Coming to you live from Central City! There appears to be a malfunction with all electronics. Traffic lights are all green, TVs are smoking, and microwaves are beeping nonstop. Can Sonic the Hedgehog save us by lunchtime? I need to warm up my burrito! Stay tuned! Sonic and Tails race to Central City to stop Surge’s rampage, but they’re no match for her this time around.

So I’m guessing the next issue, Eggman is now after Surge and Kit. Let’s hope that Sonic and Tails will reach in time.

What makes this funny for me is that; this puts Surge, herself, in a situation where not just Eggman, but Metal Sonic, Sonic and Tails are after her. Like she has just ticked them all off by now.
Sonic and Tails may fight Eggman and Metal simultaneously, against Surge and Kit just to get them out of the picture. [In a simular manner to the final boss fight in Sonuc Mania].
He's the fastest thing alive! Thats like asking if Knuckles will be relevant 24/7. You already know baby!

As twisted as it is... Kit does seem to genuinely care about Surge, and she seems to feel the same way.
So, anyone mad that Kit went back to Surge, like they said they would? Because I'm certainly not; I was in fact hoping it would happen. This issue proves that Surge DOES INDEED care about Kit. She KNOWS she needs him; with what Starline did to them, Kit is the only one she can count on to be by her side no matter how far she falls into insanity.
Not mad, just disappointed. Because it means that he'll allow himself to sink just as low as Surge is. They're not like Sonic's previous adversaries, who had a vision or a goal. They're rabid dogs who want nothing but to cause destruction and death wherever they go.
There comes a point where someone is beyond help, and the best thing you can do for them is ensure they can't hurt anyone... ever again.
I knew it that,she cared about kit. I want them to still keep the brother sister dynamic alive, because we don’t see many villains,with that dynamic.
@@sonicfan82 there's no sibling dynamic between the two. They only come together out of necessity. Surge because she needs Kit's power, Kit because he's psychologically compelled to serve her. Do not mistake what Starline programmed into them as love and companionship. It is a cheap imitation of it.

Sonic and friends would be hypocrites if they killed villains in their age group with such haste! Unless they have no other choice, they need to avoid killing them at all costs! You are SEVERELY messed up in the head if you think Sonic needs to kill Surge and Kit more than he does Eggman, Metal Sonic or the Deadly Six!

That was a venomous stare Kit gave Tails though. Seems like he's realized just what the bar he was meant to emulate was set at.
I'd say they're more like Sonic and Tails, with the sole difference being that they are villainous.
@@videogollumer they're more like caricatures. Starline didn't actually know what made Sonic and Tails work, and he only imprinted what he thought he saw. That's why Surge is a wreckless punk and Kit is weak-willed and overly dependent. Since he didn't have anything actually planned beyond that, they're still feeling out what their personalities actually are.
This is also why Kit seems to have recognized as far as sidekicks go, Tails is better than he is.
@@Asher_Tye Yeah, but that's just it. They've become more than what Starline brainwashed them to be. Kit has been shown capable of deciding to help people other than Surge, and that was before Sonic told him that he mistakenly thought he saw Surge die. Surge has shown to actually have fondness for Kit. These traits were not part of Starline's brainwashing. What I meant is that more so than evil twins, Surge and Kit's relationship has become more like Sonic and Tails' brotherhood.
@@videogollumer we'll have to see about that. At this point all they have is each other so it's not like Surge has other options. And the moment Surge was revealed to be alive all Kit's willingness to help others went flying out the window as he reverted to type. They're still following the same basic instincts they had before; Surge wants to destroy Sonic (something she can't do without back up) and Kit wants to be with Surge (which he inevitably falls back into because she's there).
Add into that SOMETHING is going on in Surge's head with regards to that latent image of Starline bugging her. Kit seems to be what helps keep that under control.

