I miss the daily uploads. This isn't a complaint nor a demand, I just saw the video on my suggestions and made me happy. Which made me think of when there was a daily thing. Hope we get plenty of content for a long time, in a way that is sustainable for you and makes you happy 😊
As an air spammer well known as Protoss I needed to say one thing. Don’t air spam as Protoss did. We aren’t in the Operation Desert Storm, the use of Air Force can’t win a battle alone (even in DS a land manœuver was needed to obtain the victory). In military operations as in sd2. The bots on the ground win battles and wars. The Air spam is an accelerator of your victory that you gain on the ground. You cannot forget a combined arms force to keep the ground and also exploit your air strikes. An airstrike needs to have a goal for your forces. Furthermore, Attrition war can be done against a player who plays the same income. And an Attrition war can’t be based only on Air Force. For me this game gives an excellent lesson Air can’t make you win. Also Borry played well in terms of macro as he had to in a such situation. He sacrificied his 1st BRO to allow the allied reinforcements to enter in Normandy bocage. However Protoss was impressive with his Air force in term of micro and preservation of his assets.
should have gotten more aircraft. Dont enjoy the ground play in SD2 anymore, but the Airplay is still a lot of fun :D both Borry and I already had a 8h work day + 2 games behind us at this points. Both of us were sloppy Af at this point, but it was a fun game.
Fantastic game. Protoss playing his classic. Controlling that many planes is hard to micro. Great job by Borry to take advantage of the lack of ground forces in B to get ahead. Strange to see neither side bringing bazookas or pzschreks. Well Borry had 2 with the leaders, but other than that no inf AT😄
I think he expected the light armor of italians to be easy to take out with Shermans, but didn't predict the absolute air superiority to happen which allowed Ju87s to make shooting gallery out of them
@@czwarty7878 Yes but it is almost always worth having bazooka units available. While the shermans can deal with the light armour, light armour is cheap and you can spam them around in lots of places, you might not always have a Sherman around and it is not the most cost effective option either if it's just one light tank. It is also slower and depending on the situation you might risk a sherman getting to close to your opponents bazooka range. Also if the Ju87 doesn't kill them the shermans can still die to AT guns and othrt things.
100% one of the top 3 games casted in my books! If only the income was balanced Protos might've pulled this out of the bag. Some serious micro there with air, very much old school thinking back watching his personal YT videos. Nice one mate, GGWP to both Protos and Bory
Zamn the only mistake but a crucial one is bringing only one JU 87. If borry had shot it down at the beggining it would for sure be an L. But if Prot had 3 if them he'd easily win
I love US 1st Infantry, its only held back by some phase locking and bad/medium resilience reliant air tab, and its heavy reliance on supply for the APCR and Long Toms. The free vetted M5 guns are fantastic as they can annihilate basically any tank in the game apart from tiger 2 H from the front as long as you keep the Supply going, the only trouble you run into with it is sometimes the supply trucks arent always super reliable when resupplying your units that are heavily reliant on the APCR especially to keep them firing at 2k range, i think this is due to suppression but sometimes even when not being shot at they are a bit iffy at resupplying. But the American HVAP shell or whatever its called doesnt loose penetration with range if im not mistaken and with 185m of pen, it feels awesome especially with the free vet. You also get free vet on the rest of your AT tab. It has all the 2kHE you could possibly want, static or mechanized. The assault infantry are pretty powerful and can really perform in a number of different scenarios, full green cover CQC, Town fights etc. The number of times my Assault Teams have slapped around Axis CQC in green cover, which on paper doesn't look like it should be the case as they dont have any SMGs and really are just a rifle team with a flamethrower, but for some reason i find they perform pretty well, especially for poking out of cover, firing their rifles and Bars, to add suppression on to an enemy's push, and then retreating into cover to smack them around. The assault busters overperform for me at all the time also. Whats also overlooked is having all A phase amphibious transports has allowed me to do some pretty cool early game pushes over water. I think the only downfall is you are heavily reliant on your assault leader and their bazooka for Phase A as you cant get AT tab bazookas until B, meaning i never get to use the engineer leader which is a bit of a shame. You can take the m16s as 30pt transports for your A-phase Bofors instead of the usual 60pts and a slot cost in the AA tab, and they are awesome for infantry support especially in yellow cover. The free vet on the M2A1 howitzers is awesome also, once you have get a group of them, they feel really powerful with radio. Against armoured or soft targets it does the job really well. The HE rocket A-20 planes are pretty decent also, and im not usually a fan of HE rocket planes. This division plays really well in small games and 10v10s and everything in between, it just works for everything.
Garands with BARs make US squads very good in CQC actually and people often seem to forget about that. Two BARs and full set of Garands make them have such DPS that they can keep up with squads that have 1-4 SMGs with bolt actions, and they only lose vs specialised SMG squads
Epic play by both players. Alpine recruit are so bad. Chauchat might as well not exist. Next to no suppression or DPS. If he just had the inf squads with mg34/42 with no vet he would of run a lot more inf fights.
looking forward to casting Season 12 games. Just not super hype about playing SD2 anymore and I dont have the time I had back in 2022 to play both WARNO- and SD2 at the same time . :D
@@sd_league I like scale and speed more in 44 too, but Warno lacks all the mechanics that make SD so fun. I think they can fix that by introducing surrenders and sector Frontline capture from sd44. But casino airplay will sadly never change
Not if your opponent knows the counters. If Borry had either shot down the Ju-88 rather than going for fw-190s with his fighters or had brought his AA together rather than piecemeal the airspam would have been less impactful. Not too take any credit from Borry, he is a great player and airspam hasn't been meta for a long time.

It can work on team games if your team mates can help you with extra ground forces. You are right, it is fairly micro-intensive as a tactic.
We see Borry didnt know about the old protoss matchup. When playing him you just want a division great at dealing with air and in general thats half the game won. This div though is on the opposite side of that spectra. But once you lost airwar this hard you just want to spam cheap stuff spread out to hold flags like Borry did. Seems he ran out of stuff in the end of the game though which almost cost him the game.
I always considered 1st Inf to be a worse version of the 2nd Inf, and I feel there is no reason to pick it over the latter. Unless I'm missing something.
@@ElpredatorGYROUpvetting his aa would not have saved borry here (but it does help). His big mistake was bringing his aa one by one and isolated. What you need to do if you get aurspammed like this is have your aa focused in one area and go from there. That way your aa guns can support each other and if your oponent tries to get in he will likely loose a plane. It also means thatif the situation allows for it you can bring out fighters again to help because your aa generates a safe zone for them. But you have to do this early enough.
@JaapaasaSD2 18 inf in C is def not enough for Balanced. You get around 5000 points to spend in C, 18 infantry is barely 10%, 9 tanks is 720. I think he'll run out by 45m completely
@@tedarcher9120 You need to look at the total infantry number not just the card in C. With how much he had 18 in C is 100% ok for a 50min TL. I would build it differently but the numbers aren't a problem here.
It was Mav v Bal, you don't normally need anymore than 80 inf against a mav player because you'll (most of the time) win the long game... This was definitely not a normal match though!
@@ElpredatorGYRO I am really not. I didnt spam the FW, Tempests and Typhoons back in the day, those werent my divisions. I used dedicated ground attack aircraft (ju87, Il2) when I idid or cheap bombers.

Yes and soo many situations where the bazookas would have been very useful. A major mistake imo.

Upvetted AA is the key.
It went downhill cause the first Bofors was too far forward. Without this mistake, the game was over straight away.
