Sir you are a wonderful builder and I have learned some building tricks from you built models my whole life never to old to learn new tricks though . God bless love your builds.
I just finished building the 57 Ford 2 in 1 kit a week ago for a co-worker for his father for Father's day so a lot of the parts are real familiar to me. The build went super together easily except for when I went to put the body on the chassis. The rear end is boxed off so it took a lot of massaging to get the body on but the plus was it fits so tight no glue was needed. I see the Gasser version is the same.
Hi and thanks again! Today i got this kit i remembered your build , Back on cars again , I have not built a gasser since i about 16 ! don,t laugh . ha ha . i,am , Your the man . Thanks jamie.
That Gasser came out great. Nice detail I love your builds and spin. I did my 57 Gasser and installed the Revell 427 Ford chrome engine accessory kit. I de-chromed it with purple power. I used the blown version and cut a hole in the hood. Found some 427 decals and it looks real cool.
I’m a model railroader/Lego enthusiast but watching your videos got me yearning to build some car/truck kits which I have not done in many years. You are an amazing model builder, cutting to the chase and rolling kits out Awesome channel you got here 👍👍👍😎😎😎
I enjoy your builds. You make the painting process very simple and straight forward, the fact that you must have a steady hand because your great attention to detail makes the models pop nicely. Big thumbs up!
A cool model I can see as a model of the second '57 Ford as used in the movie 1958 "Thunder Road", with Robert Mitchum. Robert Mitchum's character, Like Doolin has a highway dual with Kogan's henchman and driver driving a Black '57 Ford. Thank you again, as after watching your excellent video, I'll be buying this kit.
You make building models look so easy. I know I take a hell of alot longer to build a kit. I don't usually use spray cans so it takes a while for me to brush paint everything.
Thanks man! There is no right speed or anything to make a model. As long as you are having fun that's all that matters. Enjoy the hobby and build for yourself, your way.
Turned out beautiful. After a 55 year hiatus, I started building models again thanks to following you. I have a lot of techniques to learn. When you paint parts on the trees, how do you cover bare spots when part is removed from tree? Also I have a paint booth ordered. How does filter hold up, when using spray cans? At my age (70), don't want to start learning airbrushing techniques. Thank you.
I have to change the filter every 6-8 kits. I use aquarium blue floss, works great and is cheap in rolls. I touch up the sprue spots with some paint from the can sprayed in a cup and dabbed on.
instead of painting the windows i found a package of colored cellophane lay it on the glass on both sides cut to fit. works pretty good :) using it for all my gassers
I swear, you are the best plastic guy anywhere. All of your plastic kits, when finished, look just like diecast cars. I got to wonder how big is your spare parts box getting?
Thanks! I don't save everything but it's got about 30 sprues in it and about two dozen tires. I recycle anything I don't think I'll ever use. I have bunches of sheets of decals though, those always get used at some point so I never throw spare decals out.
As in recycle bin, so they can be made into a new model. I don't have the space or time to store everything left over, just the stuff I have a good chance of using.
Hey Chris that, looks great good buddy!!! Looking forward to building one of these babies myself!!! To this day I, still have not built a 57 Ford model... One of these days!!!
If you take that spare tire well and cut one third off one end, turn it over and cap off the bottom, then you have a really cool blower scoop,,,, try it you'll like it
This is a really neat kit and you did a great job on it. Revell has always made some great model kits and this is no exception. Thanks for sharing this.
Funny that yellow Willy's in the box art, I have that model. I built it as a hot rod instead of a gasser back in the mid 90's and a kit where everything opens up which you do not see anymore. Used a 53 corvette grill on it, fit perfectly too. This kit looks really nice and it too feels like a good kit to do a hot rod or "resto mod" as is coined now days.
Hey man I'm in the middle of this build I hope it comes out as good as yours. I haven't built a model in 30 years I just remember having so much fun building as a kid.
Thanks! It's all about the fun, even when we screw up. You can gt it back, assemble a kit and don't sweat the tiny details, just relax and have a good time.
Love the Spring Green and the white two tone look Chris ! I think a two tone paint job always looks best on any 1950's car. I have only built one Gasser to my credit. It was an older kit from Revelle. It was a 55 Chevy Bel-Air Gasser even though the box didn't say it was a Gasser. I definitely want to build more Gassers. I hope one day Revelle re-issues the 55 Chevy Gasser I had maybe with some new tooling and extra goodies or something, because believe it or not, someone stole my 55 Chevy Gasser from my collection.
Always like theses cars can't wait to get started on mine think i may do a pro touring car outta mine very nice build Chris i enjoy your channel sir thanks for sharing with us
SWEET 57' Gasser! I'm so impressed with that kit and the version you built here Chris, I just bought one on eBay right before posting my comment. I have the wagon version and the AMT 57' Ford Hardtop "Flashback" kit. Both are still in the box on my shelves with the rest of my modest collection of kits until I get around to building those. My current project is a 1/25 scale Peterbilt "California Hauler" with the AMT lowboy trailer and the new release of AMT's bulldozer kit by Round2 models but the re-release doesn't say "Caterpillar" cuz I guess there was a copyright issue from my understanding. I have two custom kits for the Peterbilt, the AMT chrome Mercury sleeper and I got the Italeri truck accessories kit that has the hydraulic boom that is mounted behind the sleeper. I had to cut and extend the frame of the Pete to get all of that to fit but it all worked out I have one seriously mean lookin' heavy hauler rig with the lowboy and bulldozer for a sweet looking model kit.
Superb awesome superb excellent superb outstanding incredible fantastic remarkable amazing great stunning stupendous jaw dropping eye popping job you did on that beautiful model keep up great work as always.
Stunning build Chris!! I love the shadow effect on the interior and chassis, very realistic! Can't wait to get my hands on this kit! Your presentation rocks, as always!!
That "kid's circle maker" is a circle template for draftsmen. You use it to draw circles instead of having to use a compass. I used to design airplanes with them.
This is awesome. You should build a garage intirior - great for the vehicle lift and tow trucks you have - and you could pain up some of the spare parts you have and have them on display as 'parts' for the vehicles that need repair. Would be awesome
What a great job brutha! You know, thanks again for the advice a couple of weeks ago about painting process. I now use my paintbooth and have had no problems! When I do my version of this car, I will paint mine matallic maroon. Really cool video, still love the music during the paint process!
Very good job! I like the details you accented well. The green was the right choice in my book and the rim job was a smooth idea. I know this was strictly about the 57 Ford but would've looked sweet on pole position with the 57 Chevy. Thanks for the build. "Real vibe man"
Very good review Chris! While Gassers are not my type of building, I can certain appreciate the detail and techniques you use to build yours! 👍 ‘57 Fords are one of those cars I can remember seeing when I first knew what a car was (early ‘60’s). A next door neighbor had one and I always thought the car had the appearance of looking up at you with those headlight “eyebrows”. 😁 Thanks for the review and now I’ll have to look out for this kit as I’d like to build the stock one sometime.
Thanks for spending some of your day with us at the Workshop and leaving a nice comment! If you haven't already, come join the fun on Facebook at hpiguys Workshop
Well you just sold me on more than a few of these 57s. Now I don't have to part out my Fireball Roberts and wagon kits lol. The only place they missed the mark is that tiny engine. Come on Revell, you guys KNOW you want to shove a cammer in there!
Ausom job as always. You have me picking up the hobby again. I'm 63 years old and now I have a new hobby thanks
Great model!!! GASSERS my personal favorite!! Doing a 56 Chevy gasser myself.
This is a cool kit!
They should all be offered this way!
Separate frame,many separate details!!
I always watch your videos when I need to calm down. You have no idea how much it helps.
Thanks, and enjoy!

