I am going to order thus Bible for a prayer bible.
Ok your voice mannerism sounds just like Kent Hovind. He taught creation in the Bible. Anyway. Thank you for a great review.

I was wondering if you could fit it in a back Jean pocket?

Seems like a great Bible for on the go! And with the Smyth sewn binding, a good candidate for a rebind once the original cover degrades. Ordered one for myself to take to work!

Wooooah! CSB2020 is not yet on sale here on the Philippines (or I am just not that aware). I’m not also a Baptist but a Pentecostal and our church uses ESV as main translation for expository teaching and NLT sometimes for some dynamic translation. 😄
The CSB seems awesome to read too! I’m looking forward for the new upload.
    Keep on going, brother! 😄

I know right! It's really weird how local Christian bookshops here still don't have the 2020 version.

@@romanvincentjusay4464 True. Even when you check the major Bible bookstores here in PH, they don’t stock them still.. probably we are going to have to wait longer, hahaha! :)

They're gonna release the same format for kjv too this year. Speaking of single column, I'd like to see you review ESV reader's bible (not the expensive one) too.

Great review! I just ordered this Bible. It looks like the same page layout as the single column wide margin. Do you know if that’s the case?

Hey Paul! I just checked the compact against the wide margin and their layout is the same, but obviously the compact doesn’t have the wide margins. Thank you for watching.

This Bible looks nice. I'm not a fan of the CSB myself but many other people are, and that is very okay, it's just nor for me. I've been looking for a readable small Bible in the ESV translation but their compacts are either too small or have red letters. An 8.5 point should be the bare minimum I believe for a small Bible, but something would have to give. Either the Bible is going to be thick like say the Clarion or the paper has to be tissue thin or the text super tiny, but for it to be readable for many people, 8.5 to 9 point has to be the bear minimum. I would get the ESV Large Print Compact if it wasn't a red letter text, or the Large Print Value Compact if was sewn and the text didn't go so far into the gutter. There are so many Bibles in so many different translations out there yet I can't seem to find the Bible I want. It just doesn't seem to exist, either because it has red letters, or the text is too small or as in the Schuyler ESV Quentel, too expensive or it's not in my favoured translation, but something always seems to be lacking. For example, I like both ESV Preaching Bibles, but the verse numbers in the paragraph editions does stand out enough which would make it harder for preaching and as for the verse by verse edition, I wish it had poetic settings for the poetry sections. The NKJV is the other translation that I like but hate the capitalized pronouns for diety and it's mostly found in red letter text too. Other than their Maclaren series which is nicely laid out, almost all of them are red letter text. As abominable as it is to me, I'd rather a rather a red letter text Bible than one with capitalized pronouns for diety because in some instances they get the capitalized pronouns wrong and it becomes interpretive rather that translation, in other words, the translators are forcing me to say that the verse or passage is talking about Jesus or God because they capitalized the pronoun in the verse when in fact it is not talking about Jesus or God or the text itself is deliberately ambiguous, an example of this is Revelation 14:14 where the NKJV capitalized the words "one" and "son" in son of man when it should not have. The NASB which normally capitalizes pronouns referring to diety does not capitalize the word "one" in this verse but capitalized son, the ESV does not capitalize either of them.

Maybe you could try a Large Print ESV Pew and Worship Bible? It's black letter, large print, and smyth-sewn. Not completely sure about the paper quality, you may find the verse numbers too small, and there are no translation notes but I thought I'd make a suggestion.

Thank you for the review and I am waiting for the delivery. Well, I have no idea what the 8.25-size type looks like. I know how large 8.5-size is but 8.25...? I don't know.

It is a tiny bit smaller but for some it is still very readable. Thank you for your kind comment. God bless you!
