As a Cambodian who understand what the tuktuk guide said to the villager kids, he actually intentionally bring tourist to the village to help them out. He keeps comforting the little kids to wait and he’ll try to bring next tourist to buy snack for them to eat, in a gentle and really genuine way. It’s lovely too see this. He really does want to help those families out, as far as i can tell.
yep i was surprise as well
Is that how you say Siem reap? I always thought it was said like "sai-am reap" but really curious to know. Been to Cambodia 3 times and I love it but I don't think I was ever saying it right
Thankyou for the intel😅I always wonder what's really being said bcuz I know in Spanish I hear ppl saying crazy stuff to ppl😂⚠️
@@ruthlessintentions3778 “sai-am” is another word in thai which is “SIAM”. You could pronounce “Siem” in Siemreap by simply say “seem reap”. It’s a 2 syllable name, not 3.
I wish there were more tours that helped villagers. Sounds like a cool and healthy business.
Dear Chris, I am a local Cambodian, who’s come to the US under harsh political threats for over 6 months. I cannot possibly express how much I miss my home country, as well as my gratitude towards you and your videos. You have been giving me a sense of being home again each time I watch a video. I am grateful for what you have done, not just for me, but for my country, and her people, and other countries as well.
May god bless you, Chris 🙏
Stop following the extremist Sam Rainsy opposition group, and no one will threaten you.
I hope you been safe brother. I love Cambodian but seem like the goverment is not doing much for the people, which is nearly the same here in Vietnam. Wish you all the best my brother, love from South Vietnam ❤
You didnt need to run to the US....thailand or vietnam are ok.....
@@clowntrainingacademy4508 I appreciate your concerns.
@@EternallyGod This would normally be the case, if it weren't the ex-prime minister chasing and threatening our entire family. We could have gone to nearby countries, but the risk was too high, as they have enough power to track us down. The USA promised us protection under constitutional rights, and it's far to say we feel a lot safer here.
Chris, I loved this video. I spent a month in Cambodia and some time with Cambodian children at an orphanage. It is so sad that a lot of thse kids don't get to go to school and there are many orphans as well. Cambodian people are so grateful and will give you the shirt off their back even though they have barely anything to give. What you did in that rural community was so helpful and kind. I was in Siem Riep fifteen years ago and I'd love to go back. The kids and people in general made a lasting impact on me. You do feel so grateful for what you have after seeing rural Cambodia and how poor, kind and grateful these people are. Love this video, you're the best for all you do. Keep the content coming! Would really love to see more of this type of content. This is the real Cambodia outside of the cities. Much love, from Canada.
Thank you so much for what you did to Cambodian children.
I’m fortunate enough to win a scholarship to JP and now working as an engineer.
Watching this video reminds me of my childhood where I came from, was poor but happier than now.
Definitely be grateful for what I have now regardless of life obstacles.
I hope you visit Cambodia again soon. All the best to you @Jody.
@@unityroullet495 Thanks, and good for you! Always great to hear a success story like yours. I was at the Centre for Children's Happiness in Phnom Penh and highly recommend a visit to Chris or anyone else in PP. The children were so grateful and also dance and sing traditional songs for visitors. God Bless
Not long been subscribed to the channel I have never seen a UA-camr who is as polite kind and well spoken then yourself
Thank you so much, that means a lot to me!
@@Travelwithchris a wish a couple of Brit youtubers who do the same type of videos in Asia would be as respectfull
Agreed. Be blessed
You’re awesome Chris
Truer words never spoken. Love your manners Chris. 😊👍 My first boss taught me ("It's nice to be important but it's more important to be nice"). Keep up the good work Chris mate. Jealous in Ireland dude 😎

@@TravelwithchrisWhere did u young ppl get the expression "That was bomb" to me that spells disaster! Lol
Chris, you have a heart of gold, feeling what people feel, living in very humble surroundings and in brutal poverty., and helping them at the same time!
I’m moving to Siem Reap in 9 weeks! Thank you for showing the parts of the area that are not normally filmed in your videos!!!
You are very kind to Khmer people and just very kind in general everywhere you go. You are a good man.
Thank you chris for for giving so much and just being so kind. Thank you for being you.
Good job Chris!!! Best video so far and appreciate you showing the other side of what tourist don't see.
Thank you so much Chris. I can’t even lie I had to pause the video around 45 mins. Started to tear up. I love the fact that you’re telling us it’s only 5 US dollars to feed these kids and put a smile on their face. After working the whole scene and seeing the kids fight over the food then after they got it everyone had a smile and giving high fives to Chris. I’m Cambodian my self. Born and raised in the US and I’ve always wanted to visit so bad. I know my Time is coming soon tho. Sorry for the rant but I’m sure you enjoy reading these comments on your free time. Much love and support Chris. And truly thank you from the bottom of my heart for what you’re doing. This is exactly what I would love to do myself. Keep up the amazing work brother! Love coming from Minnesota USA
Also awesome tour guy!! He was very helpful. I can’t really speak Khmer but I understand it well and it was amazing to hear this guy looking out for you. I can see a friendship between you too guys. Such an amazing video. Also towards the end of the video leaving the village and seeing you getting a bit emotional after seeing the living situation. That touched my heart so much. And I totally understand you completely so thank you again Chris. Will be showing this video to my grandpa and grandma who lives here in the US but came from cambodia. Thank you thank you Chris❤

Harsh reality ..... those people are living it every day, with smiles on their faces. Just goes to show how uneven living in this world can be. You were shocked, but as always, still respectful. Fantastic guide as well.
The fact that this was posted today and with Cambodian new year just around the corner --- come thru Chris! ^_^

My travels to all those countries you are visiting have given me a deep sense of gratitude and perspective. Witnessing the realities faced by others in different parts of the world can indeed be eye-opening and humbling.
