I need to remove my passenger side cam to replace all of the rockers and liftets on that side. Does the cam have to be in a particular position before slowly loosening the cam caps? I will be using the wedge tool to hold the chain and of course install a new phaser bolt.
@@alb12345672 I’m only asking because I’m doing my passenger side an it’s my first time idk if I need the compressor tool or not but I’m taking cams out seems more easier
@@mustangaddict589 If you do one or two, the compressor is a good idea. For a whole side, probably the cam is a better idea, but the tool could work too. Pretty tight to fish them out. BTW, the TSB says to replace all of them, but the pass side is priority.
@@alb12345672 thank you very much sir an yeah I asked 3v mustang group there’s no need for compressor if cams are coming out. As far as why I’m only doing passenger side I got this car with 210k miles neglected it squeaks from that side when warming up then goes away I don’t want to be out a engine it’s currently my daily driver but I’m ordering cams Thursday when they come I’ll do the other side as well. Thanks for the video sir
@@mustangaddict589 100% do all rockers. I have this engine in an Explorer, also the 4.6L is much more reliable than the 5.4 he is doing in the vid. For some reason they just are. You could probably get another 150-200K out of it. Do 3k oil changes with 5w30 penzoil platnium. Take the belt off when you start i to see if you have any bad accessories making the squeak.

I’m in the same boat! Have you found anything out yet??
Super
Great job 👍
How much did you take for spare parts?
It cost us 1800 SAR in aljazira
You didn’t use a tool to compress the valve when installing new rockers arms?
it would take forever to do all 24.