Kit going back to Surge was like a brother/sister reunion........ which was quickly met with brotherly rage from kit...........They need a happy ending

I do hope Surge and Kit get redemption arcs someday, it’s clear they’re just teens suffering from serious trauma… they deserve a happy ending.
Surge is a teen; Kit is a child. judging by their looks and sizes; I'd estimate that Surge is 14 while Kit is 7.
They probably will, then Sonic will continue letting actual evil people do as they please without consequences and create more Surge & Kit to « turn good ». Hence and repeat for probably the end of time. Ugh

12:06-12:23 The best example of kit showing care for surge, and surge afterwards,showing care for kit. I knew it,that little gremlin just doesn’t know how to show her feelings to Kit. I just hope these illusions, are going to be put to a stop for her,because she has went through enough, and I don’t want to see Kit get hurt.
Surges spiral kinda reminds me of Catra from She Ra and the Princesses of Power.
She has lossed the only authority figure she had (even if it was abusive Starline was basically raising them from the ground up after he brainwashed them) and started grasping for power to find some stability, her habits with Kit pushing him away without her realizing it. Her brain is on hyperdrive once Starline is out of the picture, it only says one thing and that is "Kill Sonic, make the world see them". She may still have made a new plan with Kit, but no matter what that plan they made still gets Starline what he wanted. That being Sonic out of the picture. Her urge to prove herself to be more powerful than Sonic gives her credit for is a twisted version of Starlines same mentality with Eggman.
The "I can be better than you ever were, you will regret all your mistakes" mentality. Surge is Sonics morality foil personified
Once she gets Kit back his seemingly unreasonable care for her anchors her when the toxic mentality shes been using the whole time takes a toll on her health. Theyre relationship isnt healthy, but its familiar. Kits semifriendship with Tails gave him clarity whether he knows it or not, and that could be what helps redeem Surge.
Im excited to see where Surges story goes, even if she remains an antagonist her character has me hooked xD
Unlike Catra Surge is slightly more sympathetic and actually starts to warm up to Kit more quickly.

Wow I just love how emotional this comic is even with out and audio the part were surge is having a bit of a panic attack from her hallucinations and then she starts crying just just feel bad for her
Kit thought Sonic was lying and tried to attack him. Guess like the prediction were right. I feel a bit sympathy for Surge her suffering cause of Starline but she better reflect on what she did to Whisper cause I'm pretty sure Whisper is going to kill her.
Also I knew that Dynamo amp wasn't gonna last long. She may be more powerful than before due to it but wits, experienced and assistance is what she couldn't handle. Someone believes power dominates everything is blind to everything else.
Well the best the cast can do is stop them once and for all

Sonic does have the heart to kill (not in this series at least). But Whisper? If Tangle wasn't there to stop her, she'd probably do it with a smile.
Not with Kit around, she won't. If she, somehow, killed Surge while Kit is around; she'd be taking a page out of Eggman and Mimic's book. Regardless of what Starline did to their brains; this issue pretty much solidifies that Surge and Kit DO truly care about each other. How could Whisper take someone else's friend's life when someone took the lives of her own friends?
@@videogollumer She almost killed Mimic. She was about to kill Eggman. The only reason why she didn't was because Tangle and Cream were there to stop her. People she considered friends stopped her, something she doesn't share with Kit. She does have the heart of a killer, and she will kill if she deems it necessary. If she is stopped, it will be because either Tails or Belle stop her.
@@kingcamelot1395 Whisper is not heartless! She's not going to kill a little kid's big sister figure, even if she IS evil! She'd be a hypocrite if she did, and she knows it! Besides, even if she did try to kill Surge with Kit around, Kit would still be the one to stop her, because he goes berserk every time Surge is or seems to be on the ropes! Furthermore, Whisper can still get her Wisps back; she can't UN-KILL Surge.
Its ok whisper they will bring your friends back. The part with surge and kit at starlines base they are like siblings and starline ruined them. He always comes back. See what I did there
I enjoyed reading this Issue where Surge use her eyes 👀 like laser beams to attack Sonic with. I like reading your thoughts as well which you mentioned about Dr Starline ruined them 😊
@@MikeTheHedgehog yeah, but that Dynamo Cage is leeching both Surge's life and sanity. If she doesn't get it off soon, she'll die. I hate to say it, but I don't think it's about stopping Surge anymore. I think...I think it's now about saving her. And Sonic and Tails can't do it alone. If they are going to get that Dynamo off of her, free the wisps and save her life BEFORE she unintentionally ends her own life... Then they are gonna need some unlikely help from the one person that both Sonic and Surge hate more than any villain in the world. That person... Is...

