Pursuit Force : Extreme Justice was my first PSP game and still it is one of my favorite psp games .
The Warriors by Rockstar was a classic and the fact it was released on PSP is cool. Definite hidden gem for that system. It's also on the PS Vita store
First game I downloaded when I got my Vita kinda forgot about it but definitely guna revisit and finish it

Ive been playing hella psp on vita lately ...hell, it was one of the main reasons I first bought the V in 2012! MGS: Peace Walker was a whole new experience with a second analog stick. One of my favorite Vita features is to map cumbersome controls of PS1 & psp games to make fluid gameplay. Having the Right Analog directions use L/R 1 & 2's makes stunts in Jet Moto 2 go smooth as Coltrane :-)

Gundam Vs Gundam Next Plus
Armored Core 3
I loved Squad Command. Fir me this is the best take on strategy on the PSP, and still great on the Vita! Though it's cool that we can play C&C and Warcraft 2 on the Vita as well. But the turn-based combat is just somewhat more elegant and involves much more brains than most RTS games ever did.
A PSP game i got very recently,was Mortal Kombat Unchained,im a big MK fan,so to celebrate MK1 been released,i got Unchained for my PSVita,is a sligthy upgraded port of Mortal Kombat Deception,but a prety darn good one,with a few new characters that where not in the console version
just another why i love the PSVita,i have my all time favorite MK games,those been MK 9 and Deception on this console!
Blazing Souls Accelerate was the last PSP game I've downloaded for my Vita before sticking to physical carts. Though it's on the original disc, I've played Adventures to Go!, which also available to download.
I did not know Hot Shots Tennis yet so thanks a lot for that one. For me PoPoLoCrois is the most overlooked and hidden game on the PSP. I never see anyone talk about it and to me it is one of the best RPGs ever, I love the art style, characters and story and it is fun to play as well. Also since it is an RPG (actually a combination of 2 games in one) it will keep you busy for a while and BOY the animated cut scenes are so beautiful.
ridge racers 1 and 2 tekken and the 2 burout games are my favorite psp games
Thanks for showing Dragons Lair some love James, as I'm a HUGE fan of all things laserdisc and DL is the granddaddy of the genre. As someone who has owned the game to many time to count over way to many system, the PSP is one of my favorite versions. A lot of versions suffered in the video quality department, but this version looks great, sounds awesome, and plays amazingly. My only real issue is that Space Ace & DL2 never got PSP ports.
I don't know you, but I like it so much those metal gear solid acid ...strategy with cards ...

Thank you James! It's great not have a video where the PS Vita is just a PS 4 game controller video! It's actually feels like a games console again! All of these games look great and I am sure I can try them all on my (of course, not hacked,) PS Vita and Vita TV! By the way, when you do flog a dead horse, make sure you get a good price for it and not a pig in a poke. (Old farts like us should get this reference, (hopefully!) Man, I hate begin born before the Atari 2600 was even thought of!
Oh James, Dragon's Lair is right in my wheelhouse. The art looked the way it did because it was done by former Disney animator Don Bluth. Bluth did a lot of work on The Black Cauldron. He later did The Secret of NIMH (highly recommended), American Tale, Ferngully I think, and he got to make his princess movie that Disney turned down for 20th Fox Anastasia. Which ironically Disney now owns.
He was able to get a bit cheeky with the art because, well he wasn't at Disney any more. At least he didn't get as X rated as his contemporary Ralph Bakshi did. Look him up sometime!

I remember played dead head Fred on the psp and I think one screen don't load correctly....tge loading screen or something, just a black screen ...

Dragons layer came out during the time of Heavy Metal and Conan comic books. Thing was a lot freer time lol.

Metal Gear Acid games are always overlooked. Mainly because people don't like that it was card based etc. I enjoyed the games and never see any love so figured I mention them.

Let me tell you a more overlooked game I doubt you even know it even exist in the PSP. Its the *Audition Portable* for the PSP. It was the offline PSP version of the online game developed by T3 entertainment for the PC. Its basically a Korean MMO Rhythm game which was used to be popular years ago.

I remember a seeing a large crowd gather around a guy playing DL in the arcade on the Santa Cruz Boardwalk. He seemed to know what he was doing because everyone was very excited about his progress. As for me, definitely a 'quarter muncher' with very little progress to show for the number of quarters the game devoured..... ;(

The end is near. Players with croatian psn accounts recived an e-mail from Sony that they will no longer be able to purchase games from PS3 and PS Vita stores (that's all due our country's desicion to change curency to Euro €, so they couldn't be botherd to translate PS3 and PS Vita prices to new curency so they decided to shut it down, just for us now on Nov 5th). 👀☹️

Sony never released Gran Turismo on the PS Vita which is criminal, however playing the PSP version on the Vita sort of scratches the itch for playing GT on a portable.

I mostly played GTA LCs and VCS on my Vita
I'm pretty confused, so the PS store is still opened for the PSvita?. 'cause I was online trying to find it but all I found is treads from earlier this year talking about adding funds to your Ps wallet and users were having trouble connecting so I didn't try.

I wish the settings in the PSP games would let me map the controls on my Vita, the second analogue stick feels lonely.
You can actually change the settings for the PSP games that would work best with a second stick like the Monster Hunter and Metal Gear games.
The 2nd stick will simply copy the D-Pad controls, which is a GODSEND for the aforementioned games and for other games as well.
You can map the right analog stick for the camera or any button input you wany

Nice , I got the Capcoms collections back in the day they were on sale (4,99€ eaach) and they are all great , I even redownload them from the PSN on my psp3000 ( that I use ...... I think at least 5 times after getting PSVita 2011-2012 😁 I'll check this snk collection for sure 🙂

Unfortunately, other than through emulation, all of these have 1 thing in common: they've been delisted from the Store. If you did buy them when they were available, then you can still download them from your digital library.
Knights, Riviera and Yggdra have since been ported/remastered on other platforms, so at least you can get them there

psp games i'd recommend...hm, i'm more of a psp guy than even me being a vita guy so...i'd go with .hack/link, coded arms contagion and digimon adventure for that oriental translated flavour. off the top of my head y'know
