I remember watching only the last scene of this movie and thinking it was actually Narnia. When I watched the Narnia years later I was so confused because I was like "where's the old people pissing scene?"
when does borat show up?
There’s 2 different versions
😐
That's a funnier story than this movie 🤣
Back in late 2007, I remember watching the ending of that movie thinking it’s the second Narnia movie being a crossover with Pirates of the Caribbean.
Ok but the guy playing ‘Jack “Swallows”’ actually did a pretty decent job with his impersonation though, he was the best part in this movie 😂
I was hoping that would get complimented here. The Jack impression was actually spot on 😂
That was SNL Darrel Hammon! I kept waiting for him to switch to doing BIll Clinton
Although the pun would've been better without the s at the end of his name.
Epic Movie is hilarious. Memulous is just a jackass hater.
As a POTC fan, I wholeheartedly agree.
A movie called Epic Movie gives off the same red flags as a video with “(HILARIOUS)” or “(MUST WATCH)” in the title

6:43 there actually is something interesting about this: Crispin refused to reprise his role due to his pay being lower than his co-stars and their refusal to raise it. After they learn he backed out, they put prosthetics on his replacement to make him look more like Crispin Glover. Crispin ended up suing the BTTF people for $760,000 for using his likeness without his permission.
Also according to a Netflix documentary series episode on BTTF, the director really did not like working with him because he was difficult. So that may have been a factor as well
@@EliciousKalu well yeah. He wanted to make bizarre design changes to his character, and wanted to change the ending because he thought it was "too materialistic" and this pissed Zemeckis off. Crispin is an odd guy, he actually painted a portion of his house entirely black, and this all-black room can be seen on the cover of one of his albums
I know this comment is a year old but they reason he didn't get to be in the second one was because "When they were filming the end sequence Crispin mentioned that he felt the characters were being rewarded with monetary elements at the end of the screenplay, which led to a moral for the film that “money equals happiness.” ' and that "The producers did not care for this statement. Afterward, the producers offered Crispin less than half the salary of what Tom Wilson and Lea Thomson were making for the sequels" the producer falsely made the statement that Crispin Glover demanded the same pay as Michael J Fox.
Fun fact: Jayma Mays and Adam Campbell, the actors of Lucy and Peter respectively, met on set and fell in love with one another. They married later that year, months after the film was released.
Good for them. At least something good came from that movie.
(Ok that sounded mean, but I hope they are doing good)

Congratulations, Crispin Glover!
You made Johnny Depp’s Willy Wonka look like a sane human being in comparison to your portrayal or parody!
Glover is honestly the only redeeming thing in this movie.
Willy Wonka’s OG book character acted more like Crispin’s Wonka than Depp’s or that 1900s Wonka
100% the coolest theater experience I've ever had. It was MAYBE 20 minutes in, and some dude stands up all the sudden and flings his drink at the screen. The whole audience went wild because he kinda summed up how we were all feeling. It was like we had been punk'd and it was being purporsely unfunny. It felt personal. People were launching Icees and nachos at the screen. I almost died when I saw some dude pour out his popcorn and start tap dancing it into little pieces. The back rows all had to get up (if they already hadn't) because people were pelting the glass window of the projector room with drinks. Total mob mentality took over. It was hilarious but it was getting out of hand pretty quickly so my gf and I made our way down the aisle, which was drenched with coke and food. Oh, and some idiot smacked my gf in back of her head with some of the loose change he was throwing at the screen.. which is actually hysterical looking back on. Guy had no food or drink to throw so he was just hurling nickels and dimes and whatever else was in his pocket. We got outside and kinda lingered til everybody flooded out a couple minutes later. The theater had stopped the movie and turned on the lights and apparently a cop had come inside. In the span of maybe 7 or so minutes, we had gone from being civilized and quietly watching this dumpster fire movie to basically being a mob engaging in criminal behavior. It was well worth the price of admission.

The Fergalicious part is the part that haunts my memories in a weird way. I didn't hate it as a kid, but I can't say it left a good imprint.
I don't think they chose non-venomous snakes because they are dumb, they probably thought it would be unsafe for filming a little bit...
The snakes are very clearly rubber
They could’ve also just made a mistake
A lot of non-venomous snakes evolved to look similar to venomous ones in order to deal with predators
To be fair to the snake scenes, even non-venomous snake bites can cause major inflammation and hurt like hell, especially if they lose a tooth in your skin and you don’t notice. Then it can lead to infection which gets even worse... Tbh any type of animal bite is not ideal, it’s just venomous ones ten to be a bit worse, depending on the vermin type/strength 😬
i actually had this movie on dvd when i was a kid lol
the willy wonka factory scene you mentioned, it should have fergies "fergalicious" playing in the background, and if you watch the scene with music it makes it SLIGHTLY more bearable
I watched epic movie when i was younger and ngl it got a few chuckles out of younger me but that willy wonka scene genuinly haunted me for years, i had nightmares for at least a week after it.
i had it to, and used to pause at the wardrobe opening scene for some reason i don't remember

The movie movies I feel are built for UA-cam, but not for full movies. It's honestly so much better cutting all the jokes together rather than having it pretend to be anything more than a parody skit like Smosh used to do 10 years ago.
Edit: damn, he made the same joke. Great minds think alike
He finally found the movie that had the Willy Wonka scene that traumatized me as a kid
So, the original movie?
I just cant believe Kevin hart is in this movie lmao, hes uncredited though, but that albino guy is kevin hart...
These movies aren't even spoofing the originals. They're just making quick internet memes out of them. These types of movies started by making fun of a property, like Star Wars. Then it was about making fun of a genre. Like Scary Movie did with 90's horror films. Until we ultimately get this. Where they throw in as many references to pop culture as humanly possible and loosely string them all together. Just so you can barely call it a movie.
You talking about the willy wonka scene for 2 minutes made me laugh more than the entirety of epic movie
I love how they have a Nacho Libre reference whilst also legit having Hector Jimenez in the movie.

How were you able to watch an R-rated movie in school?
@@DudeFromOregon You sure that's the rating? Here the highest age rating you can get is 15+. Regardless, I was actually mad about the movies we watched in school back then because there were several inappropriate ones (another time we watched a parody of a Swedish crime show which had some pretty explicit gore) and I was a huge goody two shoes who would lecture people about watching/showing movies with too high of an age rating. If it were up to me we definitely would not have watched a movie involving decapitations and such, I actually found those scenes quite upsetting, but alas my classmates outvoted me and made fun of me for being uncomfortable with the movies we watched
@@KreeZafi Oh whoops, I think I’m referring to the unrated version. Because I know that version of the movie had a lot of cussing, and a nude scene. But I just looked up Epic Movie, and it has a pg-13 version as well.
@@DudeFromOregon The one we watched had a naked lady coming out of the closet so maybe it was that one? Regardless, 15+ is still the highest rating here, and violence/gore weight much heavier than nudity
The fact that this film has Kumar, Stifler's mom, and Crispin Glover already makes it so much better than Disaster Movie!
I got my own personal thoughts on these movies. Most of them are honestly guilty pleasures of mine, not that they’re GOOD movies but that they legitimately have great ideas that would’ve been hilarious with better execution such as the random crossover elements, which media like Mad and Spaceballs did great at. But honestly, I’m commenting to say the worst one isn’t Disaster Movie or even Epic Movie. If you want a REAL dumpster fire that you will dread every second of your life on, watch The Starving Games, now there’s a REASON you hear nothing about that movie on UA-cam.
