I came here specifically to see the back of the tapestry - I care deeply about the hidden detail. It matters.

I had to laugh when you were talking about what kind of yarn do I use, what pattern do I do. That is exactly why I haven’t done any tapestry crochet yet! I’m so glad to have stumbled across this video. You have inspired me to just do it! Thank you!

I laughed out loud literally watching your video, I take everything I do way too seriously and can definitely identify with every point you made, thank you for giving me a realistic perspective and realizing I should be ok with not being a pro at everything i do on the very first try.

Hahaha HARD RELATE. I am learning to not get grumpy when I'm not immediately the best at things?! 😂 Wild!

The “fluff” is called halo… and you can get the acrylic to lay flat by steaming it… but don’t let the iron directly touch it (cus it can melt) but you can put a thick piece of fabric over and steam it… test a swatch first!

I have steamed it now, hooray! You don't notice the fluff so much when it's hung up so I've decided not to worry about it heheh. I never knew it was called that!!

I am on my first tapestry project too. I tried this a few days ago, but I lint rolled it and then I took an electric fabric/lint remover. But I would be scared of it catching knots or stray strings so I did the front and and went around on the back.
The reason I did this though was because the piece was covered in cat hair. 😂

Lint roller is a good idea!! This one now hangs up on our sunroom where my cats always hang out so it's probably covered in fur again 😂

I think just managing floats and balls of yarn without getting too tangled, and I can't count 😂😂😂

@@HeyItsMelB I'm a cross stitcher too and I can't count either 😅 reading charts is the worst part of the craft for me

Hi Joanne! This wasn't a tutorial just some things I learnt/would do differently with my next tapestry project 😊 I used 8 ply (~DK) acrylic yarn & a 5mm hook. Thanks for watching!

The video title is "learning tapestry crochet" not "tapestry crochet tutorial" lol
