't even try to make the song fit the video it's here's a song and here's a video that looks cool but has nothing to do with the song

Slash the guitarist is another genius. Amazing guitar player. You gotta check out Welcome to the Jungle and Paradise City. There are others many others but those are two of the biggest
GUN'S N ROSES, DONT CRY AND ESTRANGED. THESE SONGS ARE PART OF THE TRIOLOGY OF SONGS FROM NOVEMBER RAIN . THESE 3 SONGS TELL THE STORY . SLASH IS THE GUITAR PLAYER , HE IS A GOD 🤘🤘🤘
In 1992, Guns N' Roses unveiled their epic November Rain video. It was, at the time, the most expensive promo ever made, costing the label $1.5 million
My favorite group of all time. Love Axl Rose, Slash, electric guitar, and the rest of these guys are fantastic. I love everything about this song and video. I must point out also your reaction is on point. I love that you don't interrupt the video with constant inane chatter. You left your review until the end. I go crazy when a reviewer is constantly interrupting. Thank you. I look forward to many more reactions from you.
GnR is one of my TOP FAVES! Seriously, Every. Single. Song. Is. Amazing. In its own ways. I could send U down a rabbit hole with GnR & everything is just different but GREAT. Welcome to the jungle, Sweet child of mine, Don’t cry, Knocking on heavens door, Patience, U could be mine, Mr Brownstone...SERIOUSLY they ROCK! Slash is the guitarist, one of the best EVER! I cannot watch this reaction & not say something about ur shirt...BOO!!! GO BROWNS! ;) lol! Seriously tho, I’m loving seeing your reactions to all of the amazing music that I love
Checking out some of your videos before I subscribed about 5 months ago. Beautiful song. Love the Bengals shirt. I still can’t believe our old Cornhuskers quarterback is an NFL coach now. He is still young!
BIG gunners fan here. @5:40 You're probably thinking what I'm thinking, all those people would *never* fit inside that little rural church!😅🤭 One of the greatest songs ever, easily a billion views, but you'd never heard it before?🤯
Glad to see you getting into G' N' R. This one is from their 2nd most popular album but I still wore it out in cassette form back in the day. Was land surveying and playing it on a loop several times a day. Saw them in concert for the Appetite For Destruction tour on September 7, 1988 with Aerosmith here in Nashville.
As a huge Steelers fan I hate your shirt but love the reaction and this song. One of my favorite all time bands, you gotta hear Welcome To The Jungle, Don't Cry, Sweet Child O Mine, Paradise City and their version of Knockin On Heaven's Door.
Y'all see I'm NFC fan so I'm not in this fight Lol. Don't forget Patience that and November Reign and Don't Cry are the one's I think Jordan will vibe to. Patience is one of my favorite songs ever. This one is definitely in my top ones too. Also Sweet Child of Mine you'll like it's not slow but it's not hard rock. Welcome to the Jungle might be a bit harder than you prefer but no GnR is like super death metal hard or anything. It was their big hit that kinda introduced many people to GnR. You'll probably like Knockin on Heavens Door too. What happened to Motley Crue today though? I think you'll like Home Sweet Home better than Kickstart but Kickstart my Heart is definitely Hype. Home Sweet Home starts with Piano. I like both bands pretty equally.
Just going back through videos since finding your channel and saw this one! Love this song! One little twist in the song though.... the spark of hope. In every verse "nothing lasts forever in the cold november rain" but in the LAST verse "Nothing lasts forever, EVEN cold november rain", showing that moment of realization that just like good things have to end, bad things do too! As others have said, more GNR please!
It's your type of vibe and your is my type of reaction. Thanks for listen without interrupting. That is the good way to do a reaction. Greetings from Argentina. 🙋🏻♂️🇦🇷🤝🏼🌎
If you watch the entire video, it is self explanatory ! Axel Rose on vocals and piano. Slash is the guitar player. They both had feeling for the same woman .

Velvet Revolver rocks! "Fall to Pieces" is a banger!! 🔥
Try "Welcome to the Jungle" Some of the best Guns n' Roses.
I actually I’m thinking about keeping it for my new place instead of redoing everything
As time goes by, I appreciate Guns and Roses more and more.
Guns is awesome. so many tunes:
Mr. Brownstone
Locomotive
Night Train
Estranged
Welcome to the Jungle
Pretty Tied Up
Double Talkin Jive
and a bunch more... so many more.
Everything I see you reacting to is the music I grew up listening to in high school. Welcome to the eighties!!
Without You is a great short story by Del James in his book Language of Fear . November Rain is based on it. It was part of a trilogy of videos. Don't Cry, November Rain and Estranged. If I remember correctly.
My favourite rock band with The Ramones!!!! Love so much Guns N Roses
Introducing Amber to this song is a must!!!!
👍👍
Another great reaction!
Gun's and Rose's
Rock Hard!!!
Slash is one of the best gautar players ever! There is a long list!!!
And
Axle Roads is the lead singer.