Surge will continue to evolve as a rival to the main character like Wario, and Kit will also grow to be her best companion.And it is unclear what the evil spirits or hallucinations of Starline will cause in the future. Hmm

Man on man, Surge got her revenge on Sonic for sure, even using Cyan Laser to attack her only for Surge to snag Cyan Wisp, hunt down Sonic using Cyan Laser eyes, Kit came to Surge’s aid while she was out, even though she controls all forms of static electricity, Sonic lied to Kit attacking him realizing what he saw, Surge nearly died, gained consciousness, Surge & Kit back to a duo, not for long in 55 & 56 conclusion. 56 Sonic vs Surge vs Metal Sonic final clash Dec 28!

What he saw in 54 had him in disarray, seeing Surge taken out, Sonic tell did Kit the truth, Kit attacks Sonic realized he got stabbed in the back, Kit’s allegiance for now is with Surge, but Kit’s not aware Surge has the Wisps in Dynamo Cage, let alone Surge isn’t aware Kit aligned with Sonic & crew, for now back together, in 55 & 56 that all changes, Sonic vs Surge vs Metal Sonic final clash, finale to end this amazing new rivalry.
Sonic & crew have to rescue the Wisps from LiveWire Surge, who has the Dynamo Cage & still wants to get revenge on Sonic like in 54 here, Surge needs time to rejuvenate & avoid trauma from late Starline, she knows the task at hand, but the lean, mean & green electric speedster will stop at nothing to murder Sonic for good, but that ends when it comes down to conclusion of another historic clash, Sonic Vs Surge vs Metal Sonic will be absolutely epic in 56.

@@playerback7722 Surge survived the fall for sure after milestone clash in 50, Sonic & Kit thought she was done for, both at first realized she is out there, Sonic told Kit what happened to Surge & Starline, Sonic in disarray realized at first Surge was alive & made good on her behalf getting revenge Vs Sonic, which she did in 54, Sonic & Tails lured her to a basement, leading to Surge being electrocuted realizing she controls any forms of electricity 🟢⚡️ leading her to be fried on short circuit & nearly being killed, Kit now witnessed Surge still alive & passed out, Kit came to Surge’s aid feeling stabbed in the back said Sonic lied leading to his attack on him, Sonic & Tails were trying to reason with Kit, didn’t want to fight him, Kit rescued Surge as Duo are back together at Starline Base Sigma needing time to recover. Surge is still traumatized by Starline’s ghosts, Sonic, Tails & Whisper must save Wisps from Surge’s dynamo cage, Metal Sonic & Eggman are on their trail, Surge & Kit look to stay intact exacting revenge on Sonic still, won’t last long in 55-56. Surge didn’t tell Kit she has the Wisps, Kit didn’t tell Surge he was aiding Sonic, Surge is going to end up dead or alive in 55-56, Kit’s fate will be determined, another Final clash in Dec Sonic vs Surge vs Metal Sonic. Kit remains neutral for now, may have shown his true colors attacking Sonic or did he realizing the bigger picture.

Eggman has something planned now after seeing Surge in action. Thats how he works after all. He and Metal are going after something to build a new weapon IDK XD! Regardless I figured Kit would go back to Surge as hes been basically brainwashed to do that. Starline even in death is haunting Surge. I legit feel kinda bad for her seeing him basically telling her hes her pet and I made u this way and u will always be my experiment.
Seeing her actually cry for the first time made me a little sad for her again. I can tell shes been through alot poor girl. Always trying to improve with every training fight but always losing them to then win again afterwards. Shes legit terrified of Starline and what he can and did to her and kit.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts 💭 on Issue 54. I to agree with you that Eggman Is up to something and Metal Sonic as well. Both Surge & Kit have been through a lot lately like you mentioned. Starline really messed these 2 up in the head and Surge even said they werent made from the ground up they did have normal lives before he ruined them.

Probably the twist is Starline implanted Some of his cells inside Surge probably eventually the Surge personality disappears and becomes Starline completely

I’ve just been going through the comic about the wisp you mentioned. And Sonic says to whisper we’re gonna get your wisps back promise. So that Implies to me that they have not die I believe.

She's just fine like nothing happened throughout this entire issue, as if just the sympathy of her Wisps being taken would be enough to sell the pity parade they constantly use to emotionally manipulate us into liking their OC. Sorry, but no dice from me, author, if you can't even allow your precious Whisper who has no special powers to not have any lasting injuries

She is genuinely warming up to him for real now even though the comic makes it hard to believe that since she didn't have a single thought bubble about him since we saw her revive issues prior. Maybe now she won't take him for granted or she needs another push.

