I'm reading Willie's My Life and he tells how he - as a minus 10yo - learned by watching from the visiting musicians in his little town, to use his voice as an instrument and his instrument (guitar or whatever) as a voice. He is actually the only one here doing that (no disrespect to the other giants he is on stage with) and consistantly. I just love hearing Willie sing!
Robby Turner...makes that steel guitar weep and wail the best I've ever heard...just mesmerized.

As I probably said before, I have listened to these four guys one by one for years. The first time I saw this 'Live at Nassau,' I was knocked to the floor. I have played myself for many years and also being a sound engineer for over 40 years, I tell you, this is the best live concert ever! Both musically' and a great sound and video production! Really sad that two of them are gone! I'm really looking for a complete DVD of this concert. And of course, what a great backup band!!!
This band is outstanding almost beyond belief...they switch moods and sounds constantly...from song to song...whoever choreographed this inter-play of instruments was a genius.

I saw them live in Rotterdam Ahoy back then together with my 17 year older brother, he was a country fan, I was and still am a metal fan. But honestly, nothing beats these 4 Legends!!!!!
