Kargil was a war - this was just one skirmish. India and Pakistan have fought four wars (1948, ‘65, ‘71, and ‘99 aka Kargil). All of those except for 1971 were over Kashmir and started by Pakistani invasion. When not fighting a war, Pakistan sponsored Islamist insurgencies in Kashmir which carried out ethnic cleansing of the non-Muslim population. Pakistan claims Kashmir based on the majority Muslim population there. India claims it based on the fact that the former ruler ceded independence to India.

Interesting insights about the fake flank and why they had to stay close to the ridge in order to switch over to the reverse slope if enemy changed positions. I wish ADGPI would make more such videos from the Kargil war. Especially the one about Sub.Major (later Hon. Capt.) Yogendra Singh Yadav or Sub. Major Sanjay Kumar. What they did was something straight out of a movie, it is as if they had Plot armour in real life. They remind me of Coy Havildar Major Piru Singh Shekhawat from the 1948 war. His charge at the peak was LEGENDARY. Here is what he did:-
Darapari is a hill feature in Tithwal Valley over 1100 feet high. 6 RAJPUTANA RIFLES was tasked to capture Tithwal valley. The battalion was informed that the enemy did not have enough time to dig-in extensively and therefore could be easily dislodged. However, the information received was inaccurate and the battalion did not have enough time to conduct proper reconnaissance of the enemy position. The attack for the capture of Darapari was to take place at 0130 Hr on the night of 17/18 July 1948. CHM Piru Singh’s platoon was leading the assault. When platoon commander Subedar Bhika Singh was hit, CHM Singh took command and led his gallant platoon against the murderous fire coming from the enemy deployed in well-dug trenches and bunkers on high ground.
D Company, of which CHM Piru Singh was part of, was detailed to attack and capture an enemy- occupied hill feature at South of Tithwal. The enemy had well dug in their positions, sited MMG to coverlikely approaches. D Company's offensive was greeted with strong MMG fire from both flanks as it approached. The enemy lobbed grenades and brought down heavy fire at CHM Singh’s platoon from their bunkers. Company Havildar Major Piru Singh was then assigned to the company's forward-most section. He remained steadfast despite seeing more than half of the section slain or wounded. He encouraged the remaining men with battle cries and moved forward with tremendous purpose onto the nearest enemy MMG position. With complete disregard to his personal safety, he continued to advance, despite grenade splinters shredding his garments. Taking over the MMG position he neutralised the enemy gun crew with stengun fire.
In a daring act, he jumped on the MMG crew bayoneting them to death. CHM Singh realised that he was the sole survivor of the section and the rest were either dead or wounded. Shortly later, another grenade was thrown at him, which wounded his face. With blood dripping from his wounds on his face, he crawled out of the trench, hurling grenades at the next enemy position. He gave a loud battle cry *_"RAJA RAM CHANDRA KI JAI!"_* (Hail King Rama!), then jumped on the occupants of the next trench bayonetting two to death. As he came from the second trench to charge the third enemy bunker, he was shot in the head by a bullet and last seen falling into the enemy trench. There was an explosion in the trench, indicating that his grenades had done their job.

Secular word is forcefully added ny Congress Govt in 1976, where all opposition leaders are put into jail forcefully.

Destroyed two bunkers then rolled himself 800 metres down the mountain slope passed the message all this he did after being shot 17 times .He survived fully recovered...He recieved the param vir chakra the highest military honour alive ...If any force is fighting Indian army in mountain warfare it will be their biggest nightmare

There are some fects after war
    1. Pakistan denied to accept there soldiers bodies.
India buried them with respect and in their cultural ways.
    2. Pakistan government answered after war that we dont even know there is a war going on.
    3. They kept speeading terr@rism again and again from various of their organisation.
    4. Even if there ks a survay today 60% of pakistan civilians believe that they won bcz thats what they teaching in their schools
    5. The main reason of all this situation is lack of govt. Control over military action and lack of modern knowledge bcz if that in long term history of Pakistan not a single government completed its 5 yrs of time period.

The thing is during 1999 Kargil war pakistan didn't even accepted the corpse of their soldiers.. Pakistan doesn't care how many casualities there will be in a war.. You should react to " Vikram Batra" He was the soldier in Kargil war he is a martyr but there is also a movie on him name "SherShah"... He captured the one of the toughest point of mountain with his team and when he asked by the media reporter what do you feel about this? He said "Ye dil maange more" means This heart ask for more which was the tag line of Pepsi at that time in India.. But he liked it so he used that in the context of his team and their enthusiasm

India wanted to be secular cause many other religions in India, but the Muslims are the majority minority and eat up all minority left wing privilege.

