Thank you for the explanatory video! Im learning tapestry crochet with you just to make the bee potholder, very cute designs! I think I will go for the pumpkin after. Thank you for sharing your work, God bless you!
I have ADDI hooks too. I rarely see them anymore. I’m so grateful for the way you explain how to carry the secondary yarn up through the rows. So helpful! This is exactly the information I was searching for EVERYWHERE..and you have it here - so thank you so much! Your patterns are just adorable as well. 😊
So happy I found your channel and your website! Your patterns are beautiful and the step by step instructions are excellent!! I just started fooling around with Intarsia but did not like to have to weave in all those tails! Thank you so much !
Let me know how it goes! I don't know how I came up with twisting the yarn that way but it does work! I also tried with Aran weight yarn to see if thicker yarn would create a bump in the fabric or something but it doesn't. So, now, I always change color like that on the wrong side :)
I really like your pattern and I think you explain great, thank you for the time you put into making it so light to follow :) One thing I kept asking myself all along is actually why should I carry the yarn all along? Why not join the yarn for the relevant rows and by that avoiding the "problems" that come with carrying the yarn for rows it's not used in? Doesn't it spend awful lot of yarn? So basically I think my question is.. what are the pros of working in this technique and why shouldn't I just join the yarn and weave in the ends when I finish? :) Thank you again for the pattern, I'm going to try it soon!
Hi, those are all good questions. Of course, you can totally drop the color you don't use and join it when it's needed. This way, you'd always be working with 1 strand of yarn. The main reason why I don't like cutting and joining yarn is that it leaves you with tons of ends to weave in (and I'm lazy 😅). Moreover, the potholder is not as thick and solid as when carrying the yarn. Of course for this there's a very easy solution, which is to back your potholder with cotton fabric or with another crochet layer so that it gets thick enough. Anyhow, in conclusion, totally feel free to use the crochet technique that you prefer :)
I have made all of the tapestry farmhouse potholders and found the tutorials very helpful. Do you or would you consider making a tutorial of the Candy Corn Dishcloth? Also, it appears that the pattern, etc. for the candy corn dishcloth has been removed from your site. Thank you
Hi, do you mean this one? raffamusadesigns.com/crochet-halloween-candy-corn-dishcloth/ I can still see it online... As for the video tutorial, I'll add it to my to-do list :)
Hi, I personally don't deal with them 😅 Every now and then, I just untwist them. However, there are ways to avoid the mess. One is this method by Atelier Sopra :) ateliersopra.com/en/keep-yarn-from-tangling/
Thank you 🤗 very soon, I'll be sharing a few more tapestry crochet potholders but made with Aran/worsted weight yarn. So, there will be fewer stitches and will work up a bit quicker. I'll make sure to send an email as soon as I have the first one ready 😃
Hi, normally, with two balls (1 for color 1 and 1 for color 2), I manage to make at least 2 potholders! Maybe for the second potholder, you might need to invert main and contrasting color, but you'll definitely have enough for 2.
Such beautiful work ❤
@@Honeybee-Hedgehog-Designs thank you :)
I made the mushroom potholder, just love it. I was going to share my potholder, but I don't see how to do this.
Thank you for the tutorial!!

What twist? Where do you see it - at what minute number? I can't find what you're talking about and would love to learn! Thank you
@@jfdc8432 hi, you can skip to minute 19! :)
@@RaffamusaDesigns Ah, I see! Thank you!! PS - you do beautiful work! And explain things very well. Thank you
I think your voice is lovely too ;)
Aww thank you, you're too sweet! I kind of cannot stand my Italian accent but after a few videos, I'm almost starting to accept it 😅

I hope I get better at hiding the other colors because my rooster looks a hot mess. 😁
Hi, are you using cotton yarn? I think cotton can really help especially when you're new to tapestry crochet...
And I think using a smaller hook helps to hide the colors within your project.
Hi what kind of yarn you use because I use red heart but I like that one you’re using thank you so much for teaching how to do it 😊🥰 thank you 🙏
Hi, this is Paintbox Yarns Cotton DK :)
Thank you 😊

Do you bundle them or just charge 3 plus for every one i love them vicky
I love the designs, but I wondered what size is the finished potholder?
Hi, they're about 7" (18 cm) with DK yarn and a 3.0 mm hook, or 6" (15 cm) with Sport weight yarn and a 2.75 mm hook :)
Thank you!
Hello! How do you deal with the two yarns twisting from their balls as you work?

Can this potholder be doubled - crochet a back and then crochet together?
Sure, definitely. Or you could sew some fabric on the back...

How many bills of both main and second color do you need in paintbox per potholder
Sorry balls

Would you do a custom pattern for me? I’d like ones of the state of Michigan
Hi Heather, I think I just replied to you on Etsy :)
Ziet er echt mooi uit maar zijn de patronen ook in het Nederlands?
Hi, I'm sorry but the patterns are only available in English for now...
How can I make one circular?🙌
Hi, I'm guess you're asking for a completely different pattern and I'm afraid I cannot help with a simple comment
I wants! But I would use cotton yarn.

Yes, definitely! I also use 100% cotton yarn :)
