The biggest crime to me that this movie caused is that no one who watches it knows that Kaya is ANIKA NONI ROSE, the literal voice of Tianna in The princess and the frog, dreamgirls, Everything Everything ETC. I'm so pressed for that, every single time. I need better for my girl😭She literally is apart of my childhood. I feel Slighted.

I saw this movie in theaters for my 18th birthday and the word "cringe" didn't even exist 19 years ago but that is definitely what I was doing lol My friend who went with me loved it though and even though we're in our late 30's, she still loves it so I guess it was made for someone.
Must be the Madness is still a hit in my book! It’s extra as hell and the choreography is…questionable at best…but Kelly and Anika did what they needed do and I appreciate them for it!

Kelly is definitely a Texan and always had an accent. And the blond girl was not on American Idol. I thought this movie was great when I saw it and I don't have the excuse of having been a kid lol. I can recognize now that it's bad but definitely in a fun way. I think I actually suggested this movie for a video so thanks for doing it!

Seriously, though, I first heard that song in the context of Kelly's debut album having NEVER seen this movie, & I still think it's a banger. Then again, I have a liking for cheesy, over-the-top love ballads that go friggin' HARD.

I watched this movie years ago because I'm a big Kelly fan and curiosity got the best of me but I remember nothing about it. I will say Anytime is one of my favorite songs on Kelly's debut so I'm confused about people hating it apparently.
As someone who loved Kelly clarkson and the first couple seasons of american idol and was 9 when this movie came out, i wore the FUCK out of this DVD. I remember leaving it @ my cousins house and being scared for YEARS my older sister would kill me bc she also loved kelly clarkson. I still listen to "timeless" to this day 😩🤣 let me live. Justin and kelly were being pushed as a couple a lot during this time and they also told kelly she had to lose weight multiple times during filming which almost ruins it for me as an adult. Poor girl said she was so hungry whilst doing all these dance moves. However, the shitty music and everything holds a special place in my childhood despite its shortcomings 😭❤️

I remember watching this at a slumber party with my best friend (who is still my best friend 19 years later) who LOVED American Idol. We watched this and both Dirty Dancings as the remake had also just come out. There's a real shift change from this to Penny getting a back ally abortion that was a lot to take in at 10 am.

I liked this movie when I first saw it and I'm not ashamed to say it. Yes I was obsessed with American Idol/Kelly Clarkson/Justin ?? at the time of its release and a kid so my judgement may have been impaired, but I will defend it with my life. Nostalgia is a powerful thing.

Look, I know this movie is garbage but...it's a guilty pleasure for me! I love the soundtrack more than the plot or the acting, but you have to take the good with the bad.
This movie was absolutely corny as a crunchy dirty sock. But I loved one song from it, lol! Timeless. Its the absolute only one I remember. I literally cannot remember any other music. I just remember feeling like it was as if someone said I loved the last dance and song of the original Grease. Lets make that last for 2 hours.

The only redeemable about this movie is Timeless which then was reproduce in korean amd chinese with Xiah and jang ji yi! And the mv for that is top tier!

It’s kinda funny that Kelly got an award for a horrible Texan accent, when she was from Fort Worth, Texas. But I mean she wasn’t fully a random singer from Texas, but was already kind of a singer, but just wasn’t big. So it’s funny she sucked in this movie.