Simple British left India 1947. Jinnah said since you took power from Mughal give power before living to muslims. But Congress leadership was strong so at last partition of India happened on the basis of religion. Just after partition pakistan attacked J&K of India and since then have 4 war's. Pakistan even today works on hatred for Hindus rather than India. After losing 4 war they learned that they can't fight traditional war so pakistan kept sponsoring terr**isms in different parts of India. To understand the conflict you will have to learn the real History

History for context: Kargil Pak invasion was the brain child of then President of Pakistan “Gen Parvez Musharraf”. It was a his revenge against their losses in Siachen Glacier when he was the Brigade Commander of Special Services Group (SSG) in 1984. They failed miserably to take control of Siachen Glacier & India took complete control over after Operation Meghdoot.
He thought that once Pakistan is able to capture Kargil, they’ll have direct control over National Highway 1A connecting Srinagar to Leh. Hence choking the supplies to Siachen & then they’ll be able to snatch Siachen.
However Pak army fails to have long term strategic thinking. Where they didnt account for supplies to Leh through Manali highway (although quite treacherous back then) & high altitude landing base “Daulat Beg Olie” overlooking Karakoram Pass which can he used for reinforcements & supplies in case of emergency

We Indians DO NOT hate Muslims...we hate people who are anti-India for no reason really, and most of them happen to be Pakistani-Muslims.
Yes, India has a lot of problems of its own, and religious conflict is a part of it. When u have so many people of different religions, there are bound to be some conflict. But whatever be the case we are collectively still making progress, and that is evident by the fact that we are expected to have 3rd highest GDP by 2030.

A very, very brief history of India and Pakistan. Following WW2, the UK made the decision to relinqiuish their colonies and the largest was India (at the time it was India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh as one region). In British India, there were Hindus and Muslims that lived together in peace. However, with their newly attained independence, Indian leaders ultimately moved to create an India for Muslims and an India for Hindus. A British General drew probably the worst borders for the split ever drawn, creating modern-day India, West Pakistan, and East Pakistan (now called Bangladesh). The seperation created a crisis where people migrated to their respective new nations, often leaving behind homes that had been in their families for generations. Violence also broke out during this migration and over a million people died as a result. They've been bitter rivals ever since.

Correction the division was a line drawn not by a general but a lawyer from London who had never been to India did not have an understanding of Indian society. He wad given a quick brief and told to get on with it. He used inaccurate census data to draw the line on religious lines not knowing a thing about the various religions. Once he drew the line he flew back to London. Only being responsible for over a million deaths. Just like Churchill being responsible for 6 million dead in the Bengal famine.

Insight into India-Pakistan issue or rather known as Jammu & Kashmir issue :
When India was given independence it was decided that there would a new country created called Pakistan on the basis of religion. More than 560+ Princely States were given choice to merge in India or join Pakistan or remain Independent. Most joined India and some Pakistan.
Jammu & Kashmir wanted to be an independent Princely State and to become so signed a standstill agreement with Pakistan but India never signed it.
J & K King was a Hindu but had a majority of Muslim Population. So, Pakistan felt they have the right on a Muslim majority region.
But due to Standstill Agreement, they cannot go to war overtly. So, they brought in Tribals from Afghanistan and dressed up some of their armymen as tribals, and started a siege on J & K. The tribals massacred, looted and raped all along their way to Srinagar, capital of the Princely State. At first, the King thought his Army could crush the enemy but some of the Muslims in his army joined the enemy. Now, his only option was to take help from India. He reached New Delhi for help. India refused to help as J&K was an independent State and India didn't want to get into an International issue soon after Independence and asked him to acceed to India if he wanted India to intervene. He was reluctant but soon got the message that the enemy had reached the outskirts of Srinagar and his Capital will fall in a day's time. He finally signed the Accession Declaration and J&K officially became part of India.
The King went back and it is said that he gave his gun to his attendant and said that if the News of Indian Army reaching Srinagar is not heard next morning, he shoot the King in his sleep.
But Indian Army reached Srinagar Airport next morning and started to push back the enemy. The war went on for few months till there was a UN intevention. The point till Indian Army pushed back the enemy became the Ceasefire Line and later the Line of Control.
UN resolution on the matter :
    1. Pakistan unconditionally withdraw their troops from the occupied region of Kashmir.
    2. India keep small amount troops to maintain law & order and withdraw rest of the troops.
    3. A plabiscite will be held under UN supervision.
But Pakistan did not pull back its troops and Plabiscite never happened.

India and Pakistan relationship is as such :
India says the sun rises from the east.
Pakistan says the sun rises from the west.
India takes Pakistan to show the sunrise.
Pakistan says we call this direction west.
