I have not gone there yet. I usually try to go to the more local or off the beaten path restaurants, but I may end up checking it out one day. I have found that most of the restaurants in that neighborhood tend to be more expensive than I typically spend, but the prices here seem to be reasonable.
@@FrugalWanderer If you are ever motivated, I would love to see you do a video of your favorite restaurants. Really great to know about these wonderful places you find. Wild is very good and it's western owners are very friendly.
I'm glad that you enjoy these types of videos. I love making them. They remind me of having dinner with my family, so I never feel alone when I'm eating. Haha
I'm looking forward to my trip. I haven't done much travelling since arriving here and I'm finally able to start up my plans. I'm excited. Hopefully I can bump into you one of these days. You seem to be on the move all the time.
Food looks good! In one of the For Riel videos they pass what may be this restaurant. Claire didn't say the name of it but made the comment how popular it is. Is it in the Sla Kram area of the city?
I put a link to the restaurant in the description but I'm pretty sure that it is in the Sia Kram area. I'm just not too familiar with the names of the different areas.
@@FrugalWanderer Yes, it is in the Sla Kram commune area (part of the Siem Reap city). My family was born there. After watched the video, I recognized the area.
It said in translation, " Rice chicken Wat Po Lanka." Sean is that real close to Wat Po Lanka? I wish I was there to eat rice fried chicken. That is one of my favorit. $1.75 is a very good price. In California, if I don't have $30.00 minimum in my pocket plus tip, I afraid to go to the restaurant.
stay away from restaurants amazon and random cups of coffee different streaming services and look for a better mobile deal and u will have cash to go to cambodia pretty fast..all the small expenses adds up pretty fast every month

I just read the news that there are so many Brazil and American and Canadian are moving to Siem Reap, and it might be bad news for you ? I mean, if you wanna stay in the quiet position
I knew it would happen eventually, but there is a lot of room here still. From my understanding, there used to be a very large Chinese population here before the pandemic, but that gone now. So even if a bunch of folks from the west come here, there is entry of space for everyone
Yeah. The prices for food in Toronto is nuts. Even Popeyes chicken was stupid expensive unless you went I a specific day for one of their specials. It was still more than $10
Considering I've only seen it rain in the late afternoon or evening, I think they are pretty safe. If I do see a morning storm, I'll run down and see how they do it. Haha
I had the link in the description before. I will update it but here it is as well. I have no idea of the name of the restaurant, but here is where it is. Sorry about that. maps.app.goo.gl/PjDDwZdmpLjLin5i7

Very large early meal… you can order it to go and eat it for 2days.
I didn't eat again until dinner time 12 hours later. It definitely filled me up. Can't wait to do it again.

Nice meal what is wrong with the dog sound angry or hungry lot have great day Sean
The dogs were just being cranky. They tend to get territorial at times and they nip at each other. The staff was good at shooing them away though.
Another great and delicious deal…
I agree. There are so many great places like this here. I can never get bored eating here.
Almost every dish comes with jasmine rice which is just carbohydrates and can cause high blood sugar.
I don't seem to have any issues with it personally.