I was totally digging this song and slash was absolutely amazing
Axl Rose.
@@dolphin8077 oh you are right my mistake,
Must have been stoned! 😂
@@timbillings6884 same here, sometime 😂🤘🏻
My absolute favorite by Guns and Roses!
A great version of this song. Another worth a listen is by Scottish singer Sandi Thom, who sings a really scaled back version and it's brilliant.
The pretty but very emotional rock ballad. I like how they did it. You are tight everyone wanted to be a Rockstar in the 80's, 90's a some do today.
This is part of a trilogy of videos... it amazes me that reactors are never told this and the proper order in which to to watch the trilogy
Don’t Cry
November Rain
Estranged
And then it still helps to read the short story “Without You”
👍
I wish someone would do the trilogy reaction!! Great videos and songs!!
That was Slash he is one of the top 5 Guitar players of the last 40 years Jimi Hendrix, and Eddie Van Halen are also up there
David Gilmore, Jimi Page, Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, etc!
@@777edmatt Oh yeah all great guitar players, you could add Brian May,etc thanks for reminding me of other greats Randy Rhodes the list just goes on.
Thank you for the suggestions and slash was killing it
Guns N Roses is one of the biggest rock bands of alltime. I’m sure you’ve heard Welcome to the Jungle and Paradise City which are played at every sporting event known to man lol. Also Sweet Child O’Mine was a massive song aswell.
I'm loving your musical growth. That is Axel on the piano lead singer.
Guitar is the infamous Slash
They were both amazing
One of my favorite songs by GNR. Got to check out Don't Cry.
One thing that was huge back then the singing had to fit the music to a T the speed the softness of it and if they made a video it had to fit everything what they are singing about and everything else so you can feel the music as you can see that why they worked so hard back then
Worked absolutely hard and you can tell
@@RobSquadReactions yep and now a days it's like they don't even try to make the song fit the video it's here's a song and here's a video that looks cool but has nothing to do with the song
I can’t stand the current music videos!
@@debramoore7513 the biggest diffents about music now to then is now it is meant to make you sad , depprsest and angry. tells you nothing good. where ares tells you both but in a good way not to go out and kill. people say music dose not aficet how people think and feel and as you can see from todays music its dose. and like i said there are older bands and singers that still stand by are way Mettlaca is one of the. it show the true thing that the guvement dose not what people to know even today. there song THE DAY THAT NEVER COMES was to show you what happens to army people when they are over there and how hard it truly is and why.in the song it tells you there are 2 sides not just 1. when you do react to that one i will give you the full brake down of the meaning that people miss
Slash the guitarist is another genius. Amazing guitar player. You gotta check out Welcome to the Jungle and Paradise City. There are others many others but those are two of the biggest
Thanks for playing this song ! My favorite song by GNR
I do love guns and roses. Especially this song.
What Axl Rose was doing on the piano at the outro of the song is called a glissando. Can be done down the keyboard (left) or up (right).
Ohh dude!!!!! If this was your first Gun's and Roses song............ you really gotta check out"welcome to the jungle" and "paradise city"!!!
That's SLASH with the top hat
The man on piano Axl Rose. Guitar was Slash.
Big band all time lot view
This is one of the first songs I learned on the drums loved playing drums to this
As a huge Steelers fan I hate your shirt but love the reaction and this song. One of my favorite all time bands, you gotta hear Welcome To The Jungle, Don't Cry, Sweet Child O Mine, Paradise City and their version of Knockin On Heaven's Door.
Oh no not a Steelers fan 😡
I’m just kidding I’m so glad you liked my reaction and I hope you have a great rest of your day
@@RobSquadReactions lol thanks. Bengals are the one AFC North team I don't hate 😂. Keep up the lit reactions and have a great day.
@@ms.dirtybird7779 the only dirty birds we yinzers hate are from Baltimore
Just going back through videos since finding your channel and saw this one! Love this song! One little twist in the song though.... the spark of hope. In every verse "nothing lasts forever in the cold november rain" but in the LAST verse "Nothing lasts forever, EVEN cold november rain", showing that moment of realization that just like good things have to end, bad things do too! As others have said, more GNR please!
It's your type of vibe and your is my type of reaction. Thanks for listen without interrupting. That is the good way to do a reaction.
Greetings from Argentina. 🙋🏻♂️🇦🇷🤝🏼🌎
The singer & piano name is Axel Rose. The fine young man on the guitar is Slash one of my favorite guitarist ❤
Estranged by Guns n Roses is a good one ( I love Slash’s guitar solo in this one), along with Don’t Cry
You always do well, Rob. Much appreciated.
My high school years! Sigh...Love, love, love GNR! Should listen to "Estranged". The lyrics, the guitar.
If you watch the entire video, it is self explanatory ! Axel Rose on vocals and piano. Slash is the guitar player. They both had feeling for the same woman .
I love that he totally got down with the song and still got the message and noticed all of the visuals
Every time I watch the video, I can't wait for the solo Slash(the guitarist) plays on the piano.
