Does it help to minimize pore size? When I used TO niacinamide my skin barrier was healthy and less sensitive so it didn’t irritate my skin and helped minimize pore size overtime. But now my skin isn’t at its best. TO niacinamide gives burning sensation to my face :( but I want something to help minimize pores and sebum regulation

Kelly what about the Paula’s Choice?
I have been using Niacinamide from the Ordinary for long time now. I agree about the texture, what I do is not rubbing it on my skin too much. I also notice that it doesn’t peel off when the product is newly opened, but when you get to like 1/4 of the bottle. It last long time! I only need three drop.
I used one bottle of Paula’s Choice sometime ago, it definitely brightened my skin, but the effect seems to go away after stop using it.

Well well, Niacinamide ... the ingredient my dry, dehydrated and sensitive skin hates and can't tolerate in any percentages.... Always gives me that stinging, drying feeling that my barrier is just being destroyed🙈
Thank you for mentioning, that Niacinamide can be irritating (even thouhg in my case and some other peoples cases it happens in lower percentages too - for example I can't even use sunscreens that contain Niacinamide... which is in a lot of Korean ones...). I rarely hear any youtber admit that. (Also funny, that I commented just that on your last video...) I find your overall "more is not always better" approach to this and for example acids very sensible. Big thumbs up for that. (And yes I even watched a whole video on an ingredient I can't even use🤣🤣🤣 Your videos are always very informative, in-dept and somehow I even find them very relaxing and calming...and they really help me in my jorney to finding the right products for my skins needs.)
Additionally, I've also got a question (for you and the other commenters). What are the alternatives to Niacinamide? From this video I can definitely get the information that propolis and sea buckthorn water are good for brightening purposes and galactomyces are good for reducing the apperance of pores. From my own experience I know that everything related to Madecassoside is good for calming acne. Does anyone have other tips for alternatives? (And I'll exclude direct L-Ascorbic Acid and Arbutin from this question since they seem to be more irritating than Niacinamide itself so I don't really want to try them...)

Hi Kelly... firstly, love your videos... very informative and educational. I already purchased several products based on your reviews and very happy with them. My question is on your opinion about The Inkey List Niacinamide. I love it and use it daily. It’s 10% and great for my oily skin. I noticed amazing brightening results in addition to oil regulation. It layers up great with face cream and leaves a healthy glow. Would love to hear your input on it. Thanks so much in advance! 🙏❤️

Although everything I've tried from the ordinary worked for me (Lactic acid, Peeling solution, azelaic acid, hyaluronic acid), the Niacinamide did not work and made me break out in hives with white bumps. I'm guessing it's because of the zinc. If anyone had the same experience with the TO niacinamide, try the Inkey List one. Been working wonders so far.

I have sensitive dry skin, but my skin seems to looove niacinamide. I started with the 10% niacinamide booster from Paula’s Choice and got incredible results (also prob bc my skin was not great as a starting point!) with brightening up my complexion and reducing the appearance of large pores. Then I went through about 3 bottles of the Tia’M formulation and while I didn’t see as dramatic of a change, it nicely maintained my results and played so well with my other layered products. I never found it irritating or too drying, but I also use a ton of hydrating and moisturizing products in my routine that might mask that effect. Right now I’m no longer using a niacinamide-focused product in my routine, but several of my products contain niacinamide in the 2-5% range, so I think I’m covered.
