That picnic bench tray...such a Joel and Lia vibe!
The architecture and the afternoon tea food looks incredible.
It was so amazing, Beverly!
I was wondering, how much did all of that cost, if you don't mind me asking.
Afternoon tea is amazing and that one is so cool
This looks like a "must-do" if ever traveling there. The food looked fabulous and the atmosphere is stunning. I could spend hours just walking around looking at everything.
If anyone in management at Coombe Abbey is reading this, here's one vote for NO, please, to that pub bench serving tray for afternoon tea. I was so excited when I saw the pretty china cups and the mismatched blue china on the 3-tiered tray since aesthetics are such a big part of the tea experience to me. I would be so disappointed if I got that clunky wood bench instead, no matter how lovely the other surroundings. Perhaps they could be repurposed for the cafe? Kudos for offering a mostly savory option, though!
What a gorgeous setting and delicious-looking tea! Thank you for the video!
Love the video! Tea looks scrumptious! (but that's a squirrel table--people put food for squirrels on them in their yards and take pics of the squirrel seeming to be eating at a picnic table)
Your teas are always stunning, what a beautiful place to have one, it’s going on the list next time I visit, and the food looked amazing. Thanks for taking us along! ❤❤❤
Stunning Everything!
it looks so amazing! I live vicariously through you you both because being diabetic I
Can’t eat anything that you partake in but it all looks scrumptious. Thank you so much
For sharing your journey.❤️
Yay, afternoon tea video!
Hope you enjoy it!
@@ThoseTwoBritsUK I absolutely did!!
Love your ventures but way too short, maybe could have gone on boat you showed and filmed? Also, live your funny bits when you stay over and film while getting ready? Something funny always crops up (like snow, bath water that won't stop, etc). The place looks so pretty, maybe show us around at night more, outside too? Hope you do a Vlog-mas!?
There's lots more videos coming up from this stay don't worry!
A delicious tea in a magical setting. It doesn't get any better than this. Although, Joel, I just watched your toasted muffin short and that looked pretty darned good too!
Who here is American and just watches them to get educated on their culture
Man, that was amazing! Anything that explodes chocolate is a party in your mouth! Gorgeous abbey!
Hiya Joel and Lia, I like these afternoon tea vlogs plus all your cookery vlogs, keep up the good content, this is Choppy in Whitehaven, Cumbria, England
How much was the afternoon tea.
Prices change, but as of 23 November 2022, the cost listed on the Coombe Abbey website is:
£32.50 Per Person (Tuesday to Friday)
£35 Per Person (Weekend)
I checked out their website. Why didn't you do the Go Ape ropes adventure? That seems so strange of an activity to do at a castle...
👍🇨🇦🇨🇦🏴🏴
Wait, isn't Coombe in Coventry
It's all so lovely - I want an afternoon tea!!
Fantastic , nice place!!
Oh wow, I want to go have afternoon tea.
Definitely the best
I agree Prosecco > Champagne. I’ve been wanting to experience an afternoon tea for so long! Not sure if there are any good places in the US 😩
For a cozy afternoon tea in the United States I highly recommend Lovejoy's in San Francisco (think grandma's parlour and cute mismatched china vs. hotel glitz). I'm obsessed with their egg and onion sandwich, and the scones with proper Double Devon cream are delicious! ❤🫖❤
💖💖
Such a lovely tea. Would love to do this one day. I'll try to find a place here in the states near me.
If you happen to be in the area, my favorite cozy (vs. glitzy) afternoon tea so far in the U.S. is Lovejoy's in San Francisco.
I love y'all's channel so much. Get to see places I've never been through the eyes of two of the most beautiful, fun and loving people. Thank you for sharing your life with me. Big Love from Nashville. ❤️
Looks delish and so unique with the pub lunch style table. Would love to experience that!! Thx for sharing!💜
Yum, it all looks so tasty! Love when you take us for Tea,lol. Thanks guys, see you soon!
Does it really feel like a "castle" or does it feel like a tourist trap dolled up as a castle? Love a Joel and Lia prosecco moment.
First!!! Looks lovely! Prepping for afternoon tea here. Perfect timing! Thanks for sharing mates! L&C 👍😘❤️🇬🇧
Amazing! Enjoy Tek!
I made a WICKED DELICIOUS bread with crushed whole wheat berries and Himalayan sea salt on parchment on the bottom of the pan, and poppy seeds on the top of the dough, kept their with a little olive oil. The dough was my starter---multiple refrigeratable yeast starters (multiple for competition)---combined with organic white all purpose flour; egg; NO SUGAR; whole, warm milk, and 3 different sea salts. I can't tell you how wonderful this bread is!! Why don't you make a sugarless bread next time you come to America. How much of each ingredient? I don't measure. After making hundreds of breads, you know about how much, and it works 99.9% of the time. If you have a need to measure ingredients, check out Chainbaker on youtube. He shows you how to make any kind of bread.
Such fun!