I slid the back up and in first, then closed it like a clam shell.

Adding this to my want list, love how you built this

You did this just right. Excellent choices made in the mix. I'm going to check out my local Hobby Lobby and hopefully they have this one.
Thank you!

Thanks Kris!

I'm Curious Chris,, in What Way do You "Recycle" Your Parts ?? Trade/Sell ??
As in recycle bin, so they can be made into a new model. I don't have the space or time to store everything left over, just the stuff I have a good chance of using.
Old man green huh? Old Guys Rule. Great builld Chris, this grey old fox has learned some new skills. Keep up the great work.
Thanks Bob!
Hey Chris that, looks great good buddy!!! Looking forward to building one of these babies myself!!! To this day I, still have not built a 57 Ford model... One of these days!!!
Thanks a bunch! Grab this kit and get to gluin!
Nice job, really like the green and white for sure, sweet.
Thank you! Cheers!

Thanks Gordon!
Looks great. Nice work ! Lots of memories there.
Thanks 👍

It will look awesome with the 57 Chevy with their front ends up in the air! You must have a Christmas tree. Great work!
That would be cool!
Hey man I'm in the middle of this build I hope it comes out as good as yours. I haven't built a model in 30 years I just remember having so much fun building as a kid.
You can do it!
Great build. Like the way you keep things moving along in the video. Also like the simple style of construction and paint.
Thanks man, too bad YT has deleted some of the free music they offer, making some of my builds go silent in those parts.
You can't beat an old gasser ! ✌😎
It's a fun kit!
Really awesome build Chris love the green and white.
Thanks a lot Charlie!
@@hpiguy you're welcome

That "kid's circle maker" is a circle template for draftsmen. You use it to draw circles instead of having to use a compass. I used to design airplanes with them.
