Two Days On Nantucket

- I wanted to spend two days in Nantucket and could not find a video that gave a tour of the island so I made one of my two day trip. The island is beautiful in Spring with all the flowers and Cherry trees blooming but can be a bit cold. There are very few tourists on the island so you have the place to yourself!
Great. Thanks for this.
I honeymooned on Nantucket Island August 1989. It was magical. In all my travels, there was none other like it. We were at a little B&B and rented a double-seat moped. The Whaling Museum was fascinating. We wandered around a cemetery. We saw tombstones of the captains that had their beautiful oil portraits handing on the museum walls. If my memory serves me correctly, the Spanish Flu of 1918 hit the island hard. Many tombstones had 1918 as the year of death. I was hoping to make my way back there by myself summer 2021, but I read about the travel restrictions of doing a 14-day quarantine before being allowed on the island or paperwork to show proof of a negative COVID test within 72 hours prior to going to the island. I just watch the videos now. I don't think my dream of returning will ever happen now.
Best place on earth
Beautiful place, I would like to go there one day :-)
The correct way to pronounce a couple of the town names: Madaket=Madaget. Siasconset=Sconset ! I will not get into the other pronunciations of the many other names of parts of the island at this time, That concludes my lesson. Nice Video and footage. Something Natural is a Must when visiting the Island!! This from a guy who spent many summers on the island at my parents house in Madaket in Tristams Landing on Columbus Road.
Next time you go to Madaket and past the Ames Bridge be sure to check out the Crooked House on Mass ave. Fred Rogers' old vacation home.
Thank you I really enjoyed seeing somewhere I shall never be able to see in person. (UK)
Thanks for the video, there's so few of them and I really enjoyed it.
Terrific vlog !
Very Beautiful and serene
Thank you for posting. It was very nice to tour a place I’ve never been and live vicariously.
Thanks !! Your idea helps me a lot to plan a trip. Adorable video.
Nice video.I grew up on ACK and Hyannis..Living there and vacationing there are really really different.I live in FL now, but my heart and memories are still back on the rock.Still have lots of family there. Some natives so under appreciate the essecence and spirit of the" grey lady".My deceased mom's favorite childhood beach us Dionnis beach.Looking to head back in the summer to spread the rest of her ashes..Way too cold there for me now...Awesome video!
Can’t wait to start exploring again! Thanks for the wonderful inspiration!
LOVE THIS! I used to visit every summer with my family in the 1960s. It is still so much the same! Great to see. Thanks for the memories. I remember the Uncateena ferry boat, though, used to take 3-4 LOUD hours from Falmouth to get to Nantucket.
Great video! Thanks for taking the time to put it together. I’ve only been to Nantucket once and hope to visit again sometime soon!
Great job thank you, I only wish it was longer.
