I had goosebumps the entire time

I really do like this issue a lot. I don't know where to begin. I guess I can start with the Phantom Rider. So I love how they revivals the Phantom Rider and I like how Sonic's friends are reacting to this. They trust Sonic knowing that there is a reason of why he's doing this. The Babylon rogues were able to piece it together about what Sonic is doing. And the look on their faces were priceless. And so basically they're going to explore what's going on with this whole sweepstakes and try to claim the victory for themselves while they're at it. And for Belle revealing that's Clutch is behind this and Tail and Amy piecing together that there are the ones who are tampering with their board. And for Surge and Kit, Surge is realizing that she wants to be a hero since people are really liking them and want to be heroes the right way. And for the best for last, I save up the Diamond Cutters. Let me start off with Lanolin by saying that she does not speak much in this issue but we can see through her face and body language that she is not happy. And I feel a little bit bad for her because this Phantom Rider is just making her upset and causing chaos. And I like how duo is messing with Lann's thoughts And I like how Duo is messing with Lanolin thoughts in general. I like how Tangle is taken aback after the revival but she chooses to not tell anyone except Whisper. Which Tangle is the goat for doing that by the way. She is afraid to tell Lanolin knowing how she will react to this information. But I like how Whisper revivals that these two Phantom Riders are different people. And she's afraid to tell anyone because of the last time. Afraid that she will be unheard like what happened with Silver. She says that she doesn't trust herself as much anymore only the mask and the only person that she can trust is Tangle. And I just love that Tangle is just so supportive and just there for Whisper. It was just so adorable that she was there to give her the confidence boost. I find it cute and I ship it. But I feel like the next issue or the next issue after that would wrap up this arc and secrets would be revivals. Because this is heating up to a enormous revelation.

Y'know? I actually really like how Amy freeing Belle and Tails reattaching her hand is shown through a quick sequence of wordless panels. It puts an emphasis on Tails and Amy's adorable sense of compassion, which is one the reasons why they're my two favorite Sonic characters, with Sonic himself being a close third.

I like that you enlarged the text bubbles. Thanks for helping keep me caught up on this series.

Good thing Tangle, Whisper and Team Babylon knows what's *REALLY* going on with why Sonic's The Phantom Rider. Good thing Amy was there with Belle since she knows about Clutch compared to Tails and Belle. Clutch is screwing himself over *REALLY* fast due to his and Mimic's recklessness. Even Mimic is freaked out by Clutch losing his temper/composer and that's saying something. Wonder if he'll be scared of him more than Eggman (assuming Mimic survives this story arc considering Whisper's grudge and Surge's possible Heel-Face Turn). Also... is it really bad for Surge and Kit to turn over a possible new leaf? They don't need to be straight up heroes, but it wouldn't be bad for them to be Anti-Heroes/Anti-Villains. I actually like this for them. Granted, Starline wanted them to be heroes, but in his own twisted vision to control the world. What they experienced is the real deal. Man... I hope when Clutch is brought down, that Lanolin doesn't get so frustrated or angry too much with Sonic, Tails and Amy when this is over. She means well, but she can't be so stubborn, especially when she takes on much by herself.

This could've gotten SO bad.... but there's a bright light: Team Babylon, Whisper, Tangle, EVEN Surge and Kit aren't dumb enough to see that Sonic wouldn't do the Phantom Rider thing just for funsies. SUPER glad Lanolin doesn't know, yet Mimic is STILL playing her like a fiddle.... And Amy being let on Clutch being the mastermind, Whisper remembering to put on her camera, plus Surge and Kit actually getting conciences and geniunely wanting to be heroes... YES!! Mimic and Clutch are going DOWN! And I never thought of ANYONE getting Mimic to show fear, but Clutch keeps proving me wrong..... in a good way. Mimic's body language when Clutch gets news of Sonic...... STILL want to turn that octopus into calamari/sushi..... and Clutch into roadkill taxidermy art!! Marv from Home Alone when he falls onto the Christmas ornaments trap is currently yelling through my head for Mimic and Clutch!! 😂

SURGE AND KIT REDEMPTION ARC!!!!!

Jeez, all these people happy that Lanolin got hit. I get, she is not a really liked character, mostly because of personal preferences and the fact she buts heads with Sonic. but seriously, She has worked hard to become the leader of the diamond cutters for one reason, to protect people. She takes her job seriously and rudely because she has too. Not everyone can just fortnite dance on Eggman like Sonic. His actions do put his allies in harms way many times. and she was cold in the first race because she needed to get the job done before people get run over and injured or maybe worse. And all that leaves people cheering like they just won the olympics when she gets beamed in the chest by a dodge ball...while trying to protect people.

I'm not sure how to feel about this issue. I was hoping Sonic's identity would still be hidden at least for 1 more issue but the fact that he's unmasked so early on kinda takes away some of the tension. It's great that the Babylon Rogues figured everything out so quickly, given their history with Sonic but it still seems a bit convenient. Surge and Kit just accepting being heroes and not being more angry with Sonic also feels a bit out of left field (maybe she's getting a bit soft due to being more accepted at the restoration?). Surge seemed to care a lot about getting info on her past but now she's ready to throw that away which was her whole reason to join Clutch in the first place. And why keep Surge and Kit in the dark about all this in the first place? (Maybe I forgot something that was explained in a previous issue?) Really the only people not in the know about Sonic are the racing viewers (which serve no real insight or importance) and Lanolin (which is probably a good thing cause I don't know how the writers would have her react to all this) TLDR; This issue doesn't really add much. And what it DOES add is something that just cuts the tension and gets rid of some steaks a bit*TOO* conveniently. Fun Easter Eggs: 6:21 Jet's fans that he used to attack and boost with in the Rider games. 9:58 The conductor s wife from TMoStH, and her possible daughter? She does have the Conductor's eyes and ears. (And was her saying "Surj" a typo?)

Tbh I didn't like how the characters found out what was going on so fast, I would have liked it if sonic actually had to hide in the shadows because he was caught.

Whoo, quite a few things! Sonic identity is out…that’s probably not good, especially now that Clutch knows who he is. The Babylon Rogues are NOT happy that Sonic is still in the fray. Especially Jet, since his glory was taken by Surge and Kit! Yikes! Speaking of which, looks like Surge and Kit’s redemption arc hasn’t quite begun, seeing that they still challenged Tangle and Whisper, but Kit does want to see the world view them as heroes…so maybe there’s hope And oh boy…Lano-lame. I’ll admit, seeing her get knocked the heck out by Mimic was funny and cathartic, but now that Mimic is getting into her head that Whisper and Tangle are hiding something, she’ll probably be even more overzealous, reckless and aggressive. Which means she’s going to do more stupid things. Typical for the bitch in sheep’s clothing. But on the bright side, Whisper and Tangle won’t tattle on Sonic and they even have some more evidence that could expose Mimic! That octopus imposter’s days are numbered…

This was the lamest most boring comic ever! Just as stupid flowers completion. This is worse than issue 68.

Man, the other characters really know Sonic well. Allies, rivals, they know that Sonic doesn’t just pull something like this without a good reason. Though other characters still in the dark might not be so forgiving and understanding. And I’m a bit surprised with Surge and Kit. But how can they try to be real heroes if they’re still programmed to hate Sonic and Tails with a passion? Will Sonic and Tails eventually have an adventure where they try to uncover who Surge and Kit were? And what is Clean Sweep’s ultimate plan with the race? They certainly can’t afford to have Sonic involved and they need this alliance with the Restoration. Does Clutch want to tear the Restoration apart so that the restoration of a peaceful society is stopped and he can remain in business collecting weaponry and selling it to people?