So either hunched over with stick or having her arm over tails' shoulder is what I mean. Actually show she's still in pain since her beat down was literally minutes ago... She had her rib cage stomped and busted her spine TWICE! Don't give me that nonsense that "Tails was there". With the way she looks he might as well not be there. Comics are a visual medium and this one just isn't communicating whisper got the beat down of her life by a super speedster who doesn't hold back like sonic does.

Is she stronger than sonic now? See where I'm going with this? It doesn't make any sense!
Whisper basically civilian level like the mooks that Zavok "killed" in zeti hunt. You think him wailing on whisper should be something she can just walk off? Even tangle is arguably more durable compared to whisper who seem to have an indestructible and super elastic tail at least. Lets just ignore Zavok basically giving her an concussion for a moment because that was nonsense, too. You really can't rationalize whisper was as tough as she was with surge other than plot armor and or favoritism. For gosh sakes when she taken back home to tails shop she not wearing a single bandage.
Now that I think about it I guess there no real consequences for anybody in this book unless the plot demands it, dissolving anything of tension. No reason to get worried way weaker beings like whisper or tangle fighting evil bad guys as strong as knuckles when they can't hurt them.

I respect your thoughts 💭 everyone has different opinions on each IDW Sonic comics and different views as well of there own. I enjoy reading everyone’s thoughts and discussing about the issues as well.

Yeah, it's not like Sonic's poor sense of judgment as to whether someone is dead or not had anything to do with it; nor did his leg injury, which he got from the ship crash, which was caused by Metal Sonic, who was only able to do it because Belle repaired him and Sonic gave her the okay, despite Tails' protests. Also, he was the one who brought Metal to be repaired the first time and let him go which allowed him to turn Mr. Tinker back into Eggman in the first place, among other things. I'm sorry, but Sonic's got no one to blame but Sonic. He brought it on himself and a lot more on everyone around him. Our hero, ladies and gentlemen! 😒

Eggman literally caused a zombie apocalypse, killed the Diamond Cutters, enslaved both the Zeti and the Wisps yet he gets off scot free all the time plus let's not forget Shadow (whose has a lot in common with Surge and Kit) tried to blow up the planet in the past.
Saying characters are "rabbid dogs" and should die (for way less than other characters have gotten away with) just because they don't meet your own moral standards is far more dangerous than Surge and Kit.
In Sonic's own words: "If he (Eggman) can't be forgiven, can you? (Shadow)".
Or at least assess the fact that you wish for harsher punishment over lesser crimes.
Shadow knows his past. Surge and Kit don't and didn't even try to figure it out.

@@swagxd3970 Just shows that Sonic has become too overconfident, even for himself. That's why people are LIKING the fact that he's been getting leg injuries of late. Sonic feels like he's untouchable with his super-speed; take that away from him, and his demeanor takes a one-eighty. His "invisible force field" is down because he knows that he's now MUCH more vulnerable. It's times like these that Sonic's courage is TRULY put to the test. He is no longer fearless, but fearlessness and bravery are two different things. Fearlessness means you have no or show no fear; bravery means that you do something for your or someone else's betterment INSPITE of the fact that you HAVE fear. When Sonic is in such a humbled position, he actually FEELS like a character, like his friends, instead of just like a conduit through his friends provide support in order to get things done.
He thought her getting crushed by debris killed her. He doesn't know Surge and Kit were made with bits of the metal virus in them, allowing them to regenerate and recover quickly.
@@xdman0289 He only mentioned the fall in this issue; besides, if he didn't think the fall alone killed her, he could have accounted for the possibility that she MIGHT have gotten out before the building collapsed.
@@videogollumer I'm talking about issue 50 specifically. When he reunited with Tails and Belle, and retold their stories, Sonic believed she fell and was crushed. I've noticed that being crushed in this comic seems to be considered lethal to these characters. Kit thought Surge was gravely injured when she was crushed by that robot in Imposter syndrome, only to be shocked to see she was fine....even Surge was surprised. Belle saw Starline get crushed by debree, convinced he's dead, and now Sonic saw the same with Surge, saying no one could've survived that. She probably would've shared Starline's fate if it wasn't for her experiments and enhancements
