- We test ride the new kids on the block .....Triumphs 400 Scrambler X and Triumphs 400 Speed.
What is our conclusion?
Are they as good as they look?
We had a great time finding out.
Jayne and I had a great weekend. Sonic Kingdom Band gigged at a pub in Taunton, Somerset. collected 2 Triumphs from Bridge Motorcycles in Exeter in Devon for a test ride and review.

I do think Triumph are onto a winner with these I would get one if I had the spare cash. Interesting comparison with the 400/4 because the Triumph puts out a few more horsepower and is about 8kg lighter but being a single puts out quite a bit more torque and at lower rpm so should feel punchier.

Did you know that you are not running in the engine and you don't need too. Just ride not too aggressively .
You are running in the tyres,brakes and suspension....
Incredible but true just think what your told when you fit new tyres or brakes.
No I didn't believe it either but that is official triumph advice on full factory tour....... do NOT run in our engines.

only positive to the high beam switch is during the day youll be more visible but still annoying at night differnt story

Got my first glimpse of this bike this morning at the Alicante Dealership....it looked up to the usual Triumph finish, the fittings ie:- switch gear, alloy gear shift and rear brake. barred mirrors etc!. One thing l did notice was the diameter of the fork situations, very big considering the small size of the Bike...Well impressed with the 400. over here it costs 5.775€... might even get one myself...complement my 675 Striple..

Hello you two. Absolutely loved your vlog. Bikes look great and i have to say you made me laugh a few times. I'm expecting my scrambler 400x to arrive here in Ireland around the end of March. Can't wait to get my hands on it. Keep it going and enjoy that pension. I think you mentioned it once , or maybe more. 😁👍

This bike's far better and practical better than the new himalayan 452..for sure..
Trust me this "Triumph" scrambler has no where near the R&D put into it compared to the Enfield Himalayan. But each to their own. Fools and their money will always be easily parted
Triumph have played a blinder with these 2 bikes that switch is an issue it would seem I do like them and Royal Enfield have some stiff competition here .Good one guys and well done on getting out on these bikes as you are the first I have seen with them on the road . Just one point Kelvin your front camera was slightly low at times ,I found myself looking over the screen a bit strange I know 😉👌👍

I'm couple years away from the pension and I've been told I'm too old. 😢 I like scrambler most, but I'm short too guess it's speed for me

5:32 ... whoah! Those gold forks nearly blinded me ... Sorry Triumph, until you provide black or silver forks, I won't buy one of these bikes with gold forks.
I think the 400/4 was 37bhp from memory

The bikes being sold in Britain and europe are built in Thailand, the bikes being built in India are for the Indian ? Asian countries. Great vid though.

That's not quite correct, these bikes are Bajaj motorcycles with a Triumph badge on, and are therefore all built in India because they are an Indian motorcycles.
WRONG, these buikes are designed and developed in BRITAIN, where they were tested and developed, then manufacturing was set up in India and Thailand, along with a manufacturing plant in Brazil. The Indian built bikes, (which also differ slightly from the bikes for Britain and the eu, and other countries), will be sold in India and the Asian subcontinnent, the bikes for Britain and Europe are built in Thailand along with most of Triumphs range, and bikes for the American continent will be in Brazil. Don`t believe me?, that`s exactly what Triumphs manufacturing and marketing executives have publically said. Please make sure you actually know what you`re talking about before commenting. @@jimmyjam8795
How would the scrambler cope with a pillion
Not sure. The pillion seat is smaller on the Scrambler and doesn't look as comfy as the seat on the Speed. Thanks for your comment. All the best. Kelv and Jayne
Good vlog. Just not sure why vloggers like to film themselves eating. Especially that rude person I can't stand million dollar bogan. That does it all the time

Could have done without 36:22 scene.
Watch how quickly these pretenders lose their appeal when the mask slips and people discover these are generic motorcycles that have very little to do with Triumph. The residues will drop like a stone
